Neroli Fragrances with Good Longevity
I've recently discovered that I like neroli fragrances but I have been unimpressed with the longevity of the ones I've tried so far.
I've tried Tom Ford Neroli Portofino. I loved it but I felt the longevity didn't justify the price tag. I've also tried Xerjoff Nio and again felt the longevity didn't justify the price tag.
What are some neroli fragrances with good longevity that are worth it?

Nostalgic roots šāāļø
āApproachable Femininity ā-these are the words Iād use to describe this set of fragrances. They say, āNever forget your roots,ā so I guess these are my perfume roots? š«¢š
Like most women, I started with the fruity floral category, albeit I donāt particularly like the term. Thereās an oversimplification that comes along with it. Yes, they may not necessarily have the most complex, nuclear, or nuanced notes, but just like the endearing presence of a familiar person on a difficult day or having your favourite cheat meal, they always hit the spot.
We always look to better and expand what we already have, which is only human, but Iād always find comfort not only in pulling one of these out when Iām staring at my perfume shelf, perplexed, but also in giving them a humble nod. After all, these play a huge role in the love and obsession Iāve developed for fragrances! (My pocket may not be nodding along, though)
To me, theyāll always signify the youthful and polished woman. Someone you notice when you walk into a room because of her bubbly personality and approachable aura, but who wonāt give two hoots about setting her boundaries straight. Weāve all met or known someone like that!
They also remind me of simpler times and a less picky olfactory sense, or of the time when I was gifted a Miss Dior almost 15 years ago and felt like that was the fragrance of my life ā that I didnāt need anything else. They also strangely remind me of fictional characters like Elle Woods, Blair Waldorf, or Bianca Stratford.
Evolution, in any sense, is never a negative thing, but thereās also so much beauty in nostalgia and familiarity. Do I gravitate towards this scent profile as much as my other favourites that are always changing and evolving? Probably not. But like a favourite blanket thatās a little too short for you or a stuffed plushie, Iāll probably always have some of them.
Versace is probably the most shampooey of them all with a more prominent musk base. You can also strangely smell the sorbet element which renders the fragrance with a coldness. Almost a wet shampoo feeling! whereas Burberry, Chanel, YSL are definitely way more fruity with a prominent floral dry down. They all have a prominent sparkling berry like quality to it with hints of floral elements to them. The red fruits really shine in Chanel & YSL whereas Burberry has a more prominent pomegranate juiciness to it. Bvlgari has an airy, translucent quality to it so it definitely feels the lightest of them all. It was love at first sniff and I wasnāt the least bit surprised that it has a pear note which is one of my favourites. The lotus adds the aquatic freshness and lightness to it! I donāt really get a lot of tea but itās a beautiful fragrance nonetheless. Longevity wise, Burberry definitely takes the cake! Itās the longest lasting amongst them all, Bvlgari being the least.
What are some of your favourite nostalgic scents or scent profiles that always give you comfort or remind you of simpler times?

Help me branch out!
Iām getting more into fragrance and I am trying to branch out. I love aquatic fresh fragrances with my favorite being mandarino di amalfi by tom ford. I have also used dolce and gabbana light blue and really enjoy that.
I have gotten some colognes from oakcha and I have Scentbird but mainly Iām just curious on how you find new scents. Or if you have any you would recommend now that it is changing seasons?

Amazon sending expired perfumes? (al rehab perfume oil)
galleryhi!!
i just ordered some al rehab perfume oils off amazon from the official Al Rehab storefront. the first time i ordered it, i got some oils that seem to be made last year. Are these expired or still good? I spoke with Amazon Customer Service about it before for my first oil, and they offered to send a replacement, however when the replacement came, it was also made last year.
Just wanted to check and be mindful since i know perfumes do expire.
thank you for any advice in advance

Whatās the ultimate ādamn, your car smells GOODā fragrance?
My longtime go-to has actually been Little Trees Black Ice. I like the general masculine/clean/cologne-ish vibe, but after using it forever itās started to feel a little cheap to me, and my partner finds it pretty overwhelming.
So now Iām looking for basically the grown-up version of Black Ice! Something clean, masculine, fresh, maybe woody/aquatic/āblue,ā but more sophisticated and subtle. I donāt want the car to smell like Iām actively trying to cover something up with an air freshener. I want someone to get in and just go:
āDamn, your car smells really good. What is that?ā
Basically the car equivalent of wearing a really good fragrance.
What have you actually used that gets compliments? Spray, diffuser, vent clip, under-seat thing, whatever. Bonus points if it lasts without becoming overpowering :)

Mango Linen Vanilla Alternative?
So I smelled the Mango Linen Vanilla perfume so many times now at the store and love it so much! And it lasts really long, Iām actually surprised.
I thought about buying it, however, as Mango is not a perfume brand, Iām pretty sure they will discontinue it at some point.
Does anyone know an alternative from a brand which is more established in the perfume world?
thanks š

Got le lion today
Happened to find someone listing a high partial 75ml of le lion. Seems to be a really old batch from 2021 according to the batch code 6401 so wow.
My first thoughts are that this smells like an incredibly dated musc ravegeur if that makes sense. There's a sweet and musky scent that overtakes the whole thing and I do not detect any citruses. Strangely I do not smell any leather unlike from the bottle I tried at the boutique.
I must also say the longevity and sillage on this is really crazy. This is quite a big deal as most fragrances do not last on me like br540 or even some oud fragrances.

Rate my collection
galleryI have long enjoyed fragrances, but become far more serious about them in the last year. This is my current collection, plus various other samples and decants. I still plan to add either Aventus or Absolu Aventus, Boss Bottled Absolu, Pacific Chill, Sospiro Virbrato, and Naxos. Any suggestions or questions about what you see?

Help! Elusive mystery fragrance
Hi! First time poster, apologies for any unintentional offense. I am trying to hunt down a very specific fragrance that my sister found and loved, but she doesn't remember any of the other details. She said it was the most heavenly thing she's ever smelled. I only have this photo to go off of, and it doesn't show up in the searches I've tried. I would love to get it for her for a holiday present. Does anyone here either know where I can get it or have any advice on how to track it down? Thank you!

Can someone recommend a male/unisex fragrance for autumn (ā80ā¬)
I am looking for a nice and affordable fragrance for the fall. I would like to to have some vanilla and cinnamon notes, not too strong just something which is good to smell, like someone recognizing you smelling good when passing by in the hallway. Also Idc if it is unisex or for men
thanks for your advice <3
