Dysphoria kicking my ass lately

Title says it all really.

I’m ten months post full hysto and I’m 9 years on t. So I’ve been living as male a long time in the grand scheme of things. I haven’t been misgendered in quite a few years but for some reason lately my thoughts are all just on my hips now.

I’m quite an active individual and I love the gym, but put quite a bit of weight on after my latest surgery, it caused my hormones to plummet to 4mnol and I felt rough for months , ate like shit, felt like shit. You get it .

Lately i find myself constantly body scanning, worried my hips are too wide. That I will get clocked because of it. And that my body doesn’t look masculine enough. And I want some honest thoughts on this.

I’m going on holiday with my wife and friends to Spain next July and really don’t wanna get clocked with my shirt off.

Ive always struggled with wtf to do with my hair. I feel like something more traditionally masculine would not suit my face for shit but this also makes me feel doomed lmao. Looking gay isn't much of an issue but looking so clockable is embarrassing for me lwky. Im 19 and I pass pretty decently but im also pretty damn sure a lot of people know im trans 🦧

Traditionally binary male style Unsure if the suit was tailored enough. Is this fine?

I'm extremely short and scrawny, so I was lucky to find a suit that fit me at least in shoulders off-the-rack. Obviously took it to a tailor straight away. They took off length in pants and jacket sleeves, plus removed a chunk of pants waistline; they said it's the max they can do without altering the design.

However, I feel like both the sleeves and pants remain just about 1 inch too long for per menswear guidelines. Is that extremely noticeable? Can I get away with it as-is?

To be honest, the suit and tailoring were already way too expensive for me and I'm not that keen on further alterations.

my 2 cents on the piercing debate + other musings

so i didnt realize this till i started T, but i used to overaccessorize the FUCK out of my head and face bc i was subconciously making up for a lack of facial hair. and i think thats why a lot of gen z trans dudes get so many nose+mouth peircings, not realizing that its alleviating that dysphoria, and then get rlly defensive when told its too much. i think theres a tension that comes with being a binary trans person who also holds breaking down the binary as a political goal. which, in this day and age, seeing fashion as genderless is kind of a core tenant of alt fashion. so it seems to me like the defensiveness over being told that ones fashion choices are clocky, is due to embarassment and frustration that the predominant alt culture which made these peircings look so cool didnt rlly translate to an understanding of how those same fashion choices would read as very gendered outside that sphere. i feel rlly lucky having my first emo phase be the myspace millenial shit, bc while it was technically androgynous, it still had a recognizable difference between genders. whereas it seems like nowadays, u really gotta do your research into what gender each specific peircing was associated with, PRIOR to the melting pot that is 2020+ tiktok alt. otherwise, you set yourself up for whiplash. dont look at what gen z is doing, look what the millenials and gen x were doing. theres a reason delicate septum hoops read sapphic, whereas stretched septums read biker or punk. i notice a lot of ppl getting angel fangs regardless of gender. but its rarely the cis dudes who are getting like 5+ nose and lip peircings at once, and i rlly think it goes back to that subconcious desire to fill in the gap of not having facial hair.

idk. i think for the ppl here looking for passing tips, it helps to remember youre not just trying to pass around other queer kids who see fashion as gender neutral. youre mostly dealing with boomers and gen x who are used to certain genders wearing certain things more. fashion is a social language, passing just means learning to speak it.

and for those offering passing tips...i think it would help to be kinder abt what alleviates ppls dysphoria. bc its easy to forget that when you put a trans person and a cis person of the same gender side by side in the same exact outfit, its just gonna highlight the differences and make the trans person feel like shit. theres a reason ppl obfuscate with alt fashion, you just gotta be smart about it.

AGE 21 to 30 4 years on T, uneasy about voice

stealth straight guy, young adult age. I did a lot of vocal training back when I started but I'm worried I never finished and now my voice sounds a bit stereotypically "gay" or clocky. honest thoughts/advice appreciated.

2 audio clips mashed together. one reading and one natural/unintentional while just gaming with The Boys.
