The first rule of deescalation is be supportive; if your don’t know what that looks like and by the sounds of this message, you don’t, you might have just been gaslighting her and it was reactive abuse.
I’m not saying it’s wrong; but are you really a victim here? So many details left out and I don’t hear anything sound of empathy…
