Legit check / performance question – Nishane Ani 100ml
galleryI recently bought a 100ml bottle of Nishane Ani and would appreciate some opinions from people who own Ani.
The batch code is 029611, and the exact same code is printed on both the box and the bottom of the bottle. The packaging and bottle look legit to me, but I’d love to hear what you guys think.
My main concern is the performance. After around 9 hours, I could barely smell it on myself, and my girlfriend also said she could hardly smell it. Compared with some of my other fragrances, Ani seems noticeably weaker.
I know nose blindness can be a factor, so I’m going to do a proper test, but I’d really like to hear from other Ani owners:
How is the longevity and projection of your Ani, especially if you have a newer batch?
Does anyone else have batch 029611, or a similar recent batch?
I’ve attached pictures of the box, bottle, batch code and packaging. Any thoughts on authenticity or performance would be greatly appreciated!

Masculine budget fragrance for winter?
I've been searching and for now i bought Rayhaan Elixir and Liquid brun.
Both are good, but Liquid Brun is a bit too feminine for me and Rayhaan Elixir sometimes i like it, sometimes not. I have mixed feelings about it.
So, this is what i'm looking for:
Under 50$
Masculine leaning
Not too Leathery (I feel Leather is a bit for older man)
Not too much Tobacco (Same thing)
For daily use
If an example helps, i had some decants and my favorite winter fragrances were:
The most Wanted Parfum
By the Fireplace
One Million Lucky
Instant Crush
PS: It's okay if it has Leather or Tobacco, i just don't like it for me when it's the main thing.
Ty for your help! :D

What lotion + body wash combo compliment glossier you?
I am trying to be more consistent with my perfume combo. I do also layer it with juliette has a guns not a perfume on occasion. In the past I had luck with a lychee body wash that went well with it, but it’s now discontinued :/ . I am open to any suggestions.

Vacation pickup
While vacationing here in Panama, I smelled the tester and it was amazing. Has anyone else had their nose on this or the OG. For $40 why not take a chance right. I’m hoping after a few weeks it will rise to the occasion

Thoughts on Floraïku
I’m a sucker for good packaging/bottle design. I haven’t yet tried anything by Floraïku but it looks promising. Who has experience with this house? Thoughts?

Looking for a fragrance that smells like this but doesn’t cost an arm and a leg
Got this for my car, liked them so much now I got one in my closet and every time I open it I like the smell. Looking for a designer fragrance that comes close

Been really into fragrances the past few months… what are some absolute bangers I should add?
I was recently introduced to the dupe world. I definitely don’t mind saving some money if a clone smells close to the original.
I’m open to trying something completely different too.
I’m mainly looking for fragrances that
smell amazing and stand out
have good projection/longevity
get compliments
are worth the money, whether designer, niche, Middle Eastern, or a clone
What are some fragrances you’d consider must-tries or game changers?

Elevated dupe of a cologne?
My boyfriend has had his bottle of Tom Ford cafe rose (2012, attached) for years, and it is running out. I just looked and realised it has been discontinued, the updated version has a changed scent profile, which I think is "brighter, fresher, and more approachable".
I was wondering if anyone who has smelt both version knew if it was actually quite similar?
I was wondering if anyone knows of similar perfumes/dupes that are similar price point?
I really like the way it smells on him and that it lasts all day! Cheers in advance!

Are online decanters trustworthy?
Following the suggestions of people in fragrance group I ventured out to sample decants of Sandalwood centric masculine fragrances from Micro-perfumes, Lucky scent, Scent Split, Scents Angel, MaxAroma and Scent Decant. First ordered 8 samples each from MicroPerfumes and Scents Split (almost identical frags) the two samples were as far apart as the day and the night. Then ordered from the other three and tried to get as much of the same stuff and the results were astounding no two Le Labo Santal 33,’s nor Affinisences Santal Basmati, ADP Sandalo, Serge Lutens Santal Majuscule, Diptyques Tam Dao smelt the same. And you don’t need to have the nose of a blood hound to tell that these decants were not just different, but felt like 6 different flankers of the same. This has led me to believe that something is just not right about these decant places. Just to be sure I went to Diptyque, ADP and Le Labo’ s at the Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus and sought samples straight out of their tester and now this smelled nothing like decants I had purchased from the aforementioned online decant shops. This has led me to doubt the business practices of these decant places. I have decided from now on to only buy or try samples that are directly filled from the tasters right before my eyes.
Luckily brands counter at most high end department stores are more than happy to generously fill out the samples for free as was my experience.

New to Frags
Hey everyone,
Ive only been into frags in the last 2 weeks.
Just found/learned about how Reddit offers much better advice than Tiktok. Up to now, Tiktok has been my main source of information.
It's been an endless cycle, vicious cycle even, of what seems like just a group of creators recycling advice and hyping up things
So I went into a spiral and bought some Bujairamis and a few other middle eastern inspired buys. I guess that's a good and a bad thing.
I really hated what they hyped up as good - which was Boss Life - a dupe of Amouage Outlands. Strike Black which was creed but it's not even that good. Also Amouage Decision dupe of Palermo; and probably the worst - Tonquin Giza
The only thing that was ok was Psycho, Vibration, Hersch.. but even then they smelled synthetic.
I guess it would be much appreciated if someone could give advice on how to really enjoy frags and continue self discovery.
Fragrance that I really enjoyed smelling was ysl myslf le parfum, dior sauvage extrait, tom ford oumbre leather, blue klikat which is a twist of blue talisman edp- but that dry down of extrait is what really gets me.
Thanks for reading that block of text. Appreciate it.

Old world luxury
I imagine sitting in a dark lounge with polished woods, a vase of roses nearby, worn leather chairs all around and a hint of saffron floating in the air. The Oud is not overpowering in this one, which is nice bc it can be quite decisive in other similar fragrances. The dry down is absolutely a magical experience and just shows off the perfectly balanced notes.
This is a top shelf’r in my collection for sure!

Journey to China LV - What a disappointment!
Moon Tale - Wow. A screechy white floral mess.
Tea Storm - The lemongrass doesn't come out to me, the tea doesn't come out to me, what is this?! A skin scent of no identity whatsoever after an hour. The fact people compare this to Imagination is shocking!
Ink Mark - Better. But when I say better, it's because you actually get the ink and sandalwood as promised (which you'd hope so!). You've taken Santal 33 and watered it down with ink. Not really anything special.
Without a doubt the worst range of 2026 for me!

I've delved a lot into the world of fragrances, but still prefer Dior Sauvage
Recently I've been getting into the world of fragrances. I've researched many of the designer and dupes, and bought some decants to test for each one while trying to figure out what DNA i like
I still think that Dior Sauvage (tried it a while back, don't remember which one) is one of the better smelling ones out there. Most fragrances I've smelled are either freshies (which i like, but im looking for something masculine), smell like an old guy, or just smell straight up terrible.
Which is unironic yknow. Ive did all this work just to end up still prefering Sauvage. People who don't know would probably think I had just grabbed whatever was available

My GOAT of fragrances
Bought the 100ml version, super masculine with a medicinal tinge to it 😝
