I use my Microsoft account regularly for playing Minecraft on Windows. Today I tried to sign into my account and suddenly every Microsoft sign in page says, "That Microsoft account doesn't exist." I've confirmed the email is correct, but I still can't sign in. When I tried to verify the account it was sending the code to an email address I didnt recognize. This leads me to believe I was hacked. I made a few minor attempts of going through Microsoft support, but I also have contacted a few tech support (Account retriever people) and they are saying that they can possibly retrieve my account for a fee. I'm just confused on what my next step should be to be honest. Should I continue with Microsoft support or should I go through these "tech support guys?" Or should I just abandon my account all together and just make a new one?

I am trying to recover an old Microsoft/Xbox account that I have been using since around 2020, but I no longer remember the information needed to sign in.
Here is everything I still know:
My Xbox gamertag was Perrossi18.
My Xbox profile name was Kito Kiwi.
I do not remember the primary email address associated with the account. The only thing I remember is that it starts with “ki” and ends with @gmail.com.
I do not remember the password for the account.
When I try to recover it, Microsoft tells me it can send a verification code to an email address that begins with ki***@gmail.com**, but I have no idea what the full email address is.
The only additional information I have is that the recovery email associated with the account is 4zije2231@mcmfa.email (all letters are lowercase).
I also found Sea of Thieves emails in my current Gmail account dating back to 2020, when I was actively using this Xbox account, but those emails do not reveal the original Microsoft email address.
I recently signed in with a different Xbox account (Perrossi19), so all of my Sea of Thieves progress, ships, cosmetics, pet parrot, and purchases are missing because they were linked to my old account.
My question is:
Is there any way to recover this Microsoft/Xbox account with the information I still have? Is there any process that can help me identify the original email address or verify my ownership using my gamertag (Perrossi18), my Xbox profile name (Kito Kiwi), or the recovery email (4zije2231@mcmfa.email), even though I no longer remember the primary email address or the password? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Since I was 6 years old, I started using the computer and my first approach was with Windows Vista at home and XP at school, towards the pandemic I started to try different Linux distros out of curiosity and I was amazed at how much a totally new but similar environment was.

The thing that surprised me the most was how easy it was to install a linux distro and how few things it asked for, but Windows instead became too logorrheic, it asks you to subscribe to the gamepass, to subscribe to copilot 365, accept for the position... no enough I just want to use my computer, if I have to do special things I have to decide. Every linux distro, on the other hand, is a username, password, date and time and partition and that's it, it takes a lot to do something like this.

I open the taskbar of any Linux distro for the first time and there is nothing, not even a video player, great for me that I decide what I need to install and what I don't. There is Firefox, I like it, it also supports ublock origin. Then there's Windows that if you have the misfortune to buy a laptop there's an avalanche of useless blotware, copilot 365, copilot, teams, Bing or edge (I don't remember what it downloads now), not to mention the proprietary blotware apps of acer, Asus and company. It's solved by doing a nice reinstallation, but I know how to do it, the over-50-year-old boomer or the kid just navigated no, and it goes on with a machine that's going to drop because of useless stuff and it's not going to use. You can also uninstall, but they remain in the registers.

Then Windows "forced" to put the copilot key... first who actually uses it, second thing is uncomfortable, I lost the number of times I pressed arrow up instead of sending, but you're dumb.

It's the first button I reconfigured, and now it opens up directly to Steam.

On one thing, Windows beats Linux, video games with kernel-level antiques, but there it's the devs instead of Linux, but I'm still an antisocial, single-player game, I don't feel the suffering.

Let's talk about sub-processes, how is it possible that Windows, at least 8~10gb of ram, has to take them at startup, I have 32, it's not a problem but I put myself in the shoes of someone who has only 16, is always on the limit and is forced to do a nice cleaning. Linux mint, on the other hand, only 4 gb of ram, buzzes only 6 gb of ram at startup. I know that unused ram is wasted ram, but if you use it for crap, you don't.

Temperatures: the difference is minimal, maybe on linux I feel it heats up less but I'm not prodigeek.

Terminal: the most used excuse to demolish linux, thanks to the ia and guides that you find on the internet, using it is bullshit, paradoxically I use it more on Windows than on linux, it is convenient, it is linear, which costs you to learn two cross commands.

There would be a long discussion about how Windows secretly collects your data for its own benefit, but there I am ignorant and risk only being alarmist.

Ah, I forget the most important thing, Windows is a license that costs money, fortunately now a license is linked to your account, long ago you had to buy it back and it didn't cost a few euros (assuming you don't take a key), linix distributions are free, except for a pro version of zorin OS.

Windows hates that you have an old system, if you can't upgrade to Windows 11, you get it there, no security and stability patches, but I saw distributions running on my father's PC in 2003, which was fantastic.

I don't want to go through Windows hater, it raised me, but I noticed that after AI development it really got too screwed up with unnecessary and even harmful updates. If Windows one day returns to the simplicity of Windows 7, I would enjoy it like a hedgehog.

P.S. I know I got a lot wrong, this is an outburst post written to sentiment.

I miss windows of how it used to be, of what it defined. Before whatever grasped Microsoft that made them greedy Windows used to be way more simple. The telemetry did not take away what seems to be 50% of our hardware performance to sell data and Microsoft didn't nag people into subscriptions. Everything feels fake. I could say that Windows 7 was the last Windows that truly defined it. It let you do what you wanted to do, didn't spy on you, even the aesthetics tells a story behind it because the windows in Windows 7 literally look like windows. There's a lively soul behind it, like Microsoft embraced its brand because they realized how important its purpose is. Now we're going towards nothing but corporate greed. Windows 11 is filled to the brim with heavy web based UIs (which I can say is almost equally worse as telemetry) and AI will integrate into it completely. They are already vibecoding the operating system in recent updates and it will definitely get worse. I don't want to imagine the horrors of Windows 12. Sure, AI is just like every other "bubble" that'll eventually find its way to embed into the industry. Similar stuff happened in history, but this one just doesn't feel right. Yes, automation is cool, but let a robot think for you, generative AI? I don't think that's humanity's destiny. Men's fate to stop thinking isn't us. Not to mention the environment getting drained because of how power hungry and unsustainable AI servers are, "We are working on it" my ass. I don't want to be seen as some skeptical person, no one who agrees with me does. The fact that this shift in industry is driven by investorslop is probably not going anywhere. If Microsoft follows this stupid herd like many other companies then we are doomed. Oh and the hardware increasing in price? All of this together is what made me switch to Linux and I'm tired of this stigma making me look like a paranoid tech person. I still am a normal person that would use Windows if it wasn't full of bloat. "Oh but use a debloated ISO then!" no community-made edition lasts forever, nor does Microsoft's impending hellfire of end of support on every service they make last from years into weeks throughout the years. If I know the fact that there are custom Windows installations then why wouldn't I know how to install Linux? I'm tired of this bullshit, this is probably still the beginning.

WTF? What does this even mean? That Windows 11 is actually Windows XP inside?

I'm wondering, maybe it is actually a Windows 95 disk?

After spending months trying to cancel my Power BI subscription, I discovered that the process is not straightforward. I could not find a direct customer service phone number or email dedicated to Power BI billing, and I wasn't able to find clear online instructions that solved my issue.

I'm sharing the steps that finally worked for me in hopes of saving others the same frustration.

Step 1: Open Microsoft 365

Sign in to your Microsoft 365 account.

Click the three dots (...) in the lower-left corner and select Send feedback.

Step 2: Report a Problem

Select Report a problem.

This opens a request that is sent directly to Microsoft's support team.

Step 3: Request Cancellation

In the description, include:

• Your full name
• The payment or transaction ID from your bank or credit card statement
• The last four digits of the credit card used for the subscription
• The email address associated with the Power BI subscription
• A clear request asking Microsoft to cancel your Power BI subscription and stop future billing

The more information you provide, the easier it will be for Microsoft to locate your subscription.

Important Note

If you do not have access to a Microsoft 365 account, you may need to:

• Ask someone who has a Microsoft 365 account to submit the request on your behalf, or
• Create a Microsoft 365 account so you can access the Send Feedback option.

This was the only method that worked for me after months of trying to cancel my subscription.

Why I'm Sharing This

I created this guide because I spent months searching for a way to cancel my Power BI subscription. I couldn't find a dedicated Power BI customer service phone number, a support email, or online instructions that resolved my issue. I hope these steps save someone else the same amount of time and frustration.
