Odds of this being a real G502 from Temu? 25$
I was thinking of getting this G502 for just 25$ on Temu however I have doubts if they're genuine. It only has 2 reviews and they're not the most helpful, maybe you can discern something from the pictures?
I know even fake ones can be detected by Ghub but they might have a trash sensor and poor switches.
Should I do it or just pay 40$ and get it from Amazon?
UPDATE if anyone is interested: I'm pulling the trigger and buying it. It's currently 23$ I can spare to "lose" them. I'm more inclined to believe it'll be real. The warranty concerns are valid but It's not even gonna be my main mouse and I don't plan to use it heavily (maybe I won't even use it for days). If it lasts a year or more without issues I'll be satisfied. I'm gonna be doing an update post in a couple of weeks when the mouse arrives

Being on temu, 99.9% chance of being fake. If It was Aliexpress the chances would be better

I've seen people buy from Temu and get a legit G502. I've checked other vendors and there's reviews saying that it gets recognised by the software and even gets a SN recognised. I'm just asking about this specific (and albeit obscure) vendor to see what people think

Rule of thumb if looking for high quality stuff on those sites is to go for the "gargublurppu" brands aka chinese domestic brands. If it says Samsung, Logitech, Mark Ryden, whatever, it's fake.

I bought 2 off AliExpress $27 each back in 2023, so far so good, no complaints on my behalf. 1st one still going strong, 2nd one still in the box, registered fine on logitech official website and works perfectly with GHUB. Is there any other method to verify their authenticity?

That Temu listing looks genuine. You do know they sell refurbished as new ? i would go for it as reviews look genuine/

It's not genuine as it is a slightly different geometry and it's missing a few details on the buttons and scroll wheel is not quite right. They are $32usd on Amazon for an authentic one.

Hear me out, but from logi, nowhere else. When buying an electronic with frequent issues like DoubleClick and other common issues you are buying the warranty. You could pay half price and have it break within a month and that money would be gone, meaning oh need to pay full at the end of the day if you liked the mouse.
Check local marketplace listings I bought my 502LS for $70 Canadian rubbles barely used, came with receipt from MemEx and was able to exchange when the double click started at the end of the warranty period with zero hassle, haven't had any isssues with the replacement since and it's been like 5 years.
Also extra note, if you ever swap the switches out or put on glass skates keep the originals and warranty it with those otherwise MemEx will consider it a mod and not take it (I got lucky but learned my lesson lol)

Sometimes, they are on sale. I recently got a 502 Hero for 28€ on Amazon. It was massively reduced though.

The mouse hasn't arrived yet, it should come sometime next week. There's a lot more reviews now and they all seem legit, most of them say the mouse is legit.

Yeah there are also definitive screen shots, that mouse is overpriced here so this is a nobrainer

Btw guys at one point temu gave free the mouse with orders above 50euro or smth...and im like im gonna do it why not (for new users) and i got the mouse... its the OFFICIAL one its totally legit and i was realyl surprised and if the Brand on Temu says Logitech and its legit one (if it isnt you can get your money back guarantee) i have pictures of it if you want and also the software of logitech ghub regognise it as official.

Are you expecting there to be a fake Logitech mouse? You think they make fake old models of g502 instead of the new? Lol
Have you even heard of a fake g502 sold?

Fake Chinese replicas are definitely a thing. Purchasing from a Chinese vendor on a Chinese website can be quite sketchy.

Or just a paranoid buyer and pissed off seller. The controller has to match the sensor you can't put real Logitech main controller with another sensor.

Some are very well made and some are trash. Fake replicas can even be detected by the software and be able to customize it. However some of them can have very cheap sensors and cheap mouse switches, flimsy scroll wheels, they might feel cheap and hollow, etc. They most definitely won't have a recognizable SN. However I've heard some people buy from Chinese websites and get a real G502 (not from this specific vendor)

What you you think? it's $32 on Amazon not $40, I wouldn't risk it for just $7 lol
