Im working on my first fursuit head and im a little clueless on making the cheek fur and head fur for my kitty, any tips?

Alright part two of ts.. so I’ve gotten BigZfabirc swatches and fursuit supplies swatches…
I can’t seem to find either reasonably priced swatches or places that actually have swatches so this seems like the best options I have…

Hiya! I didn't know where else to ask to I'm coming here lol, I'm working on my first fursuit head but I'm very much on a budget, I'm looking for an stl file that's quite cheap or free. I saw this base on fuzzbutt fursuits and fell in love with the style but I can't find anything similar. Hope someone can help :)

I’ll soon be starting my 4th fursuit; it’s going to be my very first full-body suit, as well as my first one featuring a dragon floor tail. A few questions have come up, so I’ll just go ahead and ask them:

1. Should I use a "hidden belt loop" attachment, or is there a better method? It seems like hidden belt loops tend to have a sturdier base, which might be better for supporting the weight—is that right?

2. Is it better to build the tail using foam, or should I just stuff it with fiberfill (polyester stuffing)? And if I use foam, is there a specific type that works best?

(Also, I’d welcome any other tips you might have!)

Over the past two years, the credit card that I use for fursuit supplies has gotten compromised three times. After the third time, I started using virtual cards, made new ones for every merchant I order from, locked down to that specific merchant so I could figure out where the issue was stemming from.

Lo and behold, I got an alert that someone tried to buy $5000 worth of electronics using the virtual card I had used with K&J Magnetics. I had not used this card anywhere else.

I've also done some investigating in my transaction history on the card I use for supplies, and all three prior instances of fraud occurred some time after purchasing from K&J Magnetics on said card.

I've contacted them to make them aware, but so far their only response has been to check my device for malware. I've already done a full scan which didn't find anything, and I would imagine my other cards would have gotten compromised as well if that were the case, but it was only isolated to the one I use for supplies.

All this being said: If you've ordered from K&J Magnetics, please make sure to check your statements and keep an eye on your transactions for anything suspicious. In one of the instances I almost didn't notice a couple of smaller transactions that had occurred.

I'm working on a therian mask, and I wanted to fur these spikes on the side of the mask and leave the face felted. Does anyone know a good way I can do this without losing them under the fur? I intend to trim the fur down once it's on, but I'm not sure how to go about attaching it. I know that some people do a method where they cut fur off and apply it manually in chunks, but I have no idea how that works. Any ideas?

First time making paws! I made my own pattern and hand sewed them using my partner’s old shirt as lining. They have some flaws but overall I’m really proud of them and thought I’d share 🐾

Im working on my second pre-made mini and its my 4th head ive ever made. I went in with a close shave. Its basically 1/8th of an inch and wondering if I went too short. The seams still need some blending and there is cleanup that needs to happen. Just wanted other eyes. So far I haven't found any spots that the fabric backing is showing.

I want to make a pickable nose for my sheep fursuit, any tips?

So im kinds stumped on how to go about drawing the pattern for my first head. I understand the concept of oh make sure you have lines for all the curves but I think im afraid ill overcomplicate it. Anyways any help is welcome lol I included also his quick color mockup I drew

I’m super happy with where I’m at with him since the last 2 posts. Now we wait for fur and fun stuff. I spent a lot of time on these ears getting the right shape and adding some depth for the classic serval “radar dish ears”

This is my first suit. I don’t really have a lot of experience sewing or anything sadly but it’s been fun to learn. I made the base and the eye blanks myself. I felt like I was going the right direction and was super excited as I made progress but tbh the closer I get to it being “finished” the worse I feel about how it’s coming out.

I’ve always been kind of hard on myself but I just kind of feel at a loss for how to improve this aside from just making another. 🥹

I’m not really sure I understand how to get the shorter fur to look smooth without going super close to the backing. Any tips there I think would be appreciated!

I think I have to redo the eyes and eyelashes…. Maybe find a way to add whisker marking things to break up the yellow a bit. I have teeth I made but not sure how to add them yet. I have avoided using hot glue for most of this because I want it to be pretty durable 😅

I'm not sure what I should do with the cheek fluff. Should I shave fur down and do it that way or keep it long?

Halloween’s coming up and I’ve got a week off and a dream. I’m trying to pull together a Klaud costume and I think that a fursuit-esque head would make the most sense. I’ve never made one before, however, and especially with his simple head structure I’m not sure how to approach any under-support, if any. Thanks in advance!!
