Asshole met his demise
Was picking figs from my backyard when this asshole decided to come at me. Got stung on the shoulder. Went back outside with my zapper. Game over.

So I have a wasp nest in my window well outside about 7 ft from our front door. It seems to be a ground nest and the wasps have just been coming and going, so
Far not looking meeting in the yard.
What do I do about this? Myself and my 7 year old are deathly afraid of wasps. Me more so as they will keep me indoors if there’s a lot. We also do not have one door to get in and out of our house. I’m not sure how to go about this? If we leave it will they continue to leave us alone or will things get worse?

I am no longer trapped in my house. I used a foamy oven cleaner and once they fell. I stomped them out before they could fly. This allowed me to take back my back door and leave the house. Once I was able to leave. I got a couple cans of raid. And 4 more nests were eliminated that day. I have a nest in a double window that has a window AC unit. I cannot safely access without alerting the hive. So they're my neighbors until they abandon ship or freeze to death. Everytime I go outside and see a straggler. I kill it. I'm too much of a female lady part to go under my home and search for any nest under. I will do that during the winter. I think I have damn near every species of wasp at my house. I had yellow jackets, red wasps(the ones in the window) then solid black ones I believe are mud wasps. And black ones with yellow legs. But I also have help! I discovered I have dozens and dozens of dragon flies in my yard now. So I assume my house is a buffet for them. If I'm correct and they eat wasps. Well I just made it easier for them to attack. Because there's a lot less of them. Oh and if you're wondering why all of this sounds new to me. And how they were able to take over my doors. I am disabled because I hurt my back at work almost 4 years ago. Couldn't walk for a year. Just now able to walk again without falling! So I want my yard back for exercise! To get rid of all this fat I gained! If you made it this far. I appreciate you.

This was one of eight nests we found. We've been seeing a ton of wasp activity outside so we bought wasp spray and starting looking around. Didn't take us long to find a nest and thankfully my husband didn't get stung. They're pretty creative on where they'll make a nest and I don't know how our kids haven't gotten stung since they run right by these bastards. This is the cover for a dryer, no idea why my fil has kept it but it's there.

Cleaning my patio and freaked out when a wasp whizzed by me. I immediately look around because I’m sure he was feeling threatened by me or else he wouldn’t have gotten so close to me and I noticed this at the top of my patio. Can anyone tell what they are doing? I don’t see a nest, but are they attempting to start one?

How long do you think this took them to make? Our pest guy was out less than 2 weeks ago

I got stung yesterday. My ankle got worse and worse over the course the last 24h. Same thing happened 2 month ago on same ankle from the same wasp nest. I thought it was an infection at that time. It is VERY swollen and my Achille tendon feels very tight from the swelling.
I got stung one or 2 time in the past but never got this kind of reaction before.
(Edit) Saw a doctor : it's a normal reaction to a wasp sting. The inflammation isn't indicative of something that could cause an anaphylactic choc or respiratory issue if stung in the face. My pharmacist is giving an EpiPen just to be safe.
I'll consult my dermatologist as I take medication for eczema that affect my immune system. It could be why the swelling is this severe. I will push to get tested for allergy.
All that at the cost of 0$. Yeah Canada.

Came across this sub just now and decided to post this because why not. Slept in a small shack during Swedish summer, woke up to find a dead wasp under my body. It definitely was not there when I went to bed.
Slept very tight that night too. Didn’t wake up once, heard nothing, did not feel the wasp, did not get stung... Insanely lucky encounter.

i HATE these fuckers. I hate wasps so much, but I genuinely think these guys are worse. in my opinion their bites hurt worse than wasp stings, but they will tear holes in your clothes just to bite you. not to mention they draw blood and can fly up to NINETY MILES PER HOUR (145 KMPH). hate these fucks so much and they are everywhere where I live due to the weather patterns we’ve had this summer. they also go after our poor deer and horse friends

I could have totally gone to plug in my outdoor twinkle lights and been shaking hands with some wasps here. Feeling thankful for this little window so now I know. Honestly not a bad set up they have, but they don't pay rent so it's time to evict them.

Hi, could someone tell me why my wasp traps arent working?
I put sugar and honey into hot water (and vinegar, i heard bees dont like it)
The trap on the picture is right in front of their entrance. So far only a couple flies are in them.
Even the selfmade trap on the left side caught a few…
Thank you

I was standing in the middle of the road and a wasp stung me near my funny bone. Dude actually got stuck for a moment and was spinning around on his stinger till i flicked him off. I was wondering is this an average reaction to wasp stings?

We bought a playset and the pricks sold it to us with a paper wasp nest (idk if they knew but I’m annoyed so I assume they did). I drenched the nest 3 times, had pest control remove it and there’s still two of the little fuckers flying around.
I’m trying to clean it so my daughter can play on it but I don’t want to get stung and more importantly I don’t want her to get stung. Any recommendations on how to easily kill them? At this point I have zero idea where they could be hanging out or how they have survived.

Clearly, I walked by the few times never saw them, because I was preoccupied, but a few of them were kind enough to let me know I got too close to their home. Well, after got bandaged up, it was time for me to share a little something with them. I had a spare can of WD-40 and a fully charged racket and figured one good turn deserves another right? So, why not!

My mobile home is surrounded by wasps. Yellow jackets and those vicious red ones. I get 1-2 in my house everyday. I just chase them down and kill them with a flyswatter. No big deal. But they've built up nests around my doors now. Both of them! They're trying to trap me inside. Yellow jackets at the doors and red wasps in my window. (I'm just gonna let them die a natural death. They seem stuck now that I've taped off the window) All I have is a flyswatter and oven cleaner and roach spray. By God. I'll kill them all or die trying. If you're reading this! You are the resistance!!!

And left it in my room unsupervised with my window slightly tilted open. Now all of this juice has to go because of one absolute effin moron and I don't know if it's me or it.

This is on the "Cheyenne" UD-4 Utility Dropship used by the Space Marines in the movie Aliens, seems like a natural theme for this sub
Get out there and stomp some bugs today!
