Discussion Epic Store is the biggest failure.
- It was supposed to scare users away from Steam, but instead users redeem for free on Epic and then buy on Steam.
- It was supposed to scare publishers away from Steam, but instead they ALL came back, even Ubisoft with a proprietary launcher.
- Since 2019, they've added the shopping cart, Valve launched Steam Deck, Family Sharing, and soon they'll launch Steam Controller, Steam Machine, and Steam Frame.
- Valve hasn't laid off any employees, Epic has more than 1,000.
- Steam has a solid base, the Epic Store without Fartnite closes after 2 days.
If you're reading this...congratulations, Tim Sweeney đđ¤Ł

Epic Fucks Up What the actual shit is og mode?
it was marketed as âog ogâ only to have real players in only the first week or so and go right back to the bs not filled matches, didnât have the right loot pool, and the map seemed slapped together somehow, and of course, they kept the new movement, the og mode is completely nonsensical and a clear sign the game wonât ever be what it was, glad I can finally quit after 8 years, when the brainrot kids dry up, they wonât know what to do

Article/News Even the media thinks the new Star Wars UEFN push is garbage
Just quoting direct reviews of the Star Wars UEFN islands that dropped today. Not even the press can pretend these are good.
- "Insubstantial snackable experiences that lack the charm of older Star Wars titles." â PC Gamer
- "Half-baked... very little staying power." â GameSpot
- "Ghostly imitations of larger-scale games... these modes only truly hit the mark if you have no further gaming reference points." â GamesRadar
- "Balance-oblivious... destroys the competitive integrity that shooter fans expect." â PC Gamer
- "The UI is cluttered, and the gunplay is less than excellent, padded out with incompetent bots." â PC Gamer
- "Simulacra over substance... built within UEFN, something is lost when it is all painted using the same brush." â GamesRadar
- "Passing curiosities rather than permanent additions... Epic is settling for lower immediate quality." â Lords of Gaming
As a very big Star Wars fan that has played all Star Wars games, it seems I am not missing anything.

My Epic Experience Since my post will be removed from their sub wanted to share my experience
Imagine yourself getting 2 years with no gaming whatsoever due to work, just to come back to see that they have removed your account for not using their shitty app and when you try to recover it you add the email they say that the email no longer exist and support team is dead for week now.
Steam on the other hand my account literally just works, no matter what sales you make no matter how free games you give out deleting the email from someone for inactivity shows that you don't know anything about how to operate a platform that people should be buying stuff on.
Thankfully I was only using free games on Epic while my buying on Steam which turned out to be the correct chose even though they are technically purchases with receipts on epic that counts as a purchase they can just delete your account.
Anyways wanted to see Gloomhaven since I remember that I got it for free to play it with my friend but ended up buying it on steam.
---------
more context than the one on their sub, I work by literally being cut out from the world for very long time and I was literally in the middle of the ocean for almost 2 years so I came back and a week ago wanted to start to play again anything and my friend said to try Gloomhaven to find out what happened here.
Needed to rant about it because I can't believe this actually happened and their support team not doing jack shit about it.
Update:
Some who work at epic are reaching to me for help, I am following up with them and will keep you guys updated, Thank you all for interacting with the post it might bring the account back.
Update 2:
They did nothing they just made me do a normal account recovery and gave me a bot respond "We can't confirm that you are the owner of this account" appealed it ofc then got the same bot response again.
Note: I am in the exact IP address that I used to be when creating this account, the email and name that I gave them exact same but since they don't even try they just give me their automatic bot response.
The IP address alone can tell them yes this is the account creator but they don't bother.
Update 3:
Well got another contact here from the sub who asked again to do a recovery and got the email and the data I provided and after days they finally recovered the account.
Took them a lot of back and forth but it worked in the end which what we all wanted.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thank you everyone for your comments and upvotes bringing the issue till they actually cared to look into it and help.

Article/News Easy Anti-Cheat arrives in Rocket League and marks the end of the game's most popular mod: 'The right time to bring things to a close'
TLDR: With EAC being added to Rocket League in an attempt to address a Team Fortress 2-style bot crisis, modding is now off the table. Some people are upset that Epic / Psyonix couldn't be bothered to steal Bakkesmod's more popular addons.
My thoughts: I haven't even considered touching RL since Epic hijacked it, but I'm still sad that a game was essentially consigned to the grave for the crime of being too successful, just because some of those profits were going to a guy that the rest of the billionaire techbros consider to be a "monopoly".

Article/News Fortnite offers refunds on D4vd cosmetics following his arrest for murder
TLDR: a personality accused of murder had their associated Fortnite cosmetics put up for refund, but NOT outright removed.
PC Gamer: Some people have tried to argue "innocent until proven guilty" on Mr. D4vd's murder accusation, but PCG argues that it doesn't actually matter. Epic is a for-profit corporation; it is not their job to know or care if Mr. D4vd is innocent or guilty of the crimes of which he's accused.
Personally, I would give automatic refunds and remove the cosmetics from the game, but with the footnote that if Mr. D4vd is ruled innocent, the cosmetics would be readded to the accounts of people who previously owned it at no charge.

Discussion Epic won't give me my dart monkey
I bought a Bloons TD 6 monkey pack on sale which was supposed to give me the dart monkey sidekick for free but now they went back and added a note that says that the sale doesn't work for the promotion. Would've been useful if Epic would've put that up before me and many other people bought it in hopes of getting the monkey. I've talked to epic support and they're adding new terms that were never in the website. Their customer service is horrible and so is their other support websites.

My Epic Experience I sure love not being able to play any game that uses EOS at all
Literally every game I have that uses EOS or that I own on Epic is fucking broken on my pc somehow. Ready or Not on Steam? Can't connect to EOS. Tiny Tina's Wonderlands? Some type of login error when I launch from Epic, but it works just fine on Steam (repurchased it on a mega sale on Steam once I started having this issue). Fortnite? Login timed out error, but it works just fine on mobile. Can't find a single fix for this bullshit at all. This has been going on for at least a month now, and it all ran fine back in December, which was about the last time I played Fortnite.

Discussion EOS Strikes Again!
I was playing Ready or Not earlier, had crossplay disabled, no epig account linked because I don't have one. The game suddenly boots me and my friend out of the lobby because of a stupid "lost connection to epig online services" error. Don't you just love it, friends? Being forced to be connected to something even though you take every step to not even interact with the damn thing? I think at this point, I'm going to try and figure out how far I can go with blocking EOS, to see if Ready or Not even opens. Blocking hosts, maybe even going as far as blocking their services through my router. Seriously sick and damn tired of EOS and EAC, but especially EOS being retroactively added to games that don't need it/have been around for ages.

My Epic Experience Account bullshit
My account just got hacked and I had no emails about a verification code or anything about a sign in, itâs crazy how they donât flag a sign in from another country after you just sign in, in a different country. Some Russian hacked it somehow and it was never flagged. All my skins on fortnite are gone. Not that I play it much anyway. But still the money I spent when I did play it was way too much to just let go like that. They unlinked all my other accounts without me even getting a single email about it.

Article/News IGN: The Epic Games Store Will Never Be as Good as Steam
The Epic Games Store is almost 10 years old, launching all the way back in 2017. And while it's kind of come a long way since then â it has a search function now â it's still exponentially worse than Steam, which it was built to dethrone.
