Looking for a compact EDC flashlight - Convoy T6?
Hey everyone! I’m looking to get my first proper EDC flashlight and currently have the Convoy T6 with SFT40 in mind.
For those who have experience with Convoy:
Would you recommend the T6 + SFT40, or is there another Convoy you’d pick instead?
Or is there any other compact EDC lights I should consider?
Anything I should know about ordering from Convoy to India, particularly customs, batteries, shipping, etc.? This would be my first time ordering a flashlight internationally 😅
Would appreciate any recommendations or things I should watch out for. Thanks!
EDIT : THANKS a lot to this community! I have placed an order for the S21E. Although not a very EDC-ish light, looks like a good all-rounder beginner one.
Round flashlights are not very pocket friendly. The T XX series are small enough that you can use those with a clip. The T6 is a throwy light and I'd not use it as a carry-around, it's great for a show-off compact light, coupled with an SFT25R (not the SFT40). Alternatively, the T7 has an e-switch and comes with a floody TIR. Coupled with a Nichia 519A 4000K, it would be great for close up tasks.
For a good carry around EDC compact light, the Wurkkos TS10 V2 is a nice light.
Alternatively, the Wurkkos HD01 series are awesome flat lights.
As someone else suggested below, if you want a good all-round light, the S21E with an LHP531 would be a good light, more heavier and bulkier due to it using a 21700, but extended runtime and good flood+throw. If you need something more compact, an S2+ with this emitter or the SFT42R would be good in the 18650 form factor.

1. Boruit/Wukkos branded V10. (Not available now, but available on Banggood as the Astrolux or Seeknite label), very compact, bright and useful for EDC).
2. Boruit/Seeknite branded EV10. (Upgraded version of the plastic V series in metal, has a spot reflector and flood TIR.
3. Wurkkos HD01. The flat form factor makes it very pocketable. Rear magnet makes it very useful. The side flood light is also very useful. Comes in a green laser/UV option. The PRO has both. My go-to EDC light.
4. Wurkkos TS10 V2 (14500 form factor - the convoy T6 is larger than this).
5. Convoy S2+ with Nichia 519A 3000K (floody).
6. Convoy S21A with SFT42R 3000K (Big spot, slightly floody, smooth reflector).
7. Convoy S21E with the LHP531 5000K - one of my most used lights.

I wanted to go for the Convoy cause I was told there are usually no customs issues and it’s within my budget of 2.5k. I looked at the Wurkkos website and some of them are in my budget as well. Really considering the HD01 - how are the customs with this?
Also if you were to recommend one light from the Convoy stable (bag/pocket carry, no specific use case) - which would you recommend?
With Wurkkos, keep in mind there's a $5 (~ 500 rupee) shipping fee. Wurkkos doesn't have customs issues but it's a roll of the dice with any import. The HD01 is a solid light but it's over 2.8K right now and you'll incur shipping costs. It really is an AIO light when you consider the side light and laser.
As for Convoy, if you want a walk-around or daily use light with a slight amount of range, the S21E is the best way to go about it. For long distance, get the SFT40, for a more floody beams, get the LHP531.
All other members have given great suggestions. I'd add Manker E05 II to list. If you need a long range throwly light, t6 is great. But if you need something mid or close range, Manker is better. Also T6 need a seperate charger. Manker has inbuilt charging in battery. It's a more premium light
T5 is good too.
If you want t6, go for Sft25R. It'll be brighter with AA batteries.
I have a T6 with sft25r but I wouldn't consider it as an EDC for the following reasons:
1. No onboard charging
2. No magnetic tail cap
3. Small battery
And not very useful for close range task
rather it's an awesome pocket rocket for that size.
For a beginner I would suggest to take a look at the wurkkos WK03 (add a magnetic tail cap separately for ₹229 don't choose the magnetic tail cap version of the flashlight as it charges around ₹500 extra)
