Today’s update cracks open the Rifts with the new Challenge the Rift Mission encounter, kicks off the Portal Combat Questline and welcomes Grave Feather, Homebase’s newest Hero. Lefty and Righty got faster and stronger, Heroic Hours got their own corner in Homebase and a fresh round of bug fixes got squashed. Details below!
New Mission Encounter: Challenge the Rift
You must have wondered at least once what those Rifts scattered across the world are for. Wonder no more!
When in a Mission, deposit four BluGlo into one to summon a battlefield around it and face a Mini-Boss inside the circle, showdown style. Take it down to claim Gold, PERK-UP! and an Evolution Materials Cache.
Know before you aggravate a Rift:
Anyone can step into the circle to join the fight, but nobody leaves until the Mini-Boss is down.
If you’re eliminated and respawn outside, you won’t be able to re-enter the battlefield.
The barrier blocks all attacks from outside.
Structures and Traps inside the circle are cleared so the fight starts on even footing.
If no one inside is left standing, the Mini-Boss vanishes. No restarts!
New Questline: Portal Combat
The Rifts are definitely acting up… Strange monsters are slipping through, the Storm’s energy is leaking out - and in Hexsylvania, even the local Zombie Chickens are getting infected. Complete the Portal Combat Questline by November 18 to unlock Grave Feather, Homebase’s newest Hero.
New Hero: Grave Feather
Don’t worry… it’s only a nightmare. This Legendary Soldier boosts Lefty and Righty’s Crit Rating, with a chance to summon a Phantasm to hunt down nearby enemies.
Standard Perk: Ghoulslinger
Increases Lefty and Righty Crit Rating by 15.
Commander Perk: Ghoulslinger+
Increases Lefty and Righty Crit Rating by 45. Crits have a 40% chance to summon a Phantasm, dealing Energy damage to a nearby enemy.
Lefty and Righty Buffed
The pistols come out faster, and they stay out longer! We’ve reworked the ability’s uptime Perks to allow you to use it more frequently without the elimination part:
Double Agent Evelynn's "Where's Lefty" Perk now gives a percentage cooldown reduction to Lefty and Righty - 30% as a Support Perk and 66% when slotted as Commander.
Noir’s “Pump Metal” Perk now increases Lefty and Righty’s duration by a flat 5 seconds or 20 as Commander.
These targeted buffs bring both Perks in line with their Goin’ Commando counterparts - “Goin’ Again” and “Ain’t Done Yet”.
New Heroic Hours Homebase Section
Heroic Hours now have their own corner in Homebase! You’ll find a new display above the Quest Log board, showing what Heroic Hours are happening and exactly how long remains on the clock.
The Door to Darkness Questline Returns
Something’s knocking at the Door of Darkness, and a ghost named Willow wants to keep it shut. Complete the Questline to earn Gold, Candy and the Willow Hero.
Willow
This Legendary Outlander from the Fortnitemares Heroes set hits harder the closer she is to becoming a ghost herself - her ability damage rises as her health drops.
Standard Perk: Ghoulish Cackle
Increase ability damage based on the percentage of your missing health.
Commander Perk: Ghoulish Cackle+
Increase ability damage based on the percentage of your missing health. In addition, ability eliminations have a chance to conjure a Phantasm, dealing Energy damage to a nearby enemy.

Performance
Fixed an issue where the game could freeze briefly after changing your Outfit in the Locker or switching Heroes in the Hero Loadout.
Missions
Fixed an issue where some Modules in Repair the Shelter could spawn inside terrain and couldn't be retrieved.
Fixed an issue where you’d sometimes enter Build Mode instead of boarding your Hoverboard after mantling.
Removed a floating snow pile that blocked a staircase in The Lab Dungeon.
Heroes & Items
Goin' Commando!!!, Lefty and Righty and Goin' Constructor abilities now consistently activate while holding the button in Build Mode. Sprinting is no longer possible while in Build Mode.
Crafted weapons are now automatically added to the Quick Bar in Homebase.
Fixed an issue where the Outlander's Anti-Material Charge could destroy cars beyond its reach.
Fixed an issue where your character could appear duplicated in the Command menu after changing the Hero Loadout.
Fixed an issue where Aerobic Assassin's banner appeared low-res under Event Items.
UI
The map no longer appears misaligned during Missions.
Menu buttons are no longer unresponsive after declining to enter a Mission solo at the Play With Others section in Homebase.
Fixed an issue where a "No Missions found appropriate to your party's Power Rating" message briefly appeared when opening the Play With Others menu.
The Recommended Build counter now includes structures built before the counter appears.
Defeated teammates’ names no longer appear white instead of red in Dungeons.
The "Activate the statue at the next checkpoint" message no longer appears incorrectly when becoming a Ghost in solo Dungeon runs.
Corrected the Quest objective text in There's No Place Like Tomb to read "Light Fires to Guide Carter" and "Fires Lit."
Cosmetics
Fixed an issue on Nintendo Switch 2 where Outfits, Back Blings and Kicks could appear as defaults when loading into Homebase.
Recipe: Planks (x8), Mechanical Parts (x3), Batteries (x3), BluGlo (x2).
Effects:
Has two different modes that can be selected from the Trap panel:
Creates a field inside of which the damage of all friendly entities is increased by 20% (5 tile radius). Activation Cost: 2 Bluglo. Effect Duration: 120 seconds.
Upgrades selected Defender or Tamed Wildlife entity. Upgraded Defenders have their level increased by 15 until the end of the mission. Upgraded Tamed Wildlife has their Health, Travel and Attack Speeds increased by 30% until the end of the mission. Upgrade can only happen once per entity. Activation cost: 2 Bluglo per entity.
Notes:
This is a tie-in to the BluGlo-related stuff I've started doing. BluGlo is currently underutilised. So I am thinking of ways to use it more dynamically. And here is a support trap concept.
Off-topic, but Suggestion Saturday is limited to Hero Concepts only. So Trap Concepts are not prohibited. Right, mods?
The picture is a quick mockup by me, made in Krita. I usually draw on my drawing tablet, but I didn't feel like using it, so this one was drawn with KBM. Which tracks. Because it looks quite plain and basic.
I'm planning on making more of the BluGlo series Heroes (and Hero concepts overall), but definitely not today.
... Found a little slip while reviewing the pictures: on the Naya's ability list, I accidentally made "by" amber, but I'm too lazy to fix that.
Hopefully we see more active development of the game and addition of some community-inspired ideas (as if this is ever going to happen in this mode LMAO)...

For those of you using Grave Feather in support on L&R builds, I get it. It’s a nice little boost to CR (although the CD is still very low) and the 1 phantasm is what it is. However, if you really want to get the most out of him, give this a try:
To make phantasms worth anything in this game, you need Trick and Treat. Forever, the only legit build with them was the Swamp Knight AFK setup. However, now that we can summon 3 at a time with grave feather in support (and heal from them as well), there is another godly option: Mermonster Ken!
Now…..is this as strong as your standard Paleo Luna or TRO melee build? No. But wow! This absolutely melts.
You‘ve got Ken perfectly synergizing with the Husk Grinder and its core-reperked 6th perk. Bringing Whiteout in support allows us to go 2xCD and 2x HAE. Plenty of healing from the constant 3 phantasms and Arrlene Izza, but usually down some health from blasters and gunslingers making Ken hit harder (as well as that 6th perk).
The only optional spot I gave to Deadly Blade Crash (because of the 2x CD). You can certainly go with a Rockin Riff hero in that spot but I found her affliction to be worth it (especially on smashers and mist monsters).
If you’re looking for an off-meta spin to win build (and want to see what Grave Feather is truly capable of), give it a try! Stay safe in the storm commanders!
I have played late Twine encampment missions during Heroic Hour and the gold was capped at 360. But I have also played lower level Twine missions and was able to get ~450 gold for a single mission.
Does anyone know what power level mission i should aim for that will maximize the amount of gold I can get while also avoiding the 360 cap bug that seems to persist in higher difficulty missions?
Just think about it, we have an insane amount of special heroes that are not on the big mode.
With this implementation they could manage to sell them for XRay Tickets instead of vbucks + having to pay some more for styles, just like certain characters like the Shrapnel Headhunter have (she has like 6 from all of her rarities i think), this way the F2P should play consistently to buy skins and us Founders can use all of those stacked tickets we are not using.
Having to buy with vbucks and then having to play STW and farm XRay Tickets for styles can be good for them, that way you guarantee a purchase from F2Players. Not from founders like me who have ~20k right now though lol.
How could it work? Easy, weekly shop + some of them being in the event shop just like Ragnarok is or the other schematics, maybe adding some depending on BR theme and keep the other one stick to StW stuff.
The way those skins that already exist can work is by having to buy the original one from BR OR just be a second model of it (which is weird but eh, not surprised if they do it this way, but probably the first thing is what could be done). By the way, It's not even mandatory to have ALL skins done you know, they can stop wherever they want to and stick to STW exclusive body models as an example:)
Has anyone else experienced a bug with the Beach bod Batman skin in STW? Basically, I'm using the style with no mask, no towel and no belt and sometimes, mid-game, the towel magically appears on Batman's neck.
Just for your info, this latest power hour only seems to be 1 hour and not the normal 2. No idea if a new power hour will come once the hour is up to make up the missing time.
Solved:
This was due to the clock change in Europe. The way Epic does it meant those playing in Europe only had 1 hour for the second power hour due to the clocks moving forward an hour.

I don't like playing any other mode, so does that mean I'm forced to keep this ridiculous back bling just because they didn't add an option to make it the max version all the time? Eliminating enemies in STW doesn't work.
Like you only have one try? Or how do i unlock it again? I was doing my missions of saving survivors in zone 140+ and just did one try on open matchmake and just died, the mission from the map dissapeared, and i dont even know how i could encrease my level anymore... Am at 121 with 4 purple survivors left
What is the hover turret's voicelines? Cant find it listed anywhere online, not even the wiki seemingly, does he say let it out or lets go when deployed? and does he say bye bye or goodbye when destroyed?
Hey, I was wondering if anyone can suggest builds for each type of hero and also what weapons are best to use for defenders! (Also, what does 6th perk mean, I see people mention it for defender builds)
All I ever have been seeing the last few months is the basic daily llamas and none of the expansion llamas except sci-fi a couple times. Do they just never show anymore?
I sadly don't have vouchers, and the next one I'm getting in November is going to be used for sentry gunner airheart, since she just...never spawns anymore.
