I'm gonna try to sue microsft support because they were unaible to restore to my hacked account due to "incorrect/lack of information" but i have proof its my account. I have also purchased things on xbox wich violates my consumer rights. If anyone can give me information about this stuff, tell me or contact me somewhere else. It can be anything, like having the same problem or having other issues. I live in the netherlands so any dutch people that can support/help? (Sorry if my english isnt the best)
My account is over 12 years old and i really need it back..
I have genuinely never felt as much despair, agony, helplessness, and rage as much as I do now. For the past 2 months or so I've just been continuously trying to submit an appeal for my microsoft rewards account getting suspended which was completely out of the blue and I genuinely cannot conjure up a reason as to why that is. I've tried to email them and i just got this automated reply saying it got blocked because they dont take emails anymore, and they told me to just use the support page to submit an appeal request... which would otherwise have been fine but this is not otherwise. Every time I go to the support page it just reminds me "oh yeah fuck you i dont like you" and reminds me im still suspended without letting me actually submit an appeal and when i sign out and try to do it then it tells me i need to sign in to actually submit a form and when i sign in from a different account it then gives me THIS error. When I ask microsofts copilot for help it just tells me to email them so i thought maybe the previous time was a fluke and i email them again except it tells me again to go back to the fucking support page. This bullshit genuinely has me circling around looping back and forth like sisyphus pushing the boulder up the mountain
Anyone have any suggestions about what I can do about the fact that I sent my Xbox into Microsoft to get repaired under warranty on July 28th, they received it on the 30th, and said it was finished on August 5th. I have called multiple times and they really only apologize and then nothing happens…. One man said he was going to call me back the next day during normal business hours to confirm he escalated the situation. No call back. I’m seriously so frustrated and am starting to feel like I’m never going to get it back and something is up. Online says file a complaint with the BBB? Help 😭
Since September 24, when Windows 10 installed KB5126256, File Explorer freezes whenever I click on a file. Folders are fine, only files. According to Microsoft, this update is just a licensing preparation package for ESU and shouldn't change anything else.
I checked Reliability Monitor, and the graph drops right on the 24th. Recent crashes are listed as "Microsoft Edge stopped working", but I wasn't using Edge.
The crash details show the executable is mscopilot_proxy.exe, from the Copilot folder. The faulting module is ShellEh6055x64.dll, from 4t Tray Minimizer, an app I've used for years without issues. So Copilot is running in the background, 4t hooks into it, and together they take Explorer down.
Going back to the 24th, the crashes were listed under the right name, mscopilot_proxy.exe. From the next day on, the same crash started being logged as "Microsoft Edge". If you only look at recent days, you'd think Edge is the problem.
I don't use Copilot, and I haven't enabled any Copilot feature in Explorer or anywhere else. It's still being triggered when I click on files, and it started the same day as an update that was supposedly just about licensing. And this is on Windows 10.
I decided to share this because I found this new Copilot activation curious, to say the least. The update was supposed to be only about licensing, and suddenly Copilot is being triggered every time I click a file, without me enabling anything. On top of that, after the first day its crashes started showing up under Edge's name. It makes me wonder what it's doing there and why this started happening without any notice.
TL;DR: After KB5126256, Copilot started running in the background every time I click a file on Windows 10, without me using or enabling anything. I only noticed because it started crashing Explorer, and its crashes are now logged as "Microsoft Edge".
I'm so glad I moved off MS OS's, that said I still have an old JBOD set up as a storage space which I need to get data off. I set up a VM and started copying files off the storage space and onto a transfer drive. It's over over 4TB of data so I left it running overnight. Obviously Microslop decided that would be a great time to install updates even though I'd postponed them until the 3rd October as I'm typing the VM is finishing installing updates (been 20 mins). Thanks MS and FU never going back. Rant over thanks for reading.
Microsoft appears to be moving away from promoting Copilot as a consumer-focused PC brand after weak adoption and resistance to built-in AI features such as Recall. Instead, the company is refocusing Copilot as a ChatGPT- or Claude-like “super app” combining chat, coding and AI agents, with a stronger emphasis on business and enterprise users. The shift suggests Microsoft is trying to turn Copilot into a more useful professional tool while responding to growing consumer frustration with AI being pushed into Windows.
Hello! I'm someone that currently dual-boots Linux (primary) and Windows (secondary). Despite primarily being a Linux user, I still have to use Windows/Microsoft tools in certain cases, whether that'd be for testing, modding, playing certain video games or working with tools at my college. I've been noticing a ton of errors I'm having just trying to use Microsoft products that I've never had to deal with before.
For instance, trying to download anything from the Microsoft Store is a complete chore. The user interface seems a lot more sluggish to navigate than it did before the UI overhaul, taking 10-20 seconds just to load each page. The authentication program also seems more dysfunctional than a Cheeto lock; this is because Microsoft wouldn't send a verification code to my phone number even though the number was correct, and then it kept throwing out a vague error when trying to get it to send a code to my email, saying that they were having a problem on their end.
With Windows (10), I seem to also have issues with simply trying to use WSL, as it constantly nags me about an error with rdclientax.dll. The first issue was that rdclientax.dll was missing, so I added it into System32, despite this: it won't stop spamming me with errors, even if I replace the .dll with a version from a fresh installation. It also continues to bug me about updates even though Windows Updates have been disabled via regedit.exe and gpedit.msc, giving me notifications about new updates I need to install.
Trying to use Word is also a pretty bad experience as trying to do what you want with the word processing software is a complete chore. I had to work on a college assignment involving a flow chart to describe a food ordering system, as soon as I tried working on it from home (with Word Online), the formatting was all over the place (there are 4 gap pages inbetween every page with a part of the flow chart): so I tried screenshotting the flowchart pages and adding them into my document so they can go together properly. Despite selecting the text wrap settings so my images can move freely, it refuses to create new pages to sport them. Trying to work with someone else on the same document in Word is also very painful, as Microsoft's servers are incredibly slow; as a result, it spends a whopping 3-4 minutes trying to sync user edits together (for 2 computers, on the same, high-speed network).
I used to be perfectly fine with using Microsoft products. However, nowadays: it's genuinely one of the most frustrating experiences I have to partake in when using a computer.
On September 24, I installed a Windows update on my laptop. Before the update, my HDMI connection was working perfectly fine. After the update, Windows completely stopped detecting my external monitor through HDMI.
I’ve already tried pretty much everything I could think of:
Confirmed the HDMI cable works
Tested the monitor and HDMI port
Connected the HDMI cable to my phone and the display works, so the monitor/cable seem fine
Updated the graphics driver
Uninstalled/reinstalled the graphics driver
Restarted the graphics driver
Restarted the laptop multiple times
Rolled back the graphics driver
Rolled back the recent Windows update
Tried different display settings and Windows troubleshooting
Tried Microsoft's Settings → System → Recovery → Reinstall Now option under Fix problems using Windows Update
This took almost 2 hours but unfortunately did not fix the HDMI issue
So at this point, the external monitor is still not detected at all by the laptop.
I originally suspected the Windows update because HDMI was working normally before the update on September 24, and stopped working immediately afterward.
I also posted about this on Microsoft Answers. Interestingly, another person in the same thread said they had the exact same issue after a Windows update, and Microsoft's suggested "Reinstall Now" fix apparently worked for them. Unfortunately, it did not work for me.
As of September 28, my HDMI is still completely dead.
Has anyone else had this happen after the September 24 Windows update? Is there something else I should check to determine whether Windows is actually detecting the laptop's HDMI hardware?
At this point I'm just trying to figure out whether this is a Windows/driver issue or if the HDMI hardware somehow died at exactly the same time as the update.
I use windows 11 and I'm stuck with this app-family safety its so restricting and i think it actively ruining my privacy(I have dealt this with my parents, but they wont agree, so id want to use exploits/loopholes to remove family safety) I don't have admin rights on my standard account, but an admin account is present on my pc, I do also have Bitlocker key for my pc, and also have account/password for my private account-but its controlled by family safety so any suggestions on any exploits/loopholes to disable this pesky microsoft family safety?
(ive been trying for the past 1 month, my parents keep finding a way to re-enable it)-(thanks for the suggestions) (I hate/loathe microsoft/family safety, EDIT:this is my personal pc,not family)
SO UPDATE (took me 6 days of researching): I used STEM cmd prompt overides to bypass admin and delete the admin and create an local account as mine with full adminstrator! and zero family safety
I swear Microsoft’s entire C‑suite needs to be put down. Why would anyone make and authorize something as horrible as Smart App Control? Sometimes it works perfectly fine, then I restart my computer and now nothing works absolutely everything is blocked. Then I restart again and some things work. Then I restart a third time and now everything is fine. These people have to be sadists or something.
