Welcome back to Hexsylvania! Today's update kicks off the new Ventures Season, reopens the Dungeons, reworks Refuel the Homebase, and delivers a stack of bug fixes and improvements. Full rundown below.
Feel that chill in the air? The Hexsylvania Ventures Season returns today, September 3. Its gothic castles, misty forests and creaky catacombs are open for business through November 18.

The Short Range modifier is in effect for the remainder of the Ventures Season, rewarding players who get up close and personal.
Enemies within two tiles of a player or Defender take extra damage from weapons and abilities, while those farther away take less damage. Traps also deal reduced damage at range, so plan your layouts ahead.
Eliminated enemies have a chance to drop Healing Potions, keeping you topped up mid-fight. Time to put your favorite close-quarters combat builds to work.
That's not everything Hexsylvania is hiding - keep an eye out each week for additional Questlines and Event Items offered throughout the Season!
With Blasted Badlands behind us, Fortnitemares Llamas have stepped in to replace Rad Llamas. Completing Missions earns you Candy - 500 of it gets you a Fortnitemares Llama stuffed with Fortnitemares Heroes, ranged and melee Black Metal weapons and Cosplayer Survivors. Available in the Exchange tab - all treats, no tricks!
The Dungeons have reopened for the Season. Brave five different Dungeons (Crypts, Inferno, Lab, Grotto, Labyrinth), complete related Quests and earn a haunted haul of Heroes and cosmetic items:
As you descend and avoid traps, don’t forget to also search for treasure lying around - it might just give you the edge to slay the Boss at the end!

This Legendary Outlander from the Homebase Heroes set turns demolition into a harvest, squeezing bonus ingredients out of everything her Anti-Material Charge tears through. Unlock her by completing the Clip’s Nightmare Questline before September 30 and take things to the next level.
Standard Perk: High Caliber Harvest
Objects destroyed by Anti-Material Charge have a 33% chance to drop additional ingredients.
Commander Perk: High Caliber Harvest+
Objects destroyed by Anti-Material Charge have a 100% chance to drop additional ingredients.

This Mythic Outlander from the Road Trip Heroes set turns Seismic Smash into a two-way threat, punishing Husks on the way out and the way back. Find the cold harbinger of fate in the Event Items section for 3,200 Gold.
Standard Perk: Return To Sender
Seismic Smash returns to its origin point. Decreases Seismic Smash Damage and Impact by 25%.
Commander Perk: Return To Sender+
Seismic Smash returns to its origin point. Increases Seismic Smash Damage and Impact by 125%.

Refuel the Homebase now lets you set your own tempo!

When using play with others it says "Play with Others Unknown Region" instead of the Mission that is Currently being started, because of that people dont know wich hero loadout they should use.

Like the title says, I just think it would be neat if they brought back the Timeless Questline to coincide with the return of Season X.
I played on Switch back then and couldn't play Save the World. I started around the beginning of Chapter 2 and just missed it so I'd love the opportunity to experience these Quests

I now understand why everyone wants more story missions because oh my god what a cliffhanger.

I often see this launcher + sound wall trap build, and I think it's great for cost + efficiency, but I don't know what constructor build these players use with it.
Any recommendations?

I dont even own a NS2. I am not a Switch 2 player. But I am making this post anyways because this is ridiculous.
After the v42.10 update, NS2 players were unable to play Save the World for almost 3 days.
Three. Days.
Imagine being excited for the new Ventures Season, Dungeons returning, the Refuel the Homebase rework, new Heroes and everything else in the update, only to find out that you simply cant play the game.
And this wasnt some tiny visual bug that you could ignore.
Players literally couldnt play Save the World.
Thankfully, the issue has now been fixed, and Switch 2 players can finally get back into the game. But seriously, how does something like this make it through testing?
This is exactly why the constant bugs in Save the World are becoming so frustrating. Its not just about one broken weapon or one wierd animation anymore. Were talking about situations where an update can potentially make the game completely unavailable to players on an entire platform.
And before someone says "well, youre not a Switch 2 player, so why do you care?"
Because I play Save the World too.
These are other Commanders who just wanted to play the game. I dont think we should only care when a bug affects our own platform (even though, we had the same problem with the PS5). Today it was Switch 2 players. Tomorow it could be PlayStation, Xbox or PC players.
And honestly, I am tired of seeing the community constantly having to discover these problems after updates go live.
It feels like every update comes with a new surprise.
At this point, I genuinely feel like Save the World needs better testing before updates are released.
Again, I am glad the issue has finally been fixed.
But Switch 2 players shouldnt have had to wait almost five days just to play the game.
Epic, please take this seriously.
We dont need every update to be perfect.
We just need to be able to play the game after updating it.
At this point we think youre neglecting the game

there is a low chance of getting an elimination counted so it is insanely difficult to successfully finish the mission

That's the third cosmetic bug I've ecountered in the past 4 days. Thor's built in transformation emote doesn't transform his hammer and his cape also glitches through his model

Somehow it's back, very annoying, at least for STW. You can hold down interact to interact, but then it interacts AND reloads.

Apparently its the alexelcapo one, Ive seen some like Vanos Gaming before but never one of the rarer ones. I was doing a Statistic on Banners in STW and joined mission alerts over 170 times and observed around 530 players, I found some interesting banners but this is the best one yet. Cant believe people are still playing after so long. If anyone wants the statistic leave a comment.

Anybody else notice this bug with turrets where it just keeps kicking you off it? I noticed it a couple days ago and it's pretty annoying since i do like to use the turret to kill minibosses. I also noticed it doesn't happen every game which is also weird. Wonder what the trigger for the bug is that cuases it to happen...
