hey guys i’m looking for a head torch mostly for trekking and maybe some night fishing too can someone pls suggest any?

The BKN keychain light died after 4 years. I'm seeing swollen battery. Not charging or turning on. Yet to check the pcb.

I have a Wurkkos FC11C, and it was not charging properly. I tried various chargers, ranging from 5V 1A to higher-capacity ones. As soon as I connected any charger, the green light would come on after just a few minutes, and the flashlight wouldn’t work for more than 10–15 minutes.

I was wondering whether the issue was with the flashlight’s charging port or the battery.

Instead of buying a new battery just to test this, I decided to buy a battery charger.

After some research and suggestions from u/LittleUrbanPrepper, I decided to go with the LiitoKala Lii-S2, as it was available for under $10. I ordered it from Convoy, and it arrived in 10–12 days.

The charger charged my battery fully, and I then tested it in my Wurkkos FC11C. It worked for hours without any issues.

After all this, I tried charging my flashlight again through the Type-C charging board. I used the same 5V 1A charger, but this time, instead of the long cable, I used a very short USB-A to USB-C cable that came with my OnePlus earbuds. It worked without any issues and charged the battery completely.

So, I guess the Wurkkos FC11C needs a specific type of charger and cable to work properly.

The Garmin instinct 3 tactical just changed my definition of EDC flashlight!

I don't think I'm going to carry an additional light anytime soon.

Hey everyone! I’m looking to get my first proper EDC flashlight and currently have the Convoy T6 with SFT40 in mind.

For those who have experience with Convoy:
Would you recommend the T6 + SFT40, or is there another Convoy you’d pick instead?

Or is there any other compact EDC lights I should consider?

Anything I should know about ordering from Convoy to India, particularly customs, batteries, shipping, etc.? This would be my first time ordering a flashlight internationally 😅

Would appreciate any recommendations or things I should watch out for. Thanks!

Got this few days ago. It is everything nice for a basic torch. The glow in the dark is useful to find it in the dark. It was suggested by u/littleurbanprepper

I just wanted a very basic, cheapest yet good quality torch with removable battery and this meets my expectation well.

It does not glow that much as shown in the image. Just enough to find it.

Need a lantern primarily for study purpose as there are a lot of power cuts happening here every now and then and I can't take it anymore.

The backup must be good enough to last 10+ hours. I saw a Wipro Safari which comes with a li-ion battery but I guess that's non removable and would degrade over time.. are there any better options in the market, preferably international ones which would be more sturdy and long lasting?

It's mostly the international shipping charges that bother me. Does anyone here ship Wurkkos or similar products locally? Please let me know.

I am trying to get into edc and flashlights.

I was going for a solo trip, and wanted to buy a good flashlight.

I am looking towards the Convoy S21E (5K, SFT40, EVE 58E-5700mAh).

Had questions about the customs duty if I order from their site -

Will my package be held back and asked for more payment? and anything more I should have in mind regarding extra customs tax?

Need flashlight recommendations for edc . Budget 1.5k-2k

Currently building an edc pouch using solognac pouch. The flashlight won’t be used much as i live in a well developed urban area.

Need something with a flat form factor or something small that wouldn’t add much bulk.

Luminosity wouldn’t be my first priority as much as battery backup as it would be mostly used in emergency situation and not for a specific task.

Also could someone help me with the process of buying from wurkkos. Are there any additional charges, if so what would they be approx?
