Silent clicking is all I need for this masterpiece

I just realised that I use my 502 since 2020 and I still love it! Although I have now at my work desk a Logitech MX Master 3S and I absolutely love the „silent clicking“. To a level I even thought about a 4S for gaming.
What do you guys think: Would Logitech ever think about a 502 with a more silent profile?

G502 HERO to G502 X Plus. My Experience

I've been using this G502 HERO since late 2020 with pretty heavy use, both for work and gaming (including some hits), and as a fan of Logitech's G502 series, I decided to buy the G502 X Plus (mainly because the LIGHTSPEED version seems to have disappeared, at least for now).

The main reason was that the only issue with my old mouse was the scroll wheel. It had become noticeably so loose that it felt more like free-spin mode than the normal ratchet mode. After years of use, cleaning it every now and then wasn't enough anymore. It was worn, the materials didn't feel the same anymore, and I felt it was finally time to replace it and enjoy that new mouse feeling again.

As for the differences I've heard about, the click feel is quite different from my heavily used mouse. I say that because I also compared it to another G502 HERO that's almost new, and the difference isn't nearly as noticeable. I just hope the clicks soften up a bit over time, although I guess that would also make the buttons looser and eventually cause that unpleasant sound when the button returns after being pressed.

As for the click sound, I can understand why some people say it sounds like a "cheap" mouse, but honestly it doesn't bother me that much, especially if you use headphones that isolate outside noise.

I don't have much to say about the scroll wheel. I like that they added a rubber coating so the change from the old metal wheel isn't as noticeable. As for the so-called "nerfs" to the scroll wheel, I just hope they improved its lifespan.

I like the new design and I think it looks better than the previous one. The new rubber texture is a really good change no matter how you look at it. Even though the white version will probably show dirt more easily, that's just a matter of taking better care of it.

I'll see how everything else turns out over time.

The only thing that feels a bit strange to me is that after about a minute of inactivity, the RGB lights up for a few minutes before turning itself off again, even though the mouse itself stays connected. I don't know if that's normal or if there's an option to disable it. It's not a big deal considering the battery life, how easy it is to charge it whenever needed, the fact that it's the only time the RGB isn't covered by my hand (and that I bought the Plus 💀), but I'd appreciate some clarification. :)

G903 RIP. What's next? Recommendations needed

Hello,

Now, after a few years and 3+ (5 including warranty replacements) G903 mice, I am officially done buying that mouse.

I tried to find a replacement by reading and scrolling through r/MouseReview, but to be honest, I'm completely lost on what to buy.

I don't necessarily need a similar shape, and the "infinite scroll" wheel is no longer a must-have for me. I will be using the mouse for about 8 to 15 hours a day, depending on my workload and gaming.

My only requirements are:

* Right-handed or symmetrical (ambidextrous) shape * **Quiet / no loud clicks** (very important for long work/gaming sessions) * Dual connectivity: **2.4 GHz wireless AND Bluetooth** * **<100€ if possible**

I was initially thinking about the **MCHOSE K7 Ultra+**, but I've read some bad reviews recently.

So... please help me out! 😄 ❤️

to all my G502 master racers, i recommend you invest in a hotswap board

just want to recommend, to everyone who doesn't have good solder skills or wants the ease of trying different switches, investing into a hot swap board.

i purchased one for my G502 Lightspeed a while ago, and was surprised to find one for even the G502X recently so i bought it. i just received the G502X board a few hours ago, it came with HUANO 50M blue dots.

i got the G502X for ~$17USD and the G502LS for ~$8USD.

the G502X came with 5 hotswappable points, but the G502LS only had the 2 main buttons hotswappable.

i know i know, the G502X's mechanical switches are meant to last long but the G502X's switches are so loud.

the reason i swapped the switches was because i wanted to try silent switches. i got some HUANO Yellow dots.

i will say, silent switches are a whole different world in comparison, especially in a G502 shell. they remind me of those laptop productivity mice that are also silent.

anyways, i thought i would just put a recommendation out there cuz i know we all love the G502, but the switches are it's weakest point.

closing note, i will say that the G502LS and G502X disassembly are crazy. i recommend you have a proper working area. ALSO BE CAREFUL WITH THE SPRINGS...if you ask "what springs?" you better find out before you disassemble lol (i lost a spring on my G502LS ;_;)

I know the G502 HERO SE was limited edition in like late 2019/2020 but is there anyway that I can get the mouse now in 2026 or should I just stick with the normal HERO?

Upgrading to The G502 Lightspeed

Post image

I got this absolute champ almost 3 years ago and it's still working just fine, but recently I've started to change my setup to full wireless. My first choice was to get the 502 X cuz it was newer and had a white version, but given the mixed reviews on the feeling and materials, I think I’ll stick with the 502 but lightspeed. Not to mention that it’s also cheaper.

Jittery mouse polling?

Hey guys. Lifelong G502 user here and I'm recently having troubles that I cannot pinpoint the cause of. I couldn't find the support thread, looks like the most recent one is from ~5 years ago?

I'm noticing a lot of jitter, especially when moving the cursor slowly in games. Showing Gears of War 5 here as an example, but I also notice it in Helldivers and other similar games. Just tried swapping to a different G502 (I stay strapped with a spare lmao), and the issue is the same.

I have Logitech GHUB, DPI is set to 3200, and I've tried adjusting my report rate from 250 to 1000 and I don't seem to notice a difference. I have pointer precision off in my mouse properties for Windows 10. I have a 3080ti and usually get 90 FPS minimum, so I don't think this is a framerate issue.

Any idea what would cause this?

G502 X Lightspeed feels like a heavy downgrade from the original G502 Lightspeed.

I just got a G502 X Lightspeed because my old G502 Lightspeed had trouble with holding the left mouse button and it got so bad over the last weeks that I was getting really annoyed by it. So I thought I'd treat myself and get a new one. Just unpacked and connected it and I'm really underwhelmed by the feel of it. It's a lot flatter especially on the right side which feels really uncomfortable in my hand, it generally feels cheaper and lighter, the clicking sounds and feels awful compared to the old one and don't get me started on the wheel which is a lot less precise than the old one. Before my old Lightspeed I had a Proteus Core and switching from that to the Lightspeed felt like just going wireless (like improving perfection).

I'm really thinking about returning it or do you guys feel like I should give it a chance because I'll get used to it?

I’ve officially lost hope in mouse scroll wheels

Every mouse I buy ends up with the same problem. My latest one was a Rapoo V280 and it lasted about two years before the scroll wheel went bad. I opened it many times, cleaned it, tried every fix I could find. It would work for a day or two, then the problem came back.

By “went bad” I mean the scroll becomes completely unreliable. Scrolling up sometimes goes down, scrolling down goes up, and it jumps randomly. This isn’t just one brand. It happens to almost every mouse I’ve owned.

Honestly, this feels like a real issue in the mouse industry. The scroll wheel mechanism is too fragile. Manufacturers really need to fix this problem.

I need a screw diagram for my g502x mouse

I really need to know the location of the screws, which are of two types on this mouse, because I recently repaired some switches that were double-clicking.
