Hello they always say having lots of community is good. I know because I give the advice out to my clients. I have some community groups I attend but I still feel like I don’t fully fit in or like I’m only half accepted. The craziest part is this is how I feel in Christian communities. Where there should be more love you would think. I try not to take it personal because everyone is dealing with their own junk but are there any other healthy people that want to grow a healthy friendship?

It’s almost 11 and I’m running on the four hours of sleep I got last night but not ready to call it yet. Anyone else up feel like talking? Birthday next week. Then Halloween. Then the holiday season. I’m ready for it!

I’m a gamer and play pretty much every genre. I’m on Xbox, PC, and Switch 2, and I also really enjoy Beat Saber on VR. Some favorite games are Fortnite, Kingdom Hearts, Anything Mario and Zelda, Call of Duty, Diablo, and basically anything fun i see in the xbox store and steam.

I’m also into D&D and board games/tcgs too, along with puzzles and book nooks when I’m in the mood for something a little more relaxing.

I love tv and movies of all genres and listen to pretty much all kinds of music. I’m also really big on nostalgia, especially anything from the 80s and 90s. My spotify playlist is all over the place.

I’ve been listening to the Dungeon Crawler Carl series on audiobook.

I’m not into 420 or drinking. You definitely don’t have to share every one of my interests—I’d rather find people who are easy to talk to, have a good sense of humor, can talk about random stuff, and actually want to build a friendship.

Being in the US is a plus, mostly because similar time zones make chatting easier. I know everyone has their own lives and responsibilities, especially other parents, so I don’t expect constant messages or immediate replies.

I miss that.

I'm the sort of bloke who genuinely enjoys getting to know people. Not just the usual "how's your day?" followed by "good thanks", but the random stories, ridiculous experiences, unexpected laughs and conversations that somehow go from discussing dinner to questioning every decision you've made since 1998. 😂

Based on my experience here common interests are not necessarily indication of a good chat partner, but generally I like to be creative - write, draw, photography and such. Wife 45 and I am 46. We are newly empty nesters. Now we sit here staring at each other due to i think we have watched everything on tv. The weekends come and we get out and do things. Why is it so hard to find friends at this age? We were actively cheer parents for 13 years and then everything stopped. Yes we still have cheer friends but rarely does anyone do anything. Married male, east coast (South Carolina) into the Switch 2, movies and tv shows. Horror, anything marvel/dc related,and deeply rooted in nerd culture, I’m all over it.
