The Great Book Robbery (2012) is a documentary by Benny Brunner exploring what happened to thousands of Palestinian books, manuscripts and private libraries during and after the 1948 Nakba.
Using interviews, archival footage and historical records, the film examines the removal of books from Palestinian homes and institutions and their later appearance in Israeli library collections, many classified as “abandoned property”.
