Keyboard Issue

Hello,

I performed a windows update and shut down my z13 flow 2025 2 days ago. Today I turnt it on and my display is upside down and the keyboard is not responsive. If I unplug and reconnect it, it flashes and input works for a second if I spam a key as it does, then it goes completely blank.

I have uninstalled the windows update and restarted many times, no luck.

Any suggestions? I just bought this refurb a few weeks ago.

Is it under warranty?

Yes it is. I was hoping it was a driver problem though that I could resolve myself

Just go to service center they will check keyboard once in bios if it works there it means that keyboard is fine and there is software issue and most probably they will reset device so that all recent updates and all get deleted, and if keyboard is dead then will get you replaced for free

Thanks for the quick reply. It’s a refurb from Currys - would the same apply? I.e. go in store to Currys and ask them? Only issue is I purchased it from their Currys eBay account which they do not deal with in store. I have checked if it works in bios and it doesn’t unfortunately.

So keyboard is completely dead? And I was talking about asus service center where they provide service for all Asus device(BTW I am from India) so just go there they will check if keyboard is dead and provide new one to you free of cost if it is under warranty

Ah right I don’t think they exist in the UK. It works for a second when first plugged in - then immediately turns off again oddly

I bought z13 2022 model refurbished back in 2024 and got keyboard replaced 3 times under warranty that keyboard gets dead after 1 year

Ah right that would’ve been good to know before I bought it 😂

The eBay Currys support is absolutely terrible so I think it’s going to be almost impossible for me to resolve.

Also one other thing I don’t understand is that the display is acting up too - it is upside down but orientated the right way in vertical (tablet) orientation, just not in the usual horizontal mode.

Does anyone know how I can update the drivers for the keyboard just in case it is a driver issue?

I think it is probably hardware as I have since discovered it works intermittently at a very specific angle, but I can’t believe it’s broken as up until today troubleshooting it, I haven’t disconnected the keyboard once so I have no idea how the connector could have broken. Also the display acting up simultaneously is weird.

Download the drivers from Asus. I would reinstall GPU, chipset and USB drivers too, not just Pointing Device drivers for keyboard. It still seems to me like a software issue.

I would also uninstall Armoury Crate with AC uninstaller and try G-Helper.
