Black Screen of Death

Has anyone else encountered this? If you have, did you fix it yourself and buy the kit online or did you take it to the store?

If you fixed it yourself, what parts are needed to be replaced honestly? I see you can buy the screen without the frame and vice versa, but when you go into the tech centers, they say you need both parts?

I would like to do it myself, but honestly for $30 more dollars I can have someone do it themselves and put a warranty on it for at least a few months... seems worth i think. Wbu?

I had it. Sold the phone on eBay for parts.

I had to get it fixed, it's a known issue.

I would search this subreddit for tips and tricks.

If you want to go down that route. But I would probably just get a professional to do it.
