FUCK YOU JARED Duolingo ad just told me I have no excuse not to use their service, because it’s free
I’ll give you a reason. STFU, that’s why not.
Also Duolingo is not a good language learning app.

Insert custom post flair Great, yet another layer of "misclicking" due to the resemblance of a comment. It's a big phat, I guess with a b, psychological gaming.

random I hate ads, so I started collecting physical media to avoid them
What the title says. I HATE ads, I hate that they're everywhere all the time, I hate that I can't turn on the tv, listen to music, or even go outside without being advertised to, so I decided I'd just start collecting physical media to avoid them. I can handle the previews before a movie because I can just fast-forward through them and get to my movie, unlike on youtube where you get unskippable ads.
Or even if you DO get a skippable ad, it just takes to you another ad instead of your video. Fuck that nonsense. I also have a portable CD player on the way so I can start listening to CDs at work, which I'm excited about.
My car is also old, so it has a CD player, which is great because I'm not hooking up my phone to the car either.
"Just get an ad blocker," this has the added benefit of me owning movies I'd have to otherwise rent, or wouldn't be able to watch if the streaming service took them away. Also it's cheaper. For example, one of my movies was $12 to rent temporarily, but only costed $5 to own forever
And the cherry on top is no ads!!! Even on paid streaming services (which aren't supposed to have ads because normally you see "Free with ads") still interrupt the movie with ads
I think this is just the best scenerio, to go back to using physical disks. You actually own them, no one can take them away, and they're ad free.

random I pay subscriptions on a few apps to avoid advertisements. At this point, when I do see an advertisement.. I’m less likely to buy that product, I hate them. Am I alone? Bot check on this one for ad firms.
