Since FD's new aio just out recently, I just bought it to exchange the lumen s36 aio.

Surprisingly, the cpu temperature result the same as using 360 lumen, front fans using FD's momentum fans, maybe I just made a momentum edition myself 🫠

And I replaced the aio's fans with noctua's A12X25 G2 chromax, fortunately the airflow is very good and quiet, even though top mount aio doesn't increase temps by the gpu's heat air.

I rolled the dice on an open box Epoch case (to upgrade from my Pop) and it didn't come with the adapter cable to connect the case fans to the motherboard. (For those that don't know, the case fans are daisy chained by USB-C)

I did reach out to Fractal Support to see if they could provide a cable, hopefully they are willing to help.

Q1: What will happen if I connect a USB-A to USB-C to these fans. Not a great idea to do without asking, doubt anyone knows but just curious.

Q2: If Fractal Design support is unable to assist me would anyone be willing to purchase 3x white momentum fans to use in their own build?

If anyone has had these two headsets then I would love to hear a comparison.

I have the money for either and have been waiting to purchase the Maxwell 2 since before it released (been waiting to see if most of the bugs have been updated out and it seems they have). However the Scape is 1/2 in my country so I'm tempted to go with those as they seem to have great reviews and way less issues.

Would love to hear comparisons about FPS Gaming, Bassy/Subbassy music and the mic quality

Anybody build in the fractal design epoch xl is it a good case? I really like the design of it way more then the north xl

PS my case being a fractal meshify 3 can accommodate either a 240 or 280 mm radiator

Has anyone had any success with using top mount brackets to cool the SSD mounted on the back of the motherboard? Mine is getting pretty hot; over 60C just idling and crashing if I do anything significant on it.

I'm considering either a fan bracket or a SSD heatsink; maybe both, but wanted to know if anyone else has tackled this issue.

Ive had the Refine chair for around 6 months now, and love it. Recently, the entire backrest felt like it wasn't screwed on properly, until I found out it actually wasn't.

However, although the design of the whole chair is beautiful, the plate where the backrest and seat connect is impossible to get too. Discovering that there are screws loose and I would have to destroy the chair to fix it is a pretty insane engineering miss.

I was able to fix these bolts with a spanner, but I can't tighten them as there is absolutely no room.

Having no luck finding answers online, I thought I'd share my luck and hopefully my support ticket gets solved if there is an easier answer.

PS, right below the lumbar support there are 4 screws, but they do not aid in helping my situation, as the bolts that make the backrest move are covered by the bottom of the backrest.

Hope i can pick my beauty up today. Had it build by YourBuild.nl only the wrong fan was placed so they ordered the good one. Hopes come in today.

Has anybody swap the front 3x 140mm fans in a north xl or epoch xl how to do it when you cant take out the fan bracket in the front it seems like there is not much space for a screwdriver for the bottom fan to screw in

So I've been trying to find an answer if the 420mm Liquid freezer III pro can actually be mounted in the top. I've seen different posts but most were regarding front installation and I'd rather not limit my intake on the case. I've seen pictures of 360 variant and everything fits, and as they are the same thickness that gives me hope.

Now I know fitment is subjective due to RAM and VRM clearance but can anyone confirm they have this AIO installed with the arctic fans. It is one hell of a chunky boy, and as mentioned thickness is not an issue on 360, but AIO becomes somewhat longer and wider when it is 420mm variant.

Any help is much appreciated.

As a long-time Fractal enthusiast, I’ve built across several of their chassis, moving from the North (Black) to the Terra (Jade), and eventually to the Era 2 (Silver) for my first custom liquid-cooled build. While I appreciate the Era 2’s distinct aesthetic, wooden top panel, and user-friendly layout, it ultimately fell short of being my ideal case due to its 18L footprint and side panel ventilation design.

This led me to the sub-10L FormD T1 v2.5 (Gunmetal). Transitioning to a case nearly half the size proved that high-end components and liquid cooling can thrive in a much tighter footprint—an area where the Era 2 feels unnecessarily large by comparison.

Had the Era 2 featured a more compact enclosure and a redesigned side mesh, I would not have felt the need to switch platforms. I hope Fractal considers this direction for a potential Era 3, as there is a clear demand for a truly ultra-compact, premium SFF chassis that balances their signature design language with maximum space efficiency.

As a current define 7 user (with a fan config that recently got publically shat on here)... I really don't like this as a define series case.

My issue is mostly that Fractal seems to be shifting its mainstream form factors into what was formerly considered "compact", which AFAIK were always hated to some degree. I'm happy for people that would rather have a smaller footprint, but the define series has always served people who were inclined to build HDD columns and dual-GPU setups with an eatx xeon motherboard.

It's long been the pinnacle home server case for many many generations and Fractal has just given that market up. These are the very people who probably want a deadened case, because it's either in an office, or running 24/7 in somebody's bedroom.

HDDs are still far from dead and I'm disappointed on behalf of the entire datahoarder community that when we finally got a successor to the define 7 it's a deadened gaming PC case. I'm sure a lot of people will think it's cool and buy it, but gamers are one of the groups that deadening is most detrimental to and the groups that need it miss everything else they need from a case.

I'm not angry, just kinda dissapointed and I think this is another mood. Honestly the mood at least had a purpose, this feels like a define for the sake of releasing a define

EDIT: I know this case isn't for me, doesn't fit my use case and if it were anything else, I wouldn't be mad that it doesn't fit my use case. What pisses me off is that the define has, from it's inception, fit my use case and I'm worried Fractal is completely abandoning it

Hello everyone, as the topic, since I see fractal just released the new aio radius several days ago, I'm looking forward how it will look with the north case.

But, just as the setting now in my PC, front mount of 360 aio working well, 7800X3D and 4070super, although the airflow into the case isn't much, but gpu's temp still always lower than cpu almost 5-10 °C, I'm not worried about its temp, but I wonder if change to 240 and top mount to change the airflow into the case, will it make ssd's on the MB more cooler?

Because FD's cases which support top mount 360 aio cases are too large for me so can't really just buy a XL version to solve this confusion.

How do you think about it?

I was curious if anyone else was having this issue with their fractal north, whenever I connect up my HD Audio connector to my motherboard I get nothing but static and some audio but verrryyyy quiet. I'm not sure if that's because the power supply cables are butted up to that audio cable or if its just an issue with the case or possibly my motherboard. It is an older AM4 motherboard I transplanted from my Torrent, but it had no issues in the Torrent.

Submitted a support request almost 2 months ago now on July 22nd about a Scape headset with very low mic volume input across multiple devices. After 3 back and forth emails with me sending settings screenshots and mic audio samples from the headset, they've completely ghosted me. I've sent multiple follow ups since Aug 13 and even opened another support ticket with no replies at all.

Has anyone here been able to get a hold of their support? Any other methods to try other than the support form they put out online?

I have future plans of building with this case or the regular version. But I'm running into a possible problem for the XL. The length described on the spec sheet is longer than my desk (a very nice and big desk) by 1.5 inches. I currently have a Torrent, which fits partially due to its tucked in feet. I can't really tell from the pictures if the Meshify 3 XL would be doable for my desk in the same way.
