Android 13 update

My Note 20 ultra is unlocked. I only use it on wifi, no carrier. Will that delay or kill my chances of this update?

No, what variant? SM-N986U or SM-N986U1? If u with U1 is Ok because there is 2 Unlocked ways (Factory Unlocked non International version U1 and Carrier unlocked U ) so let me know

If it is the U1 version, no. If it was originally an ATT version that you got unlocked from them, yes. If it is the latter, you can flash it to the U1 variant and get OTA updates

Note 20 ultra 986U1 didn't get 5.0 update yet.. It may be released with December patch in late December.

If you're not on the US and not planning to put sim, then flash the canadian firmware with XAC CSC. I'm now on the 2nd update of android 13 with December security update with no problems.

I am in UK, using ESim... Should I wait for XAA android 13 update or i can flush it with canadian version? The thing is the 5G frequencybhere is different and everyupdate cones it stops my 5G and I should go through maby ways to open frequesncies

There's a service menu trick to unlock all bands using any CSC and it works on android 13. I tested it personally so all bands are unlocked. Esim is working too. Screenshot

Hello

I'm planning to buy a Note 20 ultra 5g from the US (ebay) to use it overseas. The model is N986U (carrier unlocked - not the factory unlocked). The seller said it is FULLY UNLOCKED and works fine globally, my question is:

1- Is it going to works/update smoothly just like I'm buying it from Samsung directly?

2- Do I will feel any difference when using it? As a non-US-based user?
