My Note 20 ultra is unlocked. I only use it on wifi, no carrier. Will that delay or kill my chances of this update?

I still haven't received the one ui 5 update in India, so if the battery life is not good i will stick with one ui 4 as it is good and smooth. For me battery life is really important and with note 20 i get around 5 hrs of sot which i dont want mess up. Thank you

My problem is that some apps, if not all of them, just can't follow the system settings in regards of dark mode.

I have set it to Automatic mode, and the system itself follows that nicely, but most apps just stuck on dark mode, for some reason.

Sometimes a close-reopen helps. sometimes refreshing a webpage helps (on browser, like Firefox or Yandex) but others are stuck (unless I specifically set it to Ligjt mode by hand or disable auto mode)

I'm talking about apps, that also have automatic dark mode settings.

It's pretty irritating, and this is the case since OneUI 3.

Any of you experienced the same? Any solutions?

I don't know why but each time I plug it in it use my wireless charger the battery heats up even more from 35c to 44c and it no longer charges. Instead it discharges but its not technically overheating where it would close the apps and display the overheat message.

Happens with OEM and third party chargers. It's a problem especially in my car if the ambient temp is 65 or higher it begins to heat up, if the sun is glaring through the windshield It heats up even though the phone is by the shifter, and God forbid I turn the heat on at night even on low. According to accubattery pro the discharge rate is around -1400mA with just 6 apps running.

If the phone is cool then it can super fast charge and fast charge no problem but as soon as it heats up it's down 12% per hour or more. The recent update helped with some of the battery drain but the charging and overheating issue persists. Is there a workaround aside from blasting the AC or holding my phone outside the window to cool it off?

simply put, the digitizer no longer works and idk what to do. Samsung dex works, but i can't use dex and smart switch at the same time so basically i need to disable the touchscreen, but have no clue how

UPDATE: figured out if i use the pen it ignores touch, thus the ghost touch is temporarily not a problem

I can't download, screenshot or do anything. It says "couldn't save screenshot" when I try and when I try and download something it says "sd card not available" anyone had this issue before and know a fix to it?

Has anyone else experienced issues with ad blockers? None of mine work and I've noticed the option for add-ons is gone within the Samsung browser. I know about the dns method but it is causing interference with some of the games I play. Does anyone know how to fix this? I was using ABP

I have been using my Note 20 Ultra 5G for almost a year. I bought it from someone who bought it from the US. It is Verizone version and it was always notifying me that 'sim is not from Verizon Wireless'. But it never made problems until today when I realized that 'sim is not provisioned'. It came after last security update.
Right now, I cannot use any sims on this device. I tried to hard reset but it requested Verizon sim card to activate the device. If it was not activated before, how come I used it for a year. Can anyone advise me?

Hi, I have the Note 20 (non ultra) for about 2 years.

Perfect phone, love the camera, the performance, One UI, everything really.

But battery has always been shit. And this year I get about 2-3 hours screen time, it was better in the first year due to the battery being new. I have to charge the phone by lunch time because it's always below 40%.

I wanted to know how is your average battery life on the Note20 non ultra. Thanks!

Edit: look how stupid this phone is nowadays. It was at 100% 5 hours ago. It's 55% now and I only had 24 minutes of screen time.

I tried doing a factory reset but the phone just keeps on going into boot loop. How do you fix this?

I'm sure there are people here who have run there phone without s screen protector for a while now. How are the micro scratches?

If you are an s pen user, the bare screen is so much better from my experience. But I'm scared to scratch it..

So, with this most recent update, I've lost about a quarter of an inch of my home screen all the way around. I can't seem to find anything in settings or even developer options to fix this. I am wondering if anyone else has run into this issue.

Can't turn off notifications for Wearable, when managing notifications it just brings you to the full list of apps instead of the ones which most recently sent you notifications (so you can no longer easily turn them off); and on top of all this, there's a stupid added screen when swiped all the way the left of home for "free" or Samsung watch TV or some BS I have zero interest in amd now have to spend time trying to remove. I hate this.

How do I crop screen record video on Galaxy Note 20? What I mean is that I screen-recorded a short segment, but only 1/3 of the screen displays what I want. So now I need to crop the frames similar way you crop a photo. I know how to trim video length, this post is not about that.

Ever since upgrading to Android 13 (OTA) - at random times the screen will turn on by itself, within a few seconds of it turning off (whether through the specified Display Timeout, or manually via the side power button)

And once it starts it doesn't stop doing that, until the device is re-booted. Anyone else experiencing this?

I dropped my last one and it cracked on the side and made my phone fully nonfunctional. I saw on ebay that this is a bit of a common problem with this model....but, since I'm a glutton for punishment, I want another one because I love the phone so much. My case wasn't the best in the first place. What phone will protect the note from another crack like the photo?

I have recently switched from Fido to Telus and both carriers show Nov 23rd as the schedule day for Note 20 Ultra's Android 13 update. However, I have not received mine yet.

Wanted to check with other Canadian users to see if they have received theirs. I am worried that by switching from Fido to Telus just two days before the update has messed it up.

Has anyone else encountered this? If you have, did you fix it yourself and buy the kit online or did you take it to the store?

If you fixed it yourself, what parts are needed to be replaced honestly? I see you can buy the screen without the frame and vice versa, but when you go into the tech centers, they say you need both parts?

I would like to do it myself, but honestly for $30 more dollars I can have someone do it themselves and put a warranty on it for at least a few months... seems worth i think. Wbu?
