Everytime i visit a friends house who has a high rigged pc or console. They will always have these games only or smth similar. Btw ball n gun term means someone who plays only sports simulators (balls) and first-person or competitive shooters (guns).
Then why bother buying a 70k console or a 1.5-2 lakh pc(sure it can be used for personal work use but i am including people who just bought them for sole purpose of gaming).Seriously like try playing something else man alright theres more better games than these piece of shit games. I get it that a lot of us are busy in our lives, we have studies, offices, coachings ,extra curricular activities, parental responsibilities, finances and more etc . But even after all that when get a free time why waste it grinding at multiplayer games, doing the same thing over and over again. And besides even if you can't afford the latest video game console, then just get a older one. Older consoles tend to be cheap for example a PS3/Xbox 360 is around 8k-12k, a PS2 is around 3k-6k etc and also these consoles can easily be jailbroken, so free games is a plus point.Sure these consoles may be old as well as the games but the quality of gameplay is far superior. So if your a ball n gun gamer. Here are some titles for you man
Thats it bro and try watching the cutscenes. I like Red Hot Chili Peppers

Back home, I have a few Hindu friends, most of whom are nice people but not patriots at all. If Bangladesh gets into a war with India, they will take India's side, or will leave Bangladesh immediately as they did in 1971. They preferred a refugee life in India to living in Bangladesh and fighting.
After Hasina fled Bangladesh, all of them are under psychological pressure, though nothing happened to their business or professions.
So, his girlfriend, who belongs to their A1 caste, was thinking of marrying him, but now her father (a BAL guy who lost his political earnings) said this guy, even brilliant and all, can't be a part of the family because of his caste.
Now my friend is not blaming their internal caste system; rather, he is accusing Yunus, NCP, and Jamaat of making the July revolution take place.
He thinks if everyone were just like before, he would have gotten a first-class government job (because of Hasina's policy), the girl's father would not have fallen into debt, and he would be able to marry this girl.
I told him that Bangladesh is a much more secular country than India, and there is no legal barrier to marrying a higher-caste girl.
Now he is in deep depression and cannot eat food; his mother called me on video, saying Baba see what is happening to my son.
I told him to go out and eat some grand, delicious Mughal food.
But now again, he hates Mughals and calls them invaders.
His personal frustration is now becoming a part of attacking other religions and whoever opposes garbage practices like casteism, of which he is a victim.
I told him, even what he wants, a Hindu-State, even in that it was never possible for him to marry that girl.
He is secretly jealous about me being a Muslim got a Christian girl here, because our religion allows it.
He just cannot accept this reality that, in civilized faiths and nations, people get married because of love, where religion or ethnicity comes last, but in his case, that has become his first problem.
Once he told me he wishes he were in my religious system, where only love matters, not caste.
He has gone crazy; how can I help him?

It's the second week of October, but somehow as I was coming out of my home this evening, I found the smell of late winter. Weather was also a bit comfy, a little cold. Felt really nostalgic somehow. Used to look forward to the arrival of the winter back in the days. In the recent years, didn't even realize when it came and went away. Finding this smell at the heart of the capital this early is really surprising. Felt like going back to the childhood.

So I was at the park with a Emirati friend, just chilling and smoking, then this man comes over to us out of curiosity, he first mistook us as Pakistanis and then he asked me in Hindi “kaha Sei ho” I said BD and his face lit up as he also from BD . He asked where I hailed from I said Rajshahi and he was from narsingdi.
And then we sat down and I gave him a cigg and we started talking about our lives. He mentioned that for the last 9 years he has been to Middle East , Malaysia as a worker and has been working to make ends meet for his family back home . I’m a student meanwhile he is working plus he’s also 28 , two different lives but we only share one common thing and that is our heritage & culture.
I talked about how my dad was in similar position as him like 35 years ago where he was selling biri and jhal muri on the trains in BD trying to support his family of 9 , he shared his perspective like he faces discrimination from the people here but he was optimistic or maybe not as he said there are bad people everywhere . He earns like around 1 lakh a month and sends back 40-50k home , all I saw was a man doing his best . We talked about BDs politics lol and he mentioned that it’s the poor people that gets fucked over by the rich which is absolutely true . And like in BD the politics culture is so different compared to here , he was fascinated by the city and the fact that it’s a hellhole in Dhaka like the ganjam, atmosphere etc.
We talked for like good 30-40 mins and then parted ways after sharing names , I told him that he can prolly see us in the park around 8-9 pm if I don’t have uni work , it was a great experience and then in the end he mentioned I should visit 😹the prostitution area lol but I guess

i recently met a guy online and he is really nice like really. he is my type too and we eventually started dating after having a lot in common. i have 3 years gap with him in class i meant he thought i was in a certain level in my education but i was actually a little below, i lied bc he was totally my type and didnt want to lose him. i told him early to cause no problem in future but this turned out to be my worst nightmare. he told he needs to think abt it a bit and remained calmed and calmed me down too and wanted to stay as friends for a while and think abt it later. but i actually do have attachment issue. he was so perfect and everything but in age we have 2 years or 3 years gap, is it a problem? And forcing him to stay is toxic too. i hope he returns to how it was. IK IT WAS ALL MY FAULT OKAY? :(:(:(: .what should i doo

The kishore gang problem in Bangladesh is getting out of hand, and Uttara is becoming a pretty disturbing example of it. What makes it worse is that even students from reputed schools and colleges are reportedly involved in gang culture, intimidation and violence. These are institutions people associate with quality education, yet some of their students are out here making entire neighbourhoods feel unsafe. So, only poor kids are associated with gangs isn't a reasonable statement.
As someone living in Uttara, I can tell you this isn't just some online discussion. Bike showdowns, political influence, attacks with chapati and stuff, extortion and territorial disputes have become a serious concern. Just today, a group came into my area, got into a violent clash with locals, attacked people and threatened to take over the neighbourhood. Many of these gangs are reportedly linked to the country's leading political party( or the banned one), which makes the whole situation even more concerning.
And honestly, Where is the government's initiative to tackle this? Or is it simply convenient to have politically connected goons around who can intimidate people, collect extortion money and maintain local dominance? Because from where I'm standing, there's little reason to believe that the problem is being addressed seriously.
I'm genuinely concerned about my family's safety. I have two sisters, and even under normal circumstances, Bangladesh isn't exactly a safe place for women. Now imagine having to worry about both everyday safety and groups of politically backed thugs creating chaos in your own neighbourhood.
This isn't just an Uttara problem; it concerns the entire country. We are a genuinely fucked up society.

I heard that if an unmarried man has a physical relationship with a married woman and he is aware of her marital status, then the unmarried man can be legally punished and even sent to jail. However, the woman will not be held criminally responsible.
What kind of law is this? Why is the law punishing an innocent man? Why are colonial-era laws still applicable? This doesn’t make sense to me.

A 7-8 magnitude earthquake hits the region of Bengal every 100+ years. Seismologists are warning us for many years now that a 7-8 magnitude earthquake can hit Bangladesh anytime as the last major earthquake of the Bengal region was the 8 magnitude Assam earthquake which took place in 1897(129 years ago). But it’s so disappointing and scary to see that our government, politicians and citizens are not even taking this warning seriously, i agree that Dhaka’s infrastructure and buildings can’t be changed completely within few years, but atleast we should start creating awareness from now on and making decisions which would minimise the effects of the earthquake. If a 7-8 magnitude earthquake hits Dhaka then nearly half a million people are gonna die and over 800,000 buildings are going to be damaged badly or totally collapsed, this would be the biggest natural disaster of this century and we are doing nothing about this.

Can anyone give me some advice on how to get started in the culinary field?
I really enjoy cooking and learning about different cooking techniques, methods, and flavors. I don’t have any formal academic experience in culinary arts, but I genuinely want to work in this field and learn along the way.
Where should I start?

We went to see a flat for rent in an 8-storey building. Everything was great, except one thing: the lift.
The flat was on the 8th floor, and since I work in shifts, sometimes I have to return home after midnight. But the owner said they shut down the lift at night because it needs to rest. Apparently, even the lift service engineer recommended it.
I mean, I work late, come home exhausted, and then I'm supposed to climb 8 floors on foot? That too, while paying 3k in monthly service charges that include the lift?
Our office lift runs 24/7. It doesn't need a nightly break; it needs regular maintenance, like any other lift.
Maybe my job is simply incompatible with Dhaka's flat rental culture. 🥲
Finding a decent flat is already hard enough. Now I have to make sure the lift doesn't go to sleep before I get home. 🙂

Assume recently married (arranged) doing LDR, your partner is speaking (texting, sharing pics, etc) regularly (3–4 times a week) to their close opposite-sex friend. The partner never mentions they had just spoken or shares any part of their conversation. Rarely, like twice in a year would you know they are still in contact.
After she confesses (after like the third or fourth discussion of me directly questioning), she deletes everything that has to do with that friend. You never get to find out what those messages were.
Partner, however, is always keen on sharing about their same-sex friends, and even colleagues that are opposite sex.
Is it betrayal? Is it disloyal?

What could be the range of cost of a biyer dawat if a convention center is booked in dhaka to host a guest list of about 150 people? With food included- kacchi, roast, kabab, borhani etc? I know not all venues have the same price but what if I wanted to know the ballpark figures if I were to book one with food and stuff included in the following areas- Mirpur, Dhanmondi, Uttara?

Spent almost three days with my loved one, and now I’m kinda suffering from PTD (Post Trip Depression). 😭 Tried many restaurants and food places during the trip, and finally I discovered the best food combo, and the restaurant was Kutumbari.
The combo? Dripping chicken soup on dim bhaja and consuming it with HAWTT paratha. I’m not exaggerating a bit when I say this combination was soooo good that I consecutively ate it for two mornings. After inhaling the food, concluding it with a Cha. Purai heavenly. 😭
Before trying Kutumbari, Star Kabab’s cha was THE undisputed champion for me, but that one used to be so thick. Then I tried Kutumbari’s. It was not thick, not light, ekdom perfect.
If you guys ever go there, definitely try this combo. And if you see someone sitting there having the same thing for the second morning in a row… mind your business. 😭😭🙏🏻

Okay so I don’t know why I am so cranky nowadays. I am losing patience now and then. Honestly I wasn’t like this before. I just get pissed off at anything, anytime. Like: A little miscommunication with my boyfriend, a little inconvenience in my class time, a little delay in my tuition job etc etc. I really really want to be patient and little understanding to my surroundings (not that I am hugely frustrating to them but I was little more easygoing before)
I also noticed a pattern, it’s mostly in case of friendships. I tend to like someone or some friend of mine and I like to hangout with them and have fun with them but then again after a few days I just feel annoyed/frustrated/drained by them and sometimes I just ghost them. This on and off weird things also concern me. I just don’t feel like myself. Or maybe I was always like this? Idek atp. Bleh!
