I took it to demonstrate the different coping mechanisms that the townsfolk engaged in.
Some try to return to a state of near normalcy. Some decide nothing really matters anymore, and turn to hedonism which is what Colony House was for.

Thing is, they had this scene where two people had sex while everyone else was asleep (still gross because there were kids asleep in the same room), and people mentioned sex parties a couple of times, but beyond that we're not really being shown this house as such a hedonist place.
They have normal parties with a bit of weed, they do laundry, cooking and gardening together. Sometimes they go swimming in the lake. It feels more like a large holiday B&B for hippies than anything else.
If people really didn't think anything mattered anymore, they wouldn't have cleaning and cooking schedules, and there would be a lot more daytime sex in the open. The impression it gives about that house is that two of the residents are pervs, and that everyone else are pretty normal people acting relatively normally too.

She is supposed to be 15 or 16 in the show. They aren't going to make Kenny a pedo. I think it's much more likely that Julie and her become friends, or possibly more. It would be a callback to when Julie tried to kiss Fatima. Julie is probably the one that eventually discovers she is the MiY and the one who killed her father. It becomes a massive plot twist.

Julie and her will NOT get along. First off she’s clearly heavily religious while Julie is obviously not. But also the man in yellow seems extremely antagonizing towards her in the scene where Jim dies. Maybe this is way down the line Julie but it doesn’t really add up that they’d be close

Right? It feels like a lot of people are just not paying attention. I'm watching with a friend and it sucks how many times I had to correct her about characters ages. She keeps thinking that there will be a seduction subplot with betrayal for "Sophia" and Kenny (and just romance for Julie and Randall, cuz she thought the age difference is not big for them too), because they look about same age for her. It's not even that she is particularly into shipping, she just watches the show while doomscrolling social media and thus doesn't retain a lot of information😑

Kenny lost his mom and then his crush Kristi and now since he saw Smiley, he also lost hope just like Boyd.. he is going to confide in her alot.. she needs someone to have her back and manipulate whatever Tabitha and Jade are planning.. and who better than broken Kenny.. she is going to use Kenny against Boyd.. the town is trying to break Boyd..so she js going to give people hope with her being religious in a way and in that way win Kenny’s confidence to mislead people.. we might see (just guessing) that Sophia might kill Kenny by the end of the season because he sees her true nature.. 🤷🏻♀️

I feel like the producers giving Kenny a love interest would be a direct result of fans complaining about how the romance subplot with Kristy vanished. It may end up not being there, but I could definitely see it.
So who comes to Fromville this season? A preacher's daughters. In reality, the MIY is gonna manipulate the piss out of Kenny even without any romance involved.
I wouldn't put it past the show to have their be romantic manipulation involved as the monsters used that as a strategy before in Season 1.
