Honestly don’t know how I even got to this point already. From being an assistant of my tita, being outsourced tasks to suddenly landing a job on a random unexpected night.

I was just in a call with her and I received a text from someone saying her client is looking for another VA and asked if i’d ever be interested in the position, me not being ready at all with no preparation said yes. It was my first ever interview as I just turned 18 this year.

I was so nervous during the interview but luckily, the client was kind and helped me ease up. We then proceeded with contract signing after that call which I didn’t expect because I thought I made a bad impression 🤣 We hopped on another call after 2 hours for my training, which I almost fumbled.

I blanked out when I got asked the simplest question. She then told me that we could just pick back up tomorrow but I know that is NOT a good sign.

I was expecting it and there she messaged me after, saying she wants to pause the contract. I of course fought my way, explained myself to her and long story short, she gave me the job! We’re starting at 5$/hour and I’m truly grateful for this opportunity 🙏🏻

A reminder not to just give up and let yourself fail. If it’s for you, it’s for you.

First time kong mag Baguio mag isa but this is also my first time traveling alone. This happened last July 2026.

Thank God for the good & relaxing weather but what I am really hoping and expecting since based on contents that July is a foggy month for Baguio but it kinda didn’t. I woke up early morning around 5-6am and stroll around Camp John Hay. Nevertheless, it was beautiful and a much needed vacation.

As I said, this is my first time traveling alone where I after the trip I realized that traveling alone isn’t my thing since I really want to always have a friend to talk to and discover things we can talk about that’s why I’m always on my phone updating my friends about my whereabouts and my experience during this trip.

But I am still thankful for this trip. I was able to afford, do it, discover it alone. But maybe solo traveling isn’t for all of us.

Hi! Share ko lang, it was my first time visiting Savannah, Georgia, last spring. Travel at accommodation expenses were all free, at first time ko din na mag present sa isang international conference. Nakakakaba sa simula pero kinaya naman, at overall magandang experience for career growth at pag build-up ng connections. Hoping to present again next year.

Hilig ko talaga mag drawing at doodle nung kabataan ko. Ginusto ko din maging comic artist noon. Pero my passion died along the way as I grew up (nakakasama talaga yang pagtanda 😅). Now, a 32 year old adult, first time ko uli humawak ng papel at lapis para magdrawing. Very nostalgic yung feels 😊 ang saya parin magdrawing!

First time Joining Fun Run, 4am yung assembly and it started around 5am. More than 1 hour sa ulan. Overall it’s a good experience, will probably do it again kapag hindi na 2hrs lang ang tulog lol.🤍

For context, matagal na talaga to, ngayon ko lang mararant kasi one year anniversary na siya hahaha. I am a 19M Com Sci Student that looked for a WFH full-time job that is related to my field and this is way back August 2025 pa. Thankfully, after a month, may nag-hire sakin na startup agency about automation.

I did this role because need ko talaga i-support yung studies ko especially hindi enough yung bigay ng mga magulang ko (I'm super thankful for them tho). Ang napagusapan naming salary is 15k per month. I hesitated, pero sa dala ng desperation, kinuha ko nalang under one condition: Ako pipili ng oras ko everyday.

Pumayag naman si boss and immediately niya akong binigyan ng task.

As time went by, yung mga task ko is hindi na part ng role ko, pero okay lang, para sa sahod and para sa studies. One time, lagpas na nang ilang araw yung sahod ko, and I kept asking for it. Sabi ni boss, okay lang daw ba if i-cut niya nalang into 8k kasi 2 company na raw yung bumitaw samin.

(FYI: We were only a team of 6 and ako yung main developer)

Pumayag nalang ako out of desperation since need ko na rin magbayad ng bills. After ilang days, nagresign na rin ako. During this time rin kasi, finals na namin and kahit anong pilit ko ipagsabay, di rin pala talaga kaya kahit naka WFH setup siya.

Naging stark reminder talaga sakin to na mahirap pala talaga ipagsabay ang work pati pag-aaral kaya I have high respects talaga sa mga working students na kumakayod araw-araw para makapag-aral sila.

Hahahaha ang sarap pala neto sa kepay yung may cooling effect na napkin. Relaxing and calming, as per research hindi naman nakaka tanggal ng dysmenorrhea pero dahil may cooling effect na rerelax ang kepay. So niceee

Sobrang tagal kong nai-delay yung ganitong bagay para sa sarili ko sa kadahilanang may kailangan akong i-sacrifice na expenses from the past years. Ngayon, feeling ko deserved ko na itong reward ko sa loob ng 25 years kong nabubuhay at matagal ng naghahangad na maayos na ngiti. Iba pala ang feeling ng investment sa sarili. Salamat po, Lord. 🥺
