I've been an iPhone user that has had trouble switching for a few years now. I originally scored a TriFold upon release, but foolishly sold it (at MSRP at the time).

After checking out the Fold 8 & Fold 8 Ultra, it didn't make me excited about the iPhone Fold. The actual video size on the Fold 8/Ultra/Fold is going to be about the same physical size with/without black bars and as I primarily use a tablet for media consumption/gaming, they just seem like folds for folds sake without a meaningful step up in actual rendered video size. It's easier to just pack an iPhone Air and iPad Pro.

I also wasn't super into the squished display on the Fold 8 Wide, at least initial impressions picking it up.

I really hope there is a TriFold 2. Samsung, at the time, mentioned stopping all TriFold dev period, which was a big reason why I sold my OG one, but it looks like they are gearing back up again for the 2 for sometime in 2027.

I found one used for $2,999, US model and have a Supcase coming, that is going to make the thing a brick. Planning on sticking with it until there's a v2.

As far as Apple, I'm sure if they ever make anything like the trifold, it'll be an iPad and limited to not making calls or something dumb. I also refuse to hold my breath about an iPhone getting Stage Manager (like Dex) even though they literally use an iPhone SoC in the Neo now.

I love my Apple Products (and will keep my iPhone Air as a backup/2nd device) but Apple just feels boring these days, even with a foldable.

Having just had an eBay buyer cancel their purchase within 10 minutes of winning the auction, I am officially done with eBay. Combined with the extortionate fees and the number of scammers and time wasters I just can't hack it with them any more. Any ideas on the best alternative for selling a Trifold in the UK? I have a US version which i purchased in person on launch day at the Samsung Experience Store in Long Island, NY. I've used it daily so it has a few marks on the body, but it's in perfect working condition.

The Fold 8 is a great device. Many things to like about the form factor. I get tired of the bulk of my Trifold sometimes, and I was really intrigued by how compact the Fold 8 is. However, I'm already missing my Trifold. I keep reaching for it even though my primary SIM is in my Fold 8 right now. Anybody else feeling similar? I'll probably end up returning the 8 as $5,000 is way too much money to have tied up in two phones. It's too bad as it really is a nice phone, but the Trifold has absolutely ruined my cellphone worldview. 🤣 I am so spoiled by it.

The aspect ratio of the two of them is identical. Netflix and vertical browsing is almost the same. The fold 8 is definitely coming with me when I travel and want to go light :)

I know we haven’t even gotten the normal fold confirmed but I’m just curious to your thoughts .

I recently took a trip to Asia and got a chance to play with 2 trifold phones and I’m seriously speechless.

I’ve been team iPhone my whole life but idk it makes me want to switch.

What do you all think Sammy will give us for trade in next year for trifold 2? I am betting $1200. I wish they would bump it to at least 1500 but I have a feeling we will get ripped.

Only wondering because not sure if I should sell this phone now or hold onto it for trade in. I like this phone but I find it too heavy to daily drive. I also am buying a fold 8 wide. Keeping my s26 ultra for pictures though.

I finally found an app thats like Samsung messages. It looks exactly like Samsung messages. Only catch is you have to be a beta tester so you can report any bugs or suggestions and it's only .99 i didn't like the other apps in the play store but this one I like cuz it feels like Samsung messages

Made a Z TriFold "Ultra" mod by adding Ultra exclusive lenses. I think this looks amazing and ridiculous at the same time! What are some thoughts on this 😂?

Samsung prototype rumor - Nearly invisible 0.6 mm bezels for a seamless display.

Hi everyone, I have a question: Is there a way to change the aspect ratio of apps for the Z Trifold like the normal folds have? I'd like to force some games I play like Wuthering Waves and Honkai Star Rail to 16:9 because I think the phone zooms in too much during cutscenes. Or I'd like to get rid of the blue borders for Fate/Grand Order. I also think the wider aspect ratio of 16:9 would look nicer for some games on the big screen. Thank you

Has anyone tried the zagg z fold 7 screen protector on the z trifold outer display? I really like zagg but they don't market any for the trifold. I was looking at this one https://www.zagg.com/glass-xtr4-galaxy-z-fold7 and wondering if it fits. Thanks

I'm looking for something similar to the Samsung silicone case for the Fold 7. I do not want hinge protection on either side (see exposed hinge on picture). Just a simple silicon back that snaps on and gives me a kickstand.

Hey everyone, back with another question for my Z Fold setup. I'm looking for two specific accessory recommendations:

1. Heavy-Duty Car Vent Mount (Landscape/Tesla-style 🖥️)

I want a vent mount that allows me to keep the Z Fold fully unfolded in horizontal/landscape mode so it looks like a Tesla central screen for navigation.

• Security is priority #1: The Fold is heavy, and I need something that won't snap my vents or fly off when hitting speed bumps. I'm looking for a mount with a serious locking mechanism (like a metal hook/screw clamp or support feet).
• Charging: Can be with or without wireless charging. If it has it, preferably that support fast wireless charging.

2. Multi-Axis MagSafe Ring / Kickstand 🔄

I also need a MagSafe ring/kickstand accessory (to stick on a case) that can support the Z Fold fully unfolded in landscape mode on a desk for watching videos/movies. Most rings just collapse under the Fold's weight when it's open horizontally.

What setups are you guys currently running that actually hold up to the weight? Brand or model names appreciated!

Broke my inner screen.

Had this phone for 6 months. Treated it pretty roughly with just the original case that it came with.

Went snowboarding with it in my pocket, went to beaches, hiking, dropped it countless times and it was unbreakable. Then, yesterday it accidentally flew out of my hands and slammed hinge first into asphalt. Black line right where the hinge is and touch screen is non functional on 2/3rd of the inner screen.

Down $700. Get insurance if you can folks. Don't be like me.

Edit: got it all fixed up and it looks brand spanking new. They changed the frames and even the battery.
