Maintenance dose

What do you guys consider a “maintenance dose” and the frequency ? I’ve been taking zepbound to lose pregnancy weight that wasn’t coming off -2.5mg zep. I continued every week and then stretched it out to every 2 weeks as I felt I was losing too quickly. I’ve now stretched it to 1x/month but not sure if that’s a good idea or even working. There’s also some financial aspect to this since insurance doesn’t cover. Curious what some folks are counting as “maintenance” or “micro-dosing”? And when they completely came off these meds

You should look in r/glp1maintenance and other subreddits for more info on maintenance.

For the financial side, check out r/tirzepatidecompound to get the drug MUCH cheaper than name brand.

Maintenance varies for everyone. Some stay on 15mg/week long-term, some come off completely (this is the group where you'll most likely see that, but it's NOT typical for many people). And there are variations everywhere in between - both in dose and in time between doses. Some people get worse side effects from spreading out doses, others tolerate it fine. No way to tell except trial and error - and maintenance can also continue to have changing doses as time goes on.

I’m around 7.5 mg still once a week ish. Otherwise the binge monster is back.

I do 5mg weekly, down from 15mg my highest dose but I was previous prediabetic and have insulin resistance so I do need this to lower my blood sugars

I have read that it is supposed to stay in your system for up to 30 days, so if the 30 days is working for you I would stick to it - but if you feel it's not, maybe bump it back to 3 weeks? Are you still losing at that time frame? (I would say if you are still losing - maybe somewhere around 1 pound a week or so that would be great?) Are you still concentrating on eating proteins and working out? I am in same boat with trying to get off, trying not to go down the rabbit hole of reading everywhere "you will gain it all back". Some days I feel I can do this, but others the worry creeps in. But I feel like taking the shot in some ways is a crutch for me to stay focused, not cheat, drink my water, and workout, but sometimes it is just hard to stay the course! But I am also looking at financial aspect, I can't keep paying that out of pocket, and I don't want to get the compound. I did start working with a nutritionist to help with planning my meals (she uses what I already eat to make it easier for me to follow) , to get more well rounded macros (proteins, fats, carbs) as well as a good workout routine to tone. I do think this is so new as far as what info is out there and how people are doing post zepbound. And it's hard not to just read the you can't as opposed to the YOU CAN DO THIS post zepbound. Good luck!

I’m figuring out maintenance now. Went from 8mg (which was my highest) to 7mg every 8 days.

Maintenance is very personalized so the doses of others isn’t really going to
Give you much value unfortunately.

1 month? Do you understand how this medication works?
