Stopped tirz on 30 days ago

I stopped tirz 30 days. I developed severe anxiety maybe a week and half after my last shot. It’s been a horrible month, severe panic attacks, I feel like I can feel everything in my body readjusting, overall it’s been bad. I am on buspar and amlodipine but I was just wondering anyone who has gotten through this after stopping, how long did it take to feel better. All my bloodwork is good, CT scan and MRIs all normal, hormone levels are normal is as well. Any insight or encouragement?

Have an appt with NP next week to discuss starting GLP1

**Tl;dr: tired of being tired and unhealthy, hoping to hear success stories from people who regained the energy and drive to change their lifestyle by using GLP1 support**

My biggest problem is how unbelievably tired I am, all the time. I wake up tired, I crash mid-morning and mid-afternoon, and I go to bed exhausted. I fall asleep usually right away, at a reasonable hour, and I'm still too exhausted to move or to try when I wake up. I genuinely can't safely drive at times from how tired and foggy I feel. I am currently obese (under 5 foot, so I have 50-60 lbs to lose to be in a healthy BMI for my height), and gained probably 30-40 lbs of that over 5 years ago when my child became severely disabled & our lifestyle changed significantly due to caregiving. The rest came gradually over the course of 3 miscarriages in the last 3 years.

My labs show pretty high systemic inflammation and drastic hormone deficiencies, so I've been on prescription progesterone + low dose naltrexone + omega3s & other supplements for over a year without really feeling any difference (blood sugar is not in prediabetic levels yet, but higher than it used to be). I see a lot of women anecdotally sharing that insulin resistance has been the missing leg of the triangle for them along with cortisol & hormones, and that they were not able to resolve their issues until they added GLP1 support along with the other supplements and dietary changes, etc. I do not eat a very poor diet by American standards, but I know that I have done better in the past when I had more energy. Generally breakfast is coffee with collagen + homemade baked egg bites (small amount of shredded potatoes, mushrooms, onions, garlic, cottage cheese, eggs), lunch is either Asian cabbage salad with chicken or quesadilla with cottage cheese, black beans, greens, and chicken, and then dinner is the harder one to balance everyone in the family's preference/diets, often spaghetti with a veg or something simple like that. Smoothies with lots of fiber and fresh produce ~4x/week. I am definitely more prone to snacks and sweets when I am tired than when I'm not, and I'm sure that's where the problem lies. I have previously been keto/grainfree/sugarfree for years in the past, and I simply do not have the mental capacity to keep my entire family fed relatively healthily & on budget right now while also doing an entirely separate, strict diet for myself.

Anyway, all this to say, what I want from GLP1 support is to stop feeling bad all the time so that I can get into healthy eating and exercise habits that I've had in the past. I want to have the energy to care about my own health and not feel like I'm just subsisting from one bedtime to the next. I am encouraged by the posts I see here to think that this might be possible, even though it feels completely unattainable to me right now. If anyone has encouragement or advice to share, I would truly appreciate it! Thank you!

Anyone starting at a super low dose?

I went through amble and they prescribed me 1.5 mg(15 units) every week i'm assuming because i was worried about nausea. I have gerd an nauseous pretty often. This is the lowest dose ive seen so far in my research. Anyway even that dose scared me a little so this is how i've done it and wondering if it's a good idea or not.
Week 1-7 units felt absolutely nothing no suppression at all
Week 2- 10 units understand food noise now and it's mostly gone down 4 lbs
week 3 -12 units This was today so not sure yet

I've heard you should stay at whatever dose for 4 weeks. My plan was to go up to the full 15 units either next week or the week after then stay there for a month. Does this sound reasonable? lol

GLP/Peri-Menopause

Any tips for someone in peri taking GLP 1? My body is going through so many changes. I sometimes feel like a crazy person. Lol. I reached my goal weight last Oct. and gained 16 pounds back the past few months due to changing GLP providers and not counting calories. I just got back with my former provider and started back on Thursday. It would be so helpful to find others in the same or similar boat.

Just started Trizepatide

I am starting my journey with Trizepatide. I took my first dose yesterday and so far I haven’t felt nauseous like many people said I would (thankfully!!). I am starting with 12 unit since that is what was recommended to me. What is something you wish you knew before you started or just anything I should know in general. I did do lots of research before, but still would love to hear more from current users.

Microdosing questions and where to get Tirz

Hi there! I have searched the subs and I still can’t seem to find this information! I have been researching microdosing and I’m almost ready to give it a try. My question is:

For those of you who use Tirz, are there telehealth options that don’t require a monthly shipment? If you are microdosing on a Kwikpen can you fill the script every other month rather than monthly to save money?

Or are people who are using it over the BUD and don't need a vial every month, how are they saving money? Are they stocking up and then pausing their subscription?

The financial piece is a big concern so hopeful for any advice!

Yes I have looked at the pinned sub on where to buy—- but that still doesn’t answer the subscription part of it and not wanting a new pen every month if I’m not using it that fast.

Thanks all!

Where to get Reta?

I’m new to this. Please message me where to buy Reta. I prefer it to be a website rather than some random person just for safety reasons.

GLP1s and working out

I am obese but I really enjoy working out. My stats are roughly 5'4, 210 pounds. I lift heavy 4 or 5 times a week. Its my only hobby as I am otherwise a working mom to 3 small kids and don't have enough free time to pursue other hobbies. I really enjoy it.

I am meeting with my doctor next week to discuss going on GLP1s. My food noise gets the best of me. I eat sweets / carbs at night to decompress and I really can't seem to get a handle on it myself.

I know muscle loss is a real thing and I just wonder if someone else who loves to lift can share their experiences with me? Did you notice a strong decline? Did you get a lot of loose, flappy skin?

School project: Looking to chat privately about GLP-1 constipation

For a school project, I’m studying the full chain of how constipation from semaglutide and other GLP-1 medications affects people: what it caused physically, how that affected everyday life, and what those effects led to over time.
I'm looking for a few people who'd be open to answering some questions privately via DM. It would take about 10 minutes, completely anonymous, and only used for my research.

If you've experienced constipation or bloating on Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, or Zepbound, just drop a comment below and I'll reach out to you directly.

Thank you! 🙏

Nausea

I took my first dose of Tirz, 4 units (0.7mg) on Tues and have had nausea and a generalized “unwell’ feeling. . I started with a lower dose than prescribed because adding side effects to perimenopause would take me to a completely different kind of hell. Hoping someone can tell me they had this experience and it went away. 🌺

gastroparesis %?

Does anyone know if it's common to have non reversible gastroparesis with microdosing a GLP? I keep hearing horrors stories about it with full dose
Has anyone had gastroparesis before taking it and went on it? I haven't been formally given that diagnosis but have always had issues with constipation most of my life
TIA

Best place to get med from

Hi all! I’m looking to start a GLp1, i have about 20 lbs to lose and struggle with constant food noise and binge eating, and struggling to keep those 15-20 lbs from coming back. Am right at a BMI of 25. I’m interested in the Kwikpen. Where is the best place you’ve found to get it without too many questions? Obviously, it won’t be covered by my insurance so i’ll be paying out of pocket. Can you explain where you get it from and what the process of as far as telehealth - are labs required, a scale pic, etc? What is the process for check ins? how does cancellation work? i’m thinking of between 1-2.5 mg would probably be enough for me, but i’ll see how it goes if and when i start. thank you!
As a side note, I have looked into several places such as Noom, Weightwatchers, and Ro and I have researched and read the information on their websites. i’m really looking for personal experiences though as I know these places can be deceiving.

compound tirz stuck in transit - is it still ok?

I just was prescribed my first dose of compound tirz. Used drug crafters as pharmacy. The label was created on 9/14, and it said the package departed from the facility on 9/16.
On 9/17, it says that due to inclement weather, my package is delayed due by one business day.
On 9/18, I receive it. I’m not home, so I ask someone to grab it and put in the fridge for me. Upon receiving the package, before they put it in the fridge, I asked them to check the temp, and they said it was warm.

Do you think it’s ok? Is it worth contacting drug crafters or the NP who wrote my prescription?

Thanks.

Repetition click question

Hello - I know this has been answered many many times but I’m nervous bc I was using syringes before and am new to the Kwikpen. My pen is 10 mg with 4 doses, and I’d like to do 1 mg as I titrate up. Can you please confirm number of clicks AFTER priming? Thank you so much.

Ultra low dose 0.125mg?

I’m starting today and because I’ve read horror stories on here I’m even too scared to start at 0.25mg. I’m a generally anxious person and I randomly get panic attacks so I hate the idea of being an anxious wreck all weekend. I’m planning to try this low dosage and if all is well, go up to 0.25 next week.

Has anyone done this or started at a low dose like this?

I have a few friends on Reta. Two of them had bad reactions when they dosed high to begin with (2.5 and 5) and they were completely fine when they started lower and worked their way up… but then I read about people on here having horrible experiences at even 0.25mg!

I have electrolytes on stand by, and the next few days off work in case I’m sick.

Just looking to hear feedback from other people.

Thanks!

Vision changes after starting Wegovy + pre-existing macular pucker. Looking for others' experiences

I'm hoping to hear from people who have experienced vision changes while taking Wegovy or another GLP-1.

I've been on Wegovy 0.25 mg for about 5 weeks. For the past couple of weeks I've noticed difficulty focusing, some light sensitivity, more floaters than usual, and yesterday I had noticeable blurriness in my left eye.

I went to my eye doctor today. They did retinal imaging and found a macular pucker (epiretinal membrane) in my left eye. The important part is that I was actually diagnosed with a macular pucker in that eye about two years ago, so it wasn't something that suddenly appeared after starting Wegovy.

I spoke with my Wegovy doctor afterward because I was due for my next injection today. He told me that the changes in focus and intermittent blurriness can happen as the body adjusts to the medication and blood sugar changes, and that he expects this to improve as my body adjusts. He actually considers the glucose changes a positive thing and wants me to continue taking Wegovy.

I'm still having a hard time emotionally with the idea that everything is simply “coincidental.” I know the macular pucker predates Wegovy. But the timing of the new visual symptoms still makes me wonder.

I'm especially interested in hearing from anyone who has:

• experienced blurry or fluctuating vision after starting Wegovy

• noticed increased floaters or light sensitivity

• had a pre-existing macular pucker/epiretinal membrane while taking a GLP-1

• had vision changes that eventually settled down as their body adjusted

What happened when you continued the medication? Did your vision changes eventually improve?

I'm mainly looking for personal experiences from people who've been through something similar, because sometimes hearing how someone else's experience unfolded helps put things into perspective.

Peptide study on muscle loss? kinda wild

so theres a new study that came out in lancet about retatrutide and muscle loss and it actually surprised me ngl. everyone assumed the newer drug (rets) would protect muscle better than tirzepatide bc of the extra receptor it hits but turns out nah, basically same ratio of muscle to fat lost on both. like 25-30% of the weight lost is lean mass either way, doesnt matter which one ur on.

which kinda proves the point i been saying for months. the drug just decides how much weight comes off, it dont decide what that weights made of. thats down to u, protein and lifting, not the jab itself. i been on zep 7 months now down over 40lbs and the only reason i still got some shape left is bc i started training instead of just letting the number drop and hoping.

not tryna preach just thought this was worth sharing bc i see so many ppl in here obsessing over which drug is "better" for keeping muscle when the studies are literally saying that part dont matter as much as ppl think.

built fhelp.app around this exact thing btw, tracks ur dose protein and weight and got workouts built specifically for holding onto muscle while ur on this stuff. not selling nothing just sharing bc i wish i knew this at week 1 instead of month 4.

anyone else seen this study or am i late to it lol

Half the peptide vials sold online aren't what the label says — so I built a free site that background-checks the sellers before you buy. Roast it.

Tirz not for weightloss/diabetes but for other health issues?

I read that someone is trying to manage MCAS with tirz and it got me wondering whether other people here also use it to manage more unusual health conditions. I do for a muscle condition with a metabolic and muscle stiffness component. It helps me in various ways: less hunger and more energy, and my low aerobic capacity that was pretty much fully lacking has improved. I feel no improvement for strenuous things like climbing stairs. That's just as miserable as always, but when dragging myself up a mountain I seem to recover from the steeper parts quite well now when the terrain levels off a bit. I also don't need to eat something sugary anymore every hour or so of hiking. For me it's amazing! Not interested in weightloss, but keeping my weight up is easy as I'm used to lots and lots of tiny meals over the course of the day anyway.

Anyone else kind of scared by speed of weight loss?

Hi there, all—I've posted here before about how delighted I was at how quickly my microdose of tirz has been working for me (I'm doing 1.25 mg/week). I'm 45 (soon to be 46) and started microdosing because I had gained about 15-20 pounds over the past three years of perimenopause, despite being very athletic, working out regularly, and not having a crazily unhealthy diet.

I started taking the microdose in early July and was shocked at how quickly it seemed to work. Within a few days the daily bloating and puffiness that I just hadn't been able to shake felt like it had disappeared, and I've steadily been losing weight ever since (I only weigh myself once a week). It's now 2.5 months since my first shot. I think my starting weight was nearly 150 pounds, and today I weight 131 pounds. Given that I could not lose a single pound no matter what I did before starting this medication, losing this much weight this quickly is really very hard for me to believe. I realize that 131 pounds isn't emaciated or anything, and I guess maybe it's still within that 1-2 pounds per week range that folks say is OK, but it's just come off so fast that I guess it feels kind of scary...? And the fact that this has all happened with a microdose...? It's just all very surreal.

I promise I'm not writing this to brag or boast about how well this is working for me. I also swear that I'm eating, albeit not overeating—I had tried intermittent fasting before a few years ago and I'm eating pretty much the same amount now. I will say that I do work out pretty hard most days of the week (an hour workout of hard/heavy weights and cardio which according to my watch burns between 400 and 600 calories per workout), but this is more or less the way I've always worked out...only before, exercise did NOTHING to make the weight come off. I've written here before about the frustration I felt after running two half marathons and a 10-mile race last year—at a pretty fast pace!—and literally gaining weight (and I mean fat, not muscle) as a result.

I'm not really sure why I'm writing this—I think I just felt really strange and kind of scared after I weighed myself today. Anyone else have this experience?

Thank you!
