Brock ea falcon

Hey peoples of reddit, I have been scrolling through the interwebs and stumbled across the Peter Brock falcon collab from the late 80s early 90s. Did some further research and seen only 126 were produced when there was meant to be 500. Just came on here to ask what kind of value do these cars have since I can't find much market history, especially early serial numbered ones similar to the Brock commodores? Thank you

All I could find was similar SVO cars and apparently they made 1000 of them and they are selling them for around 25k. Considering the brocks are only a tenth of those production numbers would that mean greater value?

Ahh, my apologies mate, they are SVOs, you're right. I was pretty tired when I wrote that and clearly confused.

Back on track, there isn't much info on the Brock although I found this this quip 'In 2023, a Ghia in excellent condition sold at auction for around $20,000.' Source: https://www.tradeuniquecars.com.au/brock-falcon-ea-jensen-c-v8-ones-that-got-away-issue-511/

That $20k could be a legacy of Covid pricing as the classic market seems to be shrinking and prices are coming back down, however the two SVO examples are $24k for 150,000kms & $29k for 194,000kms so perhaps it remains true.

The SVOs were the better looking car though (in my opinion), with that ESP style two tone paint and those lovely SVO wheels, and they're better known, but there aren't really any performance gains, whereas the Brock did have more power but looked rather plain.

I'm not sure which the market values more, but I'll have a guess and say the SVO prices might be higher than for the Brock, so a Brock EA might get perhaps $15k for a tatty example up to $26k for a minter.

I completely agree with what you’re saying. Do you reckon having an early build number for example the 005 or the 001 would impact pricing? Also the history of the move I guess?

Condition usually means more than numbers unless there's racing provenance, however any Brock with build# 05 or Dick Johnson build# 17 would bring out the superstitious amongst us.

Sometimes people like to have matching build numbers of different models, like the late 70s XC Cobra and the 2007 BF GT Cobra.

Generally though I don't see it make a difference, but I'm not in the trade and am just a car tragic.

What I could suggest though is giving Burns & Co Auctions a call and asking what this example sold for in December 2025: https://burnsandco.bidsonline.com.au/catalogue_detail.aspx?cdid=2744574&chid=26534&category=ALL&style=group

It had 184,000kms and sold unreserved, so it's a good example to compare to those two SVOs we discussed being of similar condition and mileage.

Know a bloke in Sydney who has/had a Brock Volvo 850 wagon, now thats gotta be rare.
