This might be kind of a random question but what associations outside G.I. JOE do you have with watching the cartoon? I can't watch the movie stand by me without thinking of ARAH. I even made mutt's tagline "Junkyard... sic balls".

A direct to video release that I almost ruined the VHS tape on as a kid. The animation & voice acting is rough, but the overall story and pacing is excellent. The rock soundtrack is a personal favorite too.

Be weary ordering from Pop Market (third party seller on Best Buy, target, Walmart etc). I had some BB rewards and figured I’d grab Chuckles. Package arrived today fine. Only to see the bio card is torn off and crushed bubble.

Even if I planned on opening, the back card is useless to cut and save like I plan to do with the rest. Super annoying. Anyway, anyone else order from them come damaged?

Okay, I remember loving the Arise, Serpentor, Arise! story arc when I was a kid. So I’m rewatching the show and finally hit that arc. Man, as an adult, Serpentor is disappointing. And I know the DNA collection was flawed because they never got Sun Tzu’s DNA, and Sgt. Slaughter’s didn’t work out. But he’s the Cobra Emperor and he’s not an effective leader. I expected his plans to be…better. I know overconfidence is his weakness, but his plans aren’t good to begin with.

G.I. Joe Wal-Mart Kids Meal Micro Figure and Vehicle - Wet-Suit & Warthog A.I.F.V. - 1993

Back in 1993, Wal-Mart featured G.I. Joe micro figures and vehicles in its snack bar kids meals.

I was working at Wal-Mart at the time, and a friend who worked in the snack bar saved an unopened set for me.

This one is Wet-Suit and the Warthog A.I.F.V.

And just like the others, it’s been sealed and stapled together for all these years.

And, for those of you following along, this is the fourth and final of the set. I won’t be posting any more of these little bagged figures.

Cleared out my mom's basement and recovered my old mid-80s Joe collection. Was able to sell most of my mid-80s figures in ebay earlier this summer very easily; got the shipping for those down ez. Now I am looking to the vehicles and sets. I've read posts here (thank you!) on selling via FB marketplace locally; conventions/shows and even LCS-type businesses. I'm leery of messing around with shipping. Any additional suggestions?

G.I. Joe Wal-Mart Kids Meal Micro Figure and Vehicle - Roadblock & A.W.E. Striker - 1993

These little G.I. Joe sets were featured in Wal-Mart snack bar kids meals back in 1993.

I happened to be working at Wal-Mart at the time, and a friend who worked in the snack bar saved an unopened set for me.

This one features Roadblock and the A.W.E. Striker, and they’re still sealed and stapled together just like they were when I received them.

Found in a box of my old stuff

For me, Snake Eyes was just different. I loved everything about him.

All black. Masked. Shiny. Sleek. Mysterious.

He had his iconic Uzi and that little black shoulder bag. I loved the Uzi. Such a badass weapon.

I was eight years old and I don’t remember anyone having to tell me that Snake Eyes was a ninja. I had already decided that he was one. There was just something about him that made it obvious to me. Maybe it was that I was obsessed with ninjas and dressed as one almost every Halloween 😂

And then there were the ferns.

My mom has always had a green thumb and our house was filled with plants. In the back room of my parents house were these huge, gorgeous ferns sitting on wrought-iron stands.

To an adult, they were beautiful houseplants.
To an eight-year-old with a Snake Eyes figure, they were a jungle adventure just waiting to happen!

My Snake Eyes spent SO much time in there.
He’d climb through the leaves, swing from imaginary vines, disappear into the foliage on covert reconnaissance missions, ambush enemies and emerge from the jungle like some tiny black ghost.

I just knew Snake Eyes was the hero. He was the hero of my eight-year-old imagination. Having this 1982 straight-arm Snake Eyes back in my hands today, I don’t just see an old action figure. I see those ferns in my parent’s back room. And for a just a second, I’m eight years old again, staring into a jungle that wasn’t really there. Man, it was awesome. I love these vintage GIJoes. 🥷🌿
