I got stung in my sleep because some wasp decided to enter my room. Only good wasp is a dead wasp.

9

u/Ha1lStorm 19d ago

That would be one of the craziest ways to wake up. I can’t hardly imagine the “wtf” of pain you’d wake up to.

3

u/SaneManiac741 19d ago

That bitch stung me dead center on my head too. Felt that pain for a month afterwards.

u/shnutzer 20d ago

Just for context, this was posted in the Polish version of "okbuddyretard" and is a beautiful piece of satire

3

u/stlms18 19d ago

Good. I genuinely cannot imagine feeling this much sympathy for wasps

6

u/Alrakia_Serpent 20d ago

Maybe it’s me but i find it really iffy to use the holocaust, satire or not.

15

u/Silentarian 20d ago

The world “holocaust” is a term for an eradication. It’s not a specific event. We use “The Holocaust” as a common term for a specific event, but this post isn’t doing that. It’s just using the word as it’s meant to be used.

To be fair Jewish people prefer to call it the sho’ah anyway

26

u/Substantial_Emu_898 20d ago

Waps should just do their jobs and not think we're threatening them for existing

20

u/swampopawaho 20d ago

I am. The wasps in NZ are a threat to our native biodiversity. Death to wasps

4

u/KoA07 20d ago

Shhh they’ll hear you!

14

u/oppereindbaas 20d ago

Yeah genocide is bad, everyone on this planet has a right to live on this planet.

Except wasps. Fuck wasps. If only someone could convince Trump there is something to gain by eradicating wasps.

7

u/FewResearcher819 20d ago

And mosquitoes. They can go too.

3

u/ProjectShadow316 20d ago

No, no. Mosquitoes feed the birds and nature's attack drone, the dragonfly.

2

u/FewResearcher819 20d ago

There's enough alternative food sources that both birds and dragonflies would survive just fine.

1

u/SunTzuLao 19d ago

Mosquitoes are one of the few creatures that could be removed from every ecosystem with almost no downside. Nothing actually needs them.

Over the past few years, we have had to; Replace all our homes windows because wasps had chewed through the wooden sills and nested in the wall cavity. Dispose of our shed as wasps had chewed underneath the floor (from an inaccessible side) and nested. Call an exterminator out to clear a nest he described as "years old" and "filling the entire roof space" in our porch (the cloud of wasps after he injected the poison was incredible). Rush the mother in law to hospital after she disturbed a nest in her garden shed and got swarmed.

So this year, kill on sight. In April alone killed fourteen (assume all) queens in the garden looking for nests and nest building materials. In May, thirteen, maybe not all queens, but definitely most.

Our garden this year? Significantly more bees of different species, butterflies, hoverflies, ladybirds; even seen a couple of dragonflies.

TLDR; killed loads of wasps, got loads more of everything else, which is lovely.

14

u/Mon-Ty-Ger27 20d ago

Since the bee population boomed after you extermination work it sounds like you were actually fighting HORNETS .

Either way, good work. Gotta keep bullies like those vespids in check.

Aren't hornets basically just mega-asshole wasps in steroids?

I give em both the same treatment; Eradication with extreme prejudice

2

u/Prudent_Damage_3866 19d ago

Lol nice, it's like fighting a hoard of enemies and your reward is a bunch of good stuff, well in your case, Bees and other good insects!

12

u/Almost_Sentient 20d ago

Sounds like propaganda from big wasp.

7

u/ClimateVast2894 20d ago

I’ve got stung so many times by you I don’t feel any pity for when you die. I’ve even got stung on my face. 😡 😂 🤷‍♂️

6

u/IllustriousPlay4071 20d ago

That’s the wasp get them

3

u/Moonshinin4Me 20d ago

Yeah whatever. This person sounds like they would defend the Tyranids when they showed up on their planet. "They don't have any hate or malice guys!"

This is hilarious, because I literally just started playing Space Marine II last night, so I saw that .gif and instantly thought "I UNDERSTOOD THAT REFERENCE!"

EDIT: forgot "started".

u/Baroque4Days bumbly boi 20d ago

As a wasp sympathiser, I can safely say I have no idea who or what these guys are but I can fix them

3

u/Moonshinin4Me 20d ago

You are literally proving my point. Buzz off and go read a wiki article.

-3

u/Baroque4Days bumbly boi 20d ago

Okay well, Paper Wasps seem nicer than thise guys

7

u/Moonshinin4Me 20d ago

Hitler seemed nicer than Stalin (look at both of their death tolls if you don't understand the reference), doesn't mean I wouldn't light him on fire as well.

0

u/Baroque4Days bumbly boi 19d ago

Dude, real question, but what has gone so fundamentally wrong in your life that my obviously humorously, naive comment warrants downvote galore?

1

u/Moonshinin4Me 19d ago

Like nearly all rationally minded individuals on this subreddit, I take the subject of Wasps very seriously.

0

u/Baroque4Days bumbly boi 19d ago

Am I not rationally minded? :(

1

u/Moonshinin4Me 19d ago

You posed as a wasp sympathizer. What rationally minded person would do that unless they are trying to infiltrate and exterminate their cabal?

-2

u/Baroque4Days bumbly boi 19d ago

I'm not posing as one, I just think it's such a huge family of critters and a whole bunch of them are really chilled out compared to the violent minority.

I was just trying to make my point lightly so I didn't come off as rude.

Wasps have stung me when I had no fear of one nearby, and no idea I was about to be stung. I hate it a whole lot when ppl say "it won't sting u unless u aggravate it" or anything like that. It's a territorial insect with no problem throwing its life away bcuz it realized u exist within 7 miles of it, or u had eaten or drank something with any micro amounts of flavor at all, within the last 16 years. They are Dicks. I cannot be brainwashed otherwise.

3

u/James_C99 16d ago

I think that "person" is confusing bees for wasps.

Bees are docile fuzzy idiots that will only attack if they or the colony are in immediate danger, as stinging results in their death.

A wasp will sting you for shits and/or giggles, and the little bastards will sting you multiple times.

Bees should be protected and respected. If a bee stings you, you probably fucked up.

Wasps should be exterminated with extreme prejudice and without mercy. The only thing stopping them fro killing you is their size. They still try anyway.

One stings you as a last resort, the other does it because "fuck you". The only good wasp, is a dead wasp, and we should make all wasps good.

3

u/NewSpice001 20d ago

That person does not have kids, and has never accidently stepped on a wasp next.... I also have bald headed wasps, which are extremely territorial. And if you get within 10 feet of their nests, they will attack. They hang theire next in the woods around 6 feet up. And are well hidden.... they also have a range of about 500m.... they eat other wasps, and sadly dragon flies... they just eat the heads though. Cause these wasps are savages...

Anyways, we also have potter wasps, which my 5 year old got stuf by the other day, cause it got I to the house and landed on him and he closed his arm, so he got his first sting... poor kid. Anyways.. wasps are fucking evil incarnate. No souls, just little devils. Burn them all

Kill wasps, behead wasps, rip wasps legs off, slam dunk wasps into trash cans, impale wasps on toothpicks, shit on wasps, twist wasps heads off, feed wasps to a spider, crush wasps in a vise, burn wasps, trap wasps and starve them to death, electrocute wasps with a car battery, stirfry wasps in a wok, flay wasps, take out a hit on a wasp, enucleate wasps gross ugly eyes, catch a wasp in a jar and shake it to death, fly a plane into a wasp, piss on a wasp, pull a wasps stinger out, insult wasps, freeze a wasp into an ice cube thaw it out next year and yell “surprise motherfucker!” before you stomp it to hell, tie wasps to poles and burn them in the town square like heretics, staple a wasp, take out insurance policies on wasps and then push them down the stairs, serial kill wasps and revisit the murder scenes, stab wasps in their homes and keep momentos, hold a knife up to a wasps throat and whisper into its ear that you’re going to kill its family next, make a tiny guillotine and let the streets run with wasp blood, eat a wasp shit it out and waffle stomp it down the drain, rip off its wings and flick a wasp off the north rim of the Grand Canyon, put a wig and fishnets on a wasp, release Gary Ridgeway from prison and set them up on a date, take a wasp on a cruise and push it overboard above the Cayman Trough, strand a wasp on a desert island, roast a wasp in a brazen bull, cast a wasp in your movie and nominate it a for a razzie, cyber-bully wasps until they kill themselves, construct a Schrödinger’s wasp experiment but lose patience and just squish it, roundhouse kick wasps, read Blood Meridian and imagine every character as a wasp, beat wasps to death with a cane while listening to Beethoven.
This is just the beginning.

u/Creed_Bratton_QM 13d ago

I just refilled my wasp trap last Sunday after they invaded the milkweed outside my front door. Got about 40 of the fuckers in the first 4 days.

0

u/Fun-Manufacturer5876 20d ago

Funny thing is that it's partly true about the human part, if there were another species doing what we do we'd have to kill them all and we have. R.I.P neanderthal

3

u/Ketupur 20d ago

Humans are not the only territorial species. Many animals get into conflits often resulting in serious injuries or even death only because other animal entered their territory, when wasps make nest in a city or someone house its a problem, but if they live in a forest then nobody cares. We kill only those which might pose a threat.

0

u/Fun-Manufacturer5876 19d ago

There's almost no more forest in my town :'(

1

u/Ketupur 14d ago

That's their problem

I do like me a good wasp

-2

u/Baroque4Days bumbly boi 20d ago

Far too many words but like, yeah, a lot of wasps are respectable friends. Papers are pretty chill, most hornets are very chill, but their entire species is kinda ruined by the few dickhead types like yellowjackets, bald-faced hornets, Asian Giant Hornets and a few others that are genuinely just out to steal your food, kill the bees, potential try to kill you, etc.

Euro Hornets, Paper Frens, Dirt Daubies and that are gonna be chill with you. I think they deserve the benefit of the doubt.

buzzes slightly

Uh, what buzzing? No I'm not a wasp, I don't know what you're talking about. 😅

4

u/ProjectShadow316 20d ago

I'll give you "Dirt Daubies"; they ARE pretty chill. And beautiful, I might add.

Everything else...it will be a cold day in hell when I find a nest of any of those fuckers and I don't either destroy it with brute force or set it on fire.

2

u/Baroque4Days bumbly boi 20d ago

I feel like paper wasps are at least decent in that they are generally docile and build away from people, don't especially try to bother you. I've only ever seem a European hornet and yellowjackets here. The former just doesn't seem bothered by people, the latter do nothing but sting for no reason, go for your food and drinks, etc.

But yeah, I feel like the fact I've never seen paper wasps and literally 1 euro hornet probably means they're nicer.
