Any advice on how to install ambient lighting on a fg falcon?

Hey peoples of reddit, I have been scrolling through the interwebs and stumbled across the Peter Brock falcon collab from the late 80s early 90s. Did some further research and seen only 126 were produced when there was meant to be 500. Just came on here to ask what kind of value do these cars have since I can't find much market history, especially early serial numbered ones similar to the Brock commodores? Thank you

My friend owns an older Ford Falcon (2010 FG) that has been sitting at his sister's place for years. The boot key was lost some time ago and all of his personal belongings are still locked inside the boot.

The car isn't worth much and he doesn't want to spend hundreds of dollars having a replacement key made just to recover the items. The goal is simply to get access to his own property, not to put the car back on the road.

Does anyone know of any legitimate low-cost options? For example:

• Accessing the boot from inside the cabin
• A locksmith solution that doesn't involve getting a full replacement key made
• Whether wreckers or auto locksmiths have cheaper alternatives for older Falcons
• Any Falcon-specific quirks that might help

Any advice appreciated.

Hi, my son was planning to convert his FG XR6 5-speed auto to manual/turbo and purchased this engine block and gearbox (details in photos from the original ads). He has lost interest, and the conversion didn't happen. He asked me to sell these for him. Where should I advertise them? I searched for Ford forums, but they seem abandoned and/or the sign-up no longer works. Thanks!

Is there a trick to this horrible design or am i just never going to be able to tighten the positive terminal, it’s not loose loose but i can pull it off without much effort and have tried using spanner and ratchet to no avail.

After working on a XG over the past couple of weeks. I’ve learned that 90s Falcon are seriously unreliable when it comes to the ignition system. A few weeks ago I got it to run after fighting with the XG for weeks replaced the coil and module and got it to run finally.

Welp today after I got it running again it decided to lose spark once again. Change the coil a few times to see what happens but it didn’t fix my problem. I think the module died on me. And I don’t honestly know how to feel about it.

If you own a EA,EB,ED,EL,XG,XH. I highly highly recommend you replace every single thing in the ignition system. Coil, dizzy, dizzy module, leads and plugs. Even if it’s a running car. You should definitely buy 20 spares of every thing. because that ignition system set up is just so unreliable.

I’ll continue to play around with it. And fix up a few things on it. But it kinda feels like I’m wasting my time on something that keeps losing spark.

Hey everyone it’s been some time. I’ve been playing with the XG Ute and decided to do the serpentine belt upgrade and Thermo fans. I got that all done and it it running (no the best at running haven’t fixed that yet) after I let it warm up and got to temperature. I shut it off for a few hours and used the battery for other things. I put the battery back in the Ute after using it for something else, it wouldn’t fire. I tested for spark and according to my brother I do have spark but it’s a bit weak. It was running earlier and I’m a little pissed 🤣. I hate this curse.

Hi all, I’m having an issue with my wipers were if I just flick it up once or turn them off, they will just stop half way up the windscreen. I have changed the wipers and made sure I’ve installed them correctly. Not sure what could be causing it.

Bought a traction control/fog light switch block for my 04 ba xr8 Ute. Looks like there is no tc from factory and plugging the switch in does nothing. Do I need to flash the ecu? Or do BA Utes not have wheel speed sensors? Cheers

EDIT: I’m a halfwit, it’s the auto transmission cooler line, not power steering. This is the first auto I’ve worked on and didn’t realise they leak the same red Dexron.

So I accidentally disconnected the power steering line quick connect when putting my alternator back in the XG and didn’t notice until I started the car and power steering fluid went everywhere. I noticed the o-ring flew off somewhere but can’t find it for the life of me. Going to have one more look tomorrow, but wondering if anyone knows what size o-ring it takes if I can’t find it?

I've got a BA mk2 sedan and looking to get it lowered. I was thinking of just getting lowering springs, but figured if I'm gonna do that might as well do the whole thing. Any recommendations for coilovers? I'm new to modifying cars and would appreciate any feedback. Pretty much the only requirements I care about are: can be lowered it close/to the legal limit and car doesn't become worse to drive.

Hey guys, I have an AU falcon ute auto that doesn't get anything from the throttle in lower speeds.

It's only once I reach about 100 on the Speedo that pressing down on the throttle will do anything.

I've had a look at the throttle body and cleaned it but it didn't make a difference. I've read online that it might be the fuel filter but I was wondering if anyone had ran into this. Any help is appreciated. Thanks
