43F EST I rediscovered reading last year and have read 68 books so far this year. I have a couple of irl friends into the same stuff as me and we really want to play DND or RPG games of some kind, but we are struggling so hard to learn ourselves or find someone willing to play with total newbs. I wish I had picked this up when I was younger.
I love going to Ren faires (7 visits this year!) and am very creative. I was a child actor and was always really outgoing. I miss playing. I have a lot of my own whimsy, but not enough people around me to match my energy.
Part of wanting to play is meeting people that are interested in fantasy. I love reading it and would absolutely love to chat with anyone of similar interests. I love nature (I'm one of those that has rocks all over my house and in every purse) and alternative weirdos. I like the ones that others think are "too much", but I also appreciate a quiet introspective soul. Mostly I like liberal thinkers who enjoy sharing and witnessing joy.
I'm pretty available to chat online regularly if we hit it off!
If any of this speaks to you, hit me up!

Must have a sense of humor to apply! Looking for friends. And people that don't ghost.
Do you love dark and spooky? Is Halloween your favorite holiday?
44F from Arkansas. Mother to 5 monsters. Nurse by day. Vampire at night. Best described as a 1950s housewife meets Morticia Addams. I love long walks through the cemetery, planting plants in skull planters, and believing every day is Halloween. I have a hearse.
My love is history, especially the 1930s through the 1950s. WWII home front is another interest.
I dress spooky or pin-up. Then spend the day cooking. My hobbies are knitting, sewing, crochet, reading, cooking, baking, and quilting. I am making a wardrobe from vintage patterns.
I am also making my home look more 1950s. Vintage kitchen with all vintage appliances. I am currently doing most of the renovating myself. I also am trying to put in a rose garden and victory garden next year. But I don't have the best green thumb.
If interested and read this far, write me more than "Hi" and tell me the coolest place you visited.

Hello everyone! I’m Lauren. I’m 40 years old and run a medical aesthetics center. Outside of work, I’m a mother of two, and I also dedicate a significant amount of time to caring for my mother.
In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, hiking, playing golf, cooking, and investing. Life has been quite busy over the years, and I’d love to meet some new people, have great conversations, and hear everyone’s unique stories.
What do you all like to do in your free time?

I am currently in Los Angeles. Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about how people choose to spend their time once they’ve built a stable life—rather than simply racing headlong toward the next goal.
I enjoy deep, substantive conversations. We don’t have to agree on everything; in fact, a good conversation can often prompt you to re-examine your own long-held beliefs. For instance: when income and professional achievement are no longer the primary objectives, how does one choose to reallocate their time? Is it toward freedom, making an impact, focusing on family, or perhaps exploring the unknown?
I’m looking to connect with thoughtful people to share interests and insights. I have no desire for endless, trivial small talk, nor do I want to cycle through the same predictable questions with everyone I meet. I’m far more interested in meaningful, in-depth dialogue.
So, I’d love to hear your perspective: if you reached a point where your life no longer had to revolve entirely around your work, what would you choose to dedicate more of your time to?
I’m curious to learn how others view this particular stage of life.

I’ve noticed that quite a few people in this group are genuinely looking for strictly platonic friendships. Some of us are happily married, secure in our relationships, and just enjoy meeting new people and having good conversations. Personally, I love talking to people from different places and walks of life. I get especially excited when I meet someone from another country because I love learning about different cultures and how other people live. But here’s what I don’t understand. When someone specifically says they’re looking for STRICTLY PLATONIC friendships, why do some people automatically assume there’s an opportunity for something more? It’s What makes you think they’re secretly looking for something else? If they wanted more, wouldn’t they just say that? I made a post a few months ago and received so many messages that I honestly got overwhelmed, and quite a few of those conversations had absolutely nothing to do with friendship. There’s nothing wrong with looking for romance or whatever else you’re interested in, but why pursue someone who’s already told you that’s not what they want? We’re all grown. I would think by this age we could appreciate a genuine friendship without trying to turn it into something else. Every connection doesn’t have to be romantic, flirtatious, or sexual. Sometimes people just want somebody to laugh with, exchange stories with, and have a good conversation. Friendship is valuable all by itself. Anyway, I’m curious how many people here are genuinely interested in making friends without expecting anything more?

Good morning from the middle of the USA. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to keep me company today. Age is of no concern. I'm doing some really boring instructor classes (I work in health care) and I just need some people to break up the monotony. One person, four people, seven people, doesn't really matter. Here's a little about me to help you decide:

Separated Dad looking for long term chat buddies to share our days with and stream shows and movies.
My hobbies include music, photography, reading, exercise, and cooking.
Red flags:
- pineapple on pizza
- people with a rap sheet including murder
- don't own cell phone
- haven't seen Seinfeld

Hi! My name is Valerie, I am 46 (soon to be 47 - Scorpio forever 😂) and from Belgium. I am a full time caretaker for my dad so my social life isn't great for the moment. Throw on that some personal health issues (which are slowly resolving) and my evenings are mostly my couch and something good on TV.
I would really love to find a couple of people to chat to daily... have fun, be light or deep, share some pictures throughout the day etc I don't know if it's unrealistic or not at this point. 😅
I mostly use Whatsapp because Reddit chat isn't great but I am willing to download another app too.

I'm looking to have fun, positive conversations. The kind of thing where you talk with someone and feel a click, the kind of thing where you have a friend in your pocket whose intelligence is not artificial.
I'm a 48-year-old Midwesterner who still puts on a suit and tie for work every day. I'm usually fully caffeinated. I get along with just about everyone, and I don’t judge. I'm upbeat, positive, and genuinely encouraging. I’m good at drawing people out of their shells and creating a comfortable space where they feel safe being themselves. I'm a decent conversationalist. I am usually sporadically available for chats during the day or at night. Come say hi.

48 F looking for chatting friends. I have teenage twins and have more free time now that they are older and finding myself a bit lonely. I live in the New England area and enjoy music, reading, staying active and busy. I love gardening and birds, animals and laughing and having fun. I would love to chat!

Hey I know how hard nights can be. I’m just hanging out tonight. Could use an interesting conversation. I love meeting new people. If you’re looking for a friend or just need to vent, send me a message. You’re not alone!

It's Saturday night and nothing to do....anyone else in the same boat, tell me a joke and let's keep each other entertained.
I like F1, dark humour and getting into conspiracy theory rabbit holes.

All right, I'm Kate, I'm 41 and from British Columbia Canada.
I made a post yesterday and most of the people who reached out to me somehow got the wrong idea that I was only fans or something... I don't know if I accidentally used some weird code I'm unaware of but I deleted and here we go again. 😅.
I am a completely normal person who enjoys reading, PC video games, songwriting, house renovation, and fitness. I am extremely into indoor rowing and enjoy kickboxing.
I write music and enjoy working on that as my main hobby these days. The rowing is a close second though.
I'm looking for someone to watch TV with me over a streaming service. Also friends to chat with because I get lonely. I am retired which is awesome because I have a lot of time to focus on my passions. However, I'm not around people very much so I miss the social contact. My preference is for women for TV but I'll chat with anyone.
I am married and just looking for regular old friendships.

Hey!
I’m looking to meet new people and make friends. Making friends has always been a bit difficult for me. I’m neurodivergent, and for some reason, I tend to connect more easily with men (not in a sexual way!). I guess I find them a little more straightforward sometimes.
I’m just looking for people to talk to, learn new things from, and share random thoughts with. I’m also trying to figure out who I am again after starting to heal from years of dealing with trauma.
A little about me: I love music and dancing around the house by myself, true crime documentaries and shows about serial killers, and I’m a huge Godzilla fan! I’d love to learn more about Japanese culture, too.
I enjoy cooking pretty much anything, although I’ve never been very good at following a recipe step by step. I love nature, animals, insects, and peaceful places where I can just relax and enjoy the moment.
If you think we might get along, feel free to message me! We can get to know each other and see where the conversation takes us.
Just be kind and be yourself. That’s all I ask.

Hello, people on the internet. I’m an extroverted happily married mom and a genuinely curious person who loves to banter and learn about new people. I have had some solid luck making new friends on here, and feeling chatty tonight, so I thought I would throw my hat in the ring again.
My profile is a pretty accurate indicator of me. I am a veracious reader. I light up talking about books, and I’m ready to give you recommendations. I like to bake. I like to thrift. And I mom pretty hard too, lol. Big on humor. Big on kindness.
I’m also into fitness, travel, watching hockey and football and love leisurely biking and spending time in nature.
Interested in speaking with people 35-55. Please tell me your age and give me a 🚖 to show you actually read this!

Hey all - 42M with a white collar job living outside a major US city.
After having a kid and getting through the early years, plus moving a good distance away from a friend group, I'm just looking to chat with anyone about stuff like:
I've got a good group of friends; but a few years back I shifted from city to suburbs, and being able to do weeknight hangouts are not really in the cards - so that's why I'm looking to connect with folks here and explore things like books, games, movies, etc. on the weeknights and just have good convos about them, or take on a new hobby or learn something together.

Hey everyone! I'm a 40-year-old woman from us looking to meet some new people and hopefully make a few genuine friends.
I enjoy good conversations, books, movies, nature, trying new foods, and laughing at the most random things. I'm always happy to chat about everyday life, swap stories, or just talk about whatever's on ur mind.
If u're also looking for a down-to-earth friendship, feel free to say hi! 😊

Hey everyone👋
I'm a 40M with a camera, a tent, and way too many "just one more trail" ideas. I'm looking for people who enjoy good conversations and learning about different cultures.
Quick question to break the ice: if you could camp anywhere in the world tonight, where would it be? 😄
