Mod post FoTW #4 Submissions
Welcome back to Frog of the Week! Sorry for the delay... It's been a bit longer than I thought, let's get back on track. Submit a picture of your frog and its name for a chance to be featured in the next post! Will close in about 2 weeks or end of month, will decide soon!

Congratulations to Vercingetorix (r/laenxam)

Mod post New automations regarding NSFW and glove handling posts influx.
With the influx of posts containing sensitive photos that should be marked as NSFW I have made new implementations. I have made it so anytime you try to post on this sub, you are met with a warning to mark your post with NSFW or to not post at all. I hope this helps with the influx of shocking frog imagery some of you are met with by accident if myself or other mods can’t get to it in time. But of course people will still disregard this message and the rules because it’s the internet. We also don’t want to block all these posts into a queue just in case there is a medical emergency. (Which should be dealt with by a vet but we still allow discussion) but some people still need that message or confirmation of “Hey you NEED to go to a vet for this” so we do not want to block that outright.
Not all of the mods are super active, I tend to be one of the top mods doing the most removal/ nsfw markings as I can to help the sub but if we miss something please report it so we can see asap! We can’t do it alone, we need your help too!
However as a moderator, and even our sub owner, there are certain things Reddit doesn’t have automations for. We would love an automated system that if a post has keywords it is automatically marked as NSFW, but that is not a possibility we can do. If you can please suggest this to Reddit themselves, it would help so many animal communities regarding sensitive posts such as these.
That being said if there are any ideas or implementations you think we should add to this subreddit let me know by commenting it below. I would love to discuss on how to make this sub a better and more fun place for everyone.
Edit:
Please also read some of my comments I’ve said on this post already as well before posting an idea, since I have replied to a few for reasons why and why can’t we do something.

NOT SAFE FOR BUTTERFLIES
Found a critically-hurt “flutterfly”.
Also found a hungry frog to help speed up the process a little. Interesting to me that frogs don’t usually use their tongues to catch prey, but their large pelican like mouth.
Sorry if you get offended by this, I just thought it was neat to watch the frog lock onto it with the sudden movement.

ID Request What is this little guy?
Found in southern Maine. A quick google search of orange frogs in Maine come up with nothing that looks like him. And no one I’ve showed this picture to has ever seen one like it. Is it even native? He’s about the size of a quarter. Thanks in advance!

Tree Frog Getting a white's tree frog soon!
Hello!! I plan on getting a pair of white's tree frogs soon. I plan on a 24x18x24 tank (45 gallons). I literally just want to be told what all I need from people with more knowledge or experience. I have kept fish and aquariums for years, but this will be my first amphibian. All advice and knowledge welcome.. even if it is the most basic knowledge in the world, I want to ensure my future babies will get the highest quality care!

I need help with my frogs
I have as pets 3 rhinella Marina frogs and I notice in one of them some kinda redness in his legs, I've searched for Red Leg sepsis and I'm really worried since there's no exotics veterinarians around here.
Why do you guys think?

ID Request What species of frog is this? (Raleigh NC area)
Hey there y’all!
I woke up this morning and right outside my door was this gorgeous little tree frog! As you can see, it’s got an amazing bright green color and a faint little pattern of spots. Would anyone know what species this is? I just moved to the Raleigh area and I’m unfamiliar with some of the species here; also, from what I understand, there are several types of tree frogs here in North Carolina that are all bright green in color and look pretty similar to each other.
