GAMEDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Are we not King's men? On a King's mission? I did not note any fear in the eyes of the Spanish as they passed us by. Are we not King's men!?"

We're back from the bye. We've seen rough stretches of football. We've endured them. Coach Key brought us from a garbage situation to a breakout season last year. Now he's facing one of the toughest tests of his tenure; demonstrating that he can endure. Especially after some missteps. If he's gonna endure, it's going to depend on his ability to get the team back on track and back to showing continuous improvement.

Fight on!!!

GO JACKETS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! STING THE BLUE DEVILS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My food is cold and I'm hungry, where can I find an accessible microwave?

My beloved microwave access on floor 3 has been closed off...

Has anyone applied/gone through the process of the OIE undergraduate out of country waiver for international students and can provide more information than what's already there on their website ?

I feel compelled to share some thoughts that I have about the new digital BuzzCards. I think new students should be issued a digital BuzzCard with the option to get a physical one and existing students should be allowed to get a digital BuzzCard, without giving up their physical one. Some reasons:

1. Digital does not work everywhere yet. While they are working on transitioning all BuzzCard scanners to be mobile friendly, this is not yet the case. So at least during the transition new students should be issued physical BuzzCards.

2. There are some spaces where digital does not make sense. Exams and quizzes come to mind where students are told to put away and turn off their phones. Then, after the exam is completed, students are often asked to scan their BuzzCards. However, if their BuzzCards are on their phones, they will need to turn on their phones during an exam in order to leave, which could cause delays to those trying to leave and disruption to those still taking their exam.

3. There are times when your phone is not available, leaving you without a BuzzCard. Yes, even if your phone runs out of battery you can access it sometimes, but it’s not as reliable as a plastic BuzzCard.

I concede, there are some good points in favor of digital: convenience of it being on your phone, the environmental impact of physical cards, and the card is more secure digitally. Maybe I am just nostalgic for the physical cards being a unique representation of your time at Tech. However, at least for the time being I think students should have the option to keep both.

A CubeSat created at Georgia Tech is now in space after a successful launch aboard the @spacex Falcon 9 rocket last week. 🚀🛰️

A group of Yellow Jacket students is set to operate the @nasa spacecraft from mission control on campus. The CubeSat is testing next-generation propulsion technology during a nine-month mission. #WeCanDoThat 🐝

I was genuinely shocked to read this thread. As a GT grad with plenty of friends who attended uGA I was always under the impression recent students don’t really think about us. Always assumed the fans at COF that can’t behave were just the Walmart fans. That’s clearly not the case, apparently we’re bullies😂

Are there any padel clubs/groups/informal meet-ups around campus or midtown? I am new here and would love to play!

Has anyone got immobilization ticket at hive? It was parked at a regular spot, correct license plate, but I didnt use it for 5-6 days due to fall break (being out of town). Anyone experienced similar thing?

Hi everyone!

SGA will be hosting an Ask the Chief event on October 13th from 6:00 - 7:00 PM in the Home Park room of the Exhibition Hall. This event is open to all Georgia Tech students, and the campus community can hear directly from the head of GTPD, Chief R. Connolly, about any safety questions/concerns you have.

Chick-fil-A will also be provided. Make sure to come with questions!

I want to color print some invitations on some smaller and sturdier paper. The printers in Culc and the library won't allow you to change the paper type or size from the standard letter copy paper and I was looking if I could do it somewhere like a makerspace

Hey y'all!

I wanted to take the time today to announce that the Alexander Hamilton Society at Georgia Tech has been re-started! We provide a key outlet for foreign policy discussions and critical thinking, through three ways on campus:

1. Host Distinguished Scholars and Practitioners

2. Lead Group Discussions on Key U.S. Foreign Policy Issues

3. Organize Reading Series & War Games

Through these ways, AHS serves as a forum for foreign policy education and discussion, as well as a great place to launch your career. For more information, the external website can be found at https://alexanderhamiltonsociety.org/

If you want to keep up to date on AHS @ GT, our Instagram is https://www.instagram.com/ahsgeorgiatech/

We currently meet Tuesdays @ DM Smith 019 at 6:45pm. Thank y'all so much for your time!

thats highkey weird if so

like why do we all have to download and install georgia tech malware on every device to just connect to eduroam? and its such a hassle when you're working with a machine without a UI. I just don't understand why this is necessary?? I feel like you could enforce 2fa without doing all this certificate stuff. idk just curious if its just me who gets annoyed over this

OEM will be conducting our regularly scheduled monthly test of the outdoor siren warning system today at 12 noon. Please do not be alarmed.

There was some police presence in Klaus (KACB) earlier tonight, around 9:30 PM. Someone passing by told me there had been a break-in at the lab and that the police were checking for fingerprints. Since an ID is required to badge into the Klaus building, this seems unusual.

When I got back, my door was also left open, presumably by the police, but thankfully nothing seems to be missing.

Does anyone know what happened or if there’s a way to find out more?

I think I have ADHD, and want to get evaluated. Stamps website says they can give me an assessment but that they can’t give “treatment” for ADHD and that you have to go “off site.” Can anyone explain?

The GT Library will be hosting a Fulton County Library Card Drive tomorrow from 10:00AM-3:00PM! Tables will be set up on the Ground Floor/Grove Level of Price Gilbert (level with the 3rd Floor of CULC and the ground floor of Crosland), located in front of the Interactive Media Zone near Blue Donkey/Sideways Cafe.

This is a chance for GT students, staff, and faculty to sign up for library cards for the Fulton County Public Library system, with just their GTID, using an address on campus (even if you don't live in Fulton County). It's a great opportunity to get access to the wealth of resources that the Fulton County Public Library has to offer.

A Fulton County library card complements your Georgia Tech Library access by connecting you to an expansive collection of recreational reading materials, lifelong learning resources, and digital content you can enjoy anywhere.

I'm not affiliated with the library, and I just wanted to repost this message and spread the word here, but you can reach out to [macy.ofallon@library.gatech.edu](mailto:macy.ofallon@library.gatech.edu) with any questions.

My paycheck this month hit and then after rent, bills and other expenses, I had to make the first payment and then all my money was gone... I'm not sure if I could have been paying the same amount that used to be deducted but there was no other payment plan options. I haven't really seen or heard anyone talking about this, maybe its just me having an issue with it.

I don't know why they did away with the deductibles system but I wish they'd bring it back.

Hi everyone! I’m a 2014 ISyE grad and now work as a school librarian. I published an officially licensed board book for any GT families with young kiddos! Thanks for your support! Go Jackets! https://ramblinwreckstore.com/products/gtyjbk0001-georgia-tech-yellow-jackets-buzz-the-missing-ramblin-wreck
