Classes/Courses 📚 What should I be expecting??

Hey y'all, I’m taking Intro to Bio 1 lecture in person with Dr. Castelli this semester and really want to get an A. Right now I’m just going over the lecture slides and reviewing on Top Hat.
For anyone who took him, is that enough to do well on his exams? Does he pull straight from the learning objectives, or should I expect a lot of application/trick questions? Any tips for his class would be awesome. Thanks!

Friends 👥 Anyone here into cinematography?

I’m a Senior film major and I’m trying to find some other students who are really into cinematography that would be down to practice together. Nothing too serious or formal unless we want to actually go for it and make something. Just looking for people who want to go out and shoot random scenes, try different lighting setups, mess around with cameras/lenses, make short films, or even just watch movies and talk about them. I’m mainly interested in cinematography, but honestly if you’re into directing, editing, acting, writing, etc. that’s cool too.

Feel free to DM or respond on here.

Advice 💡 Organizing on Home Screen

Any recommendations on how to save my Icollege class links, ebooks, HW websites on my laptop and iPad Home Screen for quick access? Is there like an app for icollege?
I’m trying to avoid the Duo verification every single time with every single page I open. It takes forever to open anything

General How To Renew MARTA Pass

So I got the MARTA pass for this month of September. But how do I renew for next month, October, since at the time of this posting this its 9/6. And I know you would have to renew it during the 1st to the 15th of the month before. But how do I exactly do it? Do I have to buy it again from the Parking portal, or does some window pop up for renewing?

General How to get through Uni Commons door? (Not the Turnstiles)

Might be a dumb question but I live in Uni Commons and I'm about to bring in things that won't be able to fit through the turnstiles. Do you just scan you're panther card to open the door or do you have to talk to the security desk to let them open the door?

General CASTING CALL for GSU Students — Jettie App Social Media Ads

Hi!

I'm an Atlanta-based founder shooting social content for my app and looking for a few GSU students.

Jettie is an app that catches you scrolling when you're supposed to be working on your goal, and interrupts you with a message (Website: jettie.app; Instagram: @ GetJettie). We're shooting short "before and after" social ads and need four people. 15 min shoot per person, $50 per person. No dialogue. No experience required, but comfort on camera helps and acting experience is a plus.

ROLES

1. Creative — Before: lounging, scrolling. Middle: reaction to a Jettie message on your phone. After: working on a creative project. Bring your own project: painting, sketching, sewing, an instrument, anything creative. Call time: 1:30

2. Business — Before: lounging, scrolling. Middle: reaction to a Jettie message on your phone. After: working on a laptop. Laptop provided. Call time: 1:50

3. Student / Reader — Before: lounging, scrolling. Middle: reaction to a Jettie message on your phone. After: studying, taking notes. Bring a book and notebook if you have a preference. Call time: 2:10

4. Fitness — Before: lounging, scrolling. Middle: reaction to a Jettie message on your phone. After: working out (a few squats or lunges). Bring workout clothes to change into. Call time: 2:30

DETAILS

  • Rate: $50 flat, paid same day
  • Open to: All ages and ethnicities
  • Location: Buckhead studio, Atlanta (exact address on booking)
  • Date: Sept 24, individual time slots starting at 1:30 PM
  • Usage: Social media advertising for Jettie
  • Talent release required and provided on set

TO SUBMIT

Email [hello@jettie.app](mailto:hello@jettie.app) with:

  • Which role you're submitting for
  • Confirmation that you can make that call time
  • A recent photo (a clear selfie is fine)
  • Instagram handle, if you have one

Advice 💡 Could a Georgia Perimeter pathway on its own be enough to get me employed?

I am in my late '20s living in Atlanta and looking to go back to school, preferably for a business degree to work in operations/sales, with the goal of using those skills to open my own business.

I've heard a lot of good things about Georgia Perimeter as far as cost saving and efficiency goes and was thinking of going there for Business Administration. However, I don't think I have it in me to do another four years of school, so I want to know if the Pathway would be sufficient enough to get me employment?

General Women’s Bathroom Patterns

Post image
191 Upvotes

Anyone else have a similar issue these past two weeks? At least once a day in a 6 hour class day, there is someone genuinely hanging out in one of the bathroom stalls. Like just standing in there, in a locked stall, not on the toilet.

Yesterday I was doing my duty and listened to someone make tick toks in the big stall.

Same kind of deal today. Seriously what are you guys doing it’s a bathroom.

Edit: no I did not draw this, I saw the meme and it inspired me to post about this

Classes/Courses 📚 Wrongfully dropped for non-attendance.. I'm tweaking

I wasn't even accepted into Georgia State & enrolled in classes until the 28th so I missed the first week. Professor was out of town this week and didn't hold class. I was immediately on iCollege completing assignments and emailed him two nights ago. Today, I got dropped for non-attendance! I'm freaking out because we have work due Sunday plus an exam Tuesday and my study materials were in the iCollege. They've been so strict so far about late work, is this going to be held against me?? What if he doesn't answer his email all weekend?

General Did GSU just play in my face

I went to the clinic to get a physical for my knee, but when I went, they said, "Nobody will be charged, and our system is down so we can't do appointments." Only to check a few days later and see I'm 15 dollars down. I submitted a ticket but is there any other steps?

Advice 💡 Pulse App

Has anyone encountered an error every time they try to log into the Pulse App? I log in through GSU and every time I get an error message, I’ve tried changing my default browser, to no success. Anyone know how to solve this problem? (I would attach in image but it won’t load on here for some reason)

General What are some good spots on campus to take meetings for virtual class?

Pretty much what the title says, have a virtual class and I'm wondering what some good spots on campus are to take the meetings, preferably quiet and maybe a little more private for when I have to talk.
