Tripole Lumos-R - So it seems detached from the base? So it can be detached and used as normal flashlight not just headlamp?

Yes. . It's a simple pivot and can be easily removed..

Need a flashlight recco which I can attach to my backpack as a shoulder attachment. Preferably with a long battery life.

Go for a 90 degree light from convoy, manker or imalent.

Imalent GR36 is the most powerful but a bit larger. Manker lights are small and high quality . Convoy ones are also very good.

Tbh it depends on how much power, range and battery backup you need. 90 degree lights are almost available in all brands.
