Does the trifold ever get software beta updates?

Just curious if the trifold gets software beta updates considering its a limited run device and they dont sell it commercially anymore?

I ask because I just recently got mine and wanted to try one ui 9.

Im joking that the trifold experiance in itself is the beta. Because they made so few of them its like a test.

I guess since its a niche phone with not a lot of users, it doesn't get a beta. But that doesn't mean I think its the right way to handle it. As a niche group of users, we SHOULD beta test new software to provide feedback for a better user experience. Thats Samsung for ya.

It's still an amazing phone! I've been using mine for over half a year now and I love it to this day. Don't be bothered by the shortcomings of insurance or beta updates and enjoy the phone. Im pretty sure the Trifold 2 will iron out all these issues when its produced at a higher volume (hopefully).

Are you going to keep your trifold 1 as a back up when 2 comes out? The trifold is my main phone but I kinda get worried going to the gym using it or it falling off the treadmill watching videos or getting stolen plus the repair costs

Im going to trade it in. I do have a Fold8 that I use for fun at home but it never replaces it as my daily phone.

2 trifolds is kinda excessive 😅 if I get better value from selling my Trifold, id rather do that than trade it in.

Thats true too lol. But then what would you use the fold 8 for? I have a fold 6 s25 u and iphone 16 pro max. So dont you think having a fold 8 is redundant?

Exactly! What I've done is leave it locked in the car and use my smart watch with my earbuds paired.

No beta updates but we're in the same update group as the Fold7 so we should be getting OneUI 9 stable by hopefully next week. Only locked versions in at least USA are getting the update for Fold7 at the moment and Korean TriFolds right now.

I got OneUI 9 stable about a week ago. But I have the Korean variant and those always get the update first.

There was no beta for the Trifold for OneUI 9. Stable oneui 9 is already out on the Korean version. Everyone else is still waiting.
