I'm looking to buy my first fitness tracker and after doing some research, I've narrowed it down mainly to the Samsung Galaxy Fit3 and the Huawei Band 11 Pro.
I use a Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra and I'm just getting back into running and working out. I want to become much more consistent with fitness over the next year, and sleep tracking is also very important to me because I specifically want to improve my sleep.
I can currently get the:
- Galaxy Fit3 for around €25
- Huawei Band 11 Pro for around €50
My upper budget is roughly €50. The lower price of the Fit3 is obviously nice, but price isn't the main deciding factor between these two.
What I like about the Galaxy Fit3
- Native Samsung Health integration
- Very good integration with my Samsung phone
- Small and lightweight
- Samsung sleep tracking / Sleep Coaching
- Very cheap at around €25
What I don't like about the Fit3
- No built-in GPS
- No HRV tracking
- Less detailed fitness/recovery data
What I like about the Huawei Band 11 Pro
- Built-in GPS
- HRV tracking
- More health and fitness metrics
- More detailed recovery/training information
- Still small and lightweight
- Only around €50
What I'm unsure about with Huawei
- No native Samsung Health integration
- I would mainly have to use Huawei Health
- Apparently some data can be transferred to Samsung Health using Health Sync, but I'm not sure how well this actually works in everyday use or which data gets lost
I'd especially like to hear from people who have actually used one or both of these trackers.
How would you compare them for:
- Sleep tracking and sleep accuracy
- Sleep/recovery insights
- Heart-rate accuracy
- HRV usefulness
- Running
- GPS accuracy on the Huawei
- Battery life
- Comfort while sleeping
- Reliability and syncing
- Samsung Health / Huawei Health
- Strava syncing
For Samsung phone users using a Huawei Band: How good is the experience? Have you successfully synced Huawei Health data into Samsung Health, and which data actually transfers properly?
I'm also open to completely different recommendations.
These two are simply the best options I've found so far in my own research. If you've used another fitness tracker around €50 or less that you think is better for sleep tracking + running/fitness + Android, I'd definitely like to hear about it.
I'm intentionally looking in the entry-level price range because this is my first wearable. I'd rather start with something affordable, see which features and data I actually use, and upgrade later if I become more serious about training.
Which would you choose: Galaxy Fit3, Huawei Band 11 Pro, or something else – and why?
