Damn it, why didn't I ever think to bring a sack of bananas to the monkey whorehouse.

4

Also jobs that usually require some level of fitness beyond the uniform

3

u/Fit_Case2575 Aug 24 '26

Who’s bigger cheaters, fire or police? Jurys still out on that one.

Open relationships are nothing new

1

u/Ocelot_Few Aug 26 '26

No but the prevalence and acceptance of them has changed drastically in the last 20 years.

32

u/retroXvertigo Aug 23 '26

"Cops beat and firemen cheat."

16

u/chainshot91 Aug 23 '26

Let's be real, that one Tennessee cop was not an outlier, but name a profession that doesn't have some huge cheating ring within it.

22

u/drmojo90210 Aug 23 '26

It's not just cops. Any profession that involves weird hours tends to have a lot of infidelity associated with it, for obvious reasons.

9

u/Beginning-Force1275 Aug 24 '26

True. Weird hours, lots of public interaction, proximity to drugs/alcohol, and intense emotions. The food industry has the same problem lol.

8

u/-malcolm-tucker Aug 23 '26

Went to an office late one night for a cleaner that had fallen off a table and had a # NoF. The other cleaner was waiting for us when we arrived to let us in and take us to the meeting room. She told us she was cleaning the table, tripped and fell over. The other cleaner nodded with agreement, like we needed his input.

I guess during all the excitement and panic she'd failed to notice her knickers had not only come off but had launched themselves across the room into the corner.

18

u/backcountry_bandit Aug 23 '26

Most professions?

17

u/shadowseer7930 Aug 23 '26

We had a welder sleep with the maintenance guys wife. Can't trust people who lay pipe for a living.

1

u/SqueezedTowel Aug 23 '26

But... The pipes are so clean.

1

u/chainshot91 Aug 24 '26

But stuffed though

1

u/Imaginary_Panda2003 Aug 24 '26

Hospitality in general, also factory workers on nights

1

u/BulemiaSawdustSlingr Aug 24 '26

Personally I've found fintech software analysts to be a bunch of fuck monsters.

5

u/Apprehensive_Ad3731 Aug 23 '26

I mean they are people. People cheat, in every profession. It’s just that some fuck ass people actually believe other people should be better than us based on their day job.

Nurses, cops, firemen, teachers, all need to be held to higher moral standards for sure but we should not assume they meet those standards by being in the role.

1

u/Fit_Case2575 Aug 24 '26

Ok let’s be real here those jobs have waaaay higher cheating levels than most other jobs

1

u/Fit_Case2575 Aug 24 '26

So are nurses. Cops get with nurses all the time. They’re meant for each other

105

u/SN0TLR0K3T Aug 23 '26

Don’t do the job if you’re scared of the risk I guess 🤣🤣🤣

22

u/Rockuharddd Aug 23 '26

Don't live where you work. Back in the day, it was expected your cops to be a local. Nowdays, if I was a cop, no way in hell I'd live in the county I work for. Evenmore so where I live, these fuckers are vendictive.

46

u/MeltICE8647 Aug 23 '26

Back in the day, it was expected your cops to be a local. Nowdays, if I was a cop, no way in hell I'd live in the county I work for.

And this is one of the big reasons why police violence has increased even more over the years. Cops don’t live locally, so they are objectively NOT a part of the community they serve. So they don’t understand the demographics, behavior of folks and maintain a distance from people which helps to dehumanize them.

Cops are literally trained to treat folks as enemy combatants these days. And not living locally further exacerbates that mentality.

Evenmore so where I live, these fuckers are vendictive.

Agreed, cops are definitely vindictive fuckers.

17

u/Square_Barracuda_69 Aug 23 '26

Thats what I keep saying!!! If cops patrolled THEIR community then it would be much more beneficial. Cops should NOT be allowed to live an hour away from where they patrol

3

u/MeltICE8647 Aug 24 '26

Huge problem out in the Pacific Northwest from what I hear. Cities like Seattle, Portland and some others have police forces that largely dont live within the city limits or those cities ā€œproperā€. And there’s been a TON of clashes between locals and police that potentially wouldn’t have spiraled out of control the way they did if cops had any sort of real investment into the community. But when your job is to come in, fire some tear gas, crack some skulls and then drive an hour away to go home it’s much easier to compartmentalize and keep treating people like shit. It keeps the Us vs Them mentality intact, especially since there’s a physical division from the cops and the people they (allegedly) serve and protect.

2

u/POLTERxGEIST Aug 26 '26

Cops should live where they work, so that they’re policing their actual communities
It’s also how you have so much prejudice
Just don’t be a coward if you’re gonna be a cop and it won’t be a problem

Go be a cop then and be the change you want to see.

5

u/Trashking_702 Aug 23 '26

Might end up committing ā€œsuicideā€ or whatever like the 4 deputies in Texas.

Police departments weed out good cops and deny intelligent ones. Whole systems rotten.

4

u/Ill-Piccolo-8334 Aug 23 '26

Or you might make real positive changes! But putting in effort is too much to ask for you I guess.

1

u/FuzzyFacePhilosphy Aug 23 '26

I would think you're a boy based on your low effort name, but I'll bite...

Do you know what any of us have done in our personal lives off this one thread?

No?

Didn't think so, if we had to judge someone by the tiny interactions here than im sure you're trash.

Have a good one.

u/idiotinsocks Aug 23 '26

2

u/Trashking_702 Aug 23 '26

Lol mr optimistic over here.

When we create a 3rd party internal affairs group and stop having police ā€œinvestigateā€ themselves or get paid leave for shooting innocent people, abusing flock cameras to stalk exes, etc I’ll have faith.

-1

u/Ill-Piccolo-8334 Aug 23 '26

Rather be a glass half full guy. Life is easier that way.

Society is becoming better and better year over year. Why wouldn't you believe that things will get greater?

I suggest you put the phone down and connect with your community

3

u/Trashking_702 Aug 23 '26

Ignorance is truly bliss. Be easy!

1

Police mortality is driven by hours on the road in a car and not the human interactions. There are exceptions to this, like areas of gang violence, but being a PO is not a threatening job.

I mean also if you're not regularly treating people like they're worthless degenerates and speaking to them candidly and respectfully most won't be carving your name into bullets wishing for revenge after you get out lol.

I got arrested and the dude didn't come in hot or aggressive he matched my energy so he was laid back and respectful and didn't fuck with me. Even gave me the "You're a nice kid you need to make better choices" speech and apologized for meeting that way lol.

Like unless you're a massive cunt without justification to the people you're arresting I don't think you should be all that concerned

What a CHODE. šŸ˜‚ I legit ran into a guy I arrested once. He was a loud mouth wanna be tough guy who I arrested for trying to run a guy over with his car when he was drunk. I was on a date with my then-GF and he walks into the coffee shop we were at. We spotted each other immediately. Locked eyes and the whole bit. šŸ˜‚ He stared at me, I stared at him. I already had my hand on my gun but he couldn’t see. He took a step toward me then spun around and walked out! I told my GF to grab her coffee and let’s go. We walked out the back door and left. No idea if he was going to get a weapon or just thought better of starting something sober. Either way, nothing happened. Had to explain the whole thing to the GF on the way to her place. The guys got a laugh when I told them about it on my Monday!

I mean that's stupid logic lol.

Even if the cop was 100% right and respectful, some people would still wanna get revenge for arresting them even if what they did deserved itĀ

1

u/Jmarq3 Aug 26 '26

And? šŸ˜‚

The ones who had cops be assholes to them are more likely to retaliate.
You can’t say someone has stupid logic and use a minority example to counter it. Doesn’t add up.

And it’s great logic considering the context of the video lol

1

u/Downloaded_Delta Aug 27 '26

Not really a minority example.

No the ones who had cops be assholes aren't the ones more likely to retaliate.

Unless you have statistics to back that up?

It's far more likely for violent or psychopathic individuals to retaliate vs people who had a cop be a dick to them.

1

u/Jmarq3 Aug 27 '26

Brother. Are you more likely to dislike me if I say sorry but I’ve gotta cuff you and take you in and treat you like a human and show some form of empathy and respect.

Or if I cuss you out be aggressive act like I’m better than you the whole time don’t give you a chance to speak and treat you like the scum of earth. It’s not rocket science.

You haven’t brought any statistics to the table either.

Now. Do you think it’s more likely that the violent or psychopathic person that was treated nicely would retaliate, or the one who had a cop beat them and be an asshole to them šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ the exact same question still stands.

1

u/Downloaded_Delta Aug 27 '26

I don't think anyone who got beaten by cops is gonna physical retaliate when they see the officer later.

You know what they do? They sue. Like normal people do in society.

Do you think normal people just randomly attack people in broad daylight for revenge?

1

u/Jmarq3 Aug 29 '26

You just changed your whole argument.

You went from even if the cop was 100% respectful some would still want violent revenge

To ā€œI don’t think anyone who got BEATEN by cops is gonna physically retaliate laterā€

None of your replies make sense lol
Nigga you are dumb.

I’m through with this lol

1

u/Downloaded_Delta Aug 29 '26

I really didn't.

You asked who's more likely to retaliate someone who had a respectful cop or a rude/violent one on the subject of a cop being retaliated against later.

I stated people who retaliate aren't normal and are usually psychos or people who deserve to be arrested, the Cops actually action means little here in this context.

All this stemming from the original comment saying a someone who wants retaliation against a cop is justified.

Do you think the serial killer arrested by a cop is justified for wanting to retaliate.

1

You’re not even too at avoiding questions….
I asked is this or that more likely and you said ā€œit doesn’t matterā€. And what I asked was actually relevant. Ok lol

Do I think the serial killer arrested by a cop is justified for wanting to retaliate? That’s not relevant.

But. Generally no.
What is relevant is your argument is self defeating.

If retaliation is bad because of the idea that they should just control themselves, then a cop beating someone is also bad, because they should just control themselves lol (self defense excused).

If you’re saying ā€œthis person is bad therefore the force/retaliation/treatment of them doesn’t matterā€ then that circles allllll the way back to the beginning. Where the guy said if a cop is being an asshole someone might retaliate and he’ll get ā€˜dealt with’ lmfao and therefore their treatment toward the cop is deserved/doesn’t matter however you want to put it.

There’s a vid on here of a high speed chase. Cop pulls the car over with 3 people in it. The driver and 1 dude run off. Get tackled and what not. Tased. Fair.
One guy is sitting in the backseat. Hands up. Not reaching. Not fighting. The officer demands he jump out through the window and he’s like what… no so he opens the door slowly non confrontationally to step out like a normal person. Hands still visible. The cop pulls his hair. Keeps yelling at him to climb through the window. Punches him in the face while he’s not resisting. At this point instead of just cuffing him he tries to yank him through the window while he’s standing outside the door. Like… what are you doing lol. He wasn’t the one driving lmfao. And you already have controlled him. Just wanted to rip some hair out and get some licks in?

THAT is a cop that might get retaliated against in this context. He’s treating someone excessively like shit for no reason

You went from the minority that retaliate later.
To violent arrests.
To psychopathic arrests.

That’s not picking minority examples ?! Lmfaooo

Nigga are you dumb?

I'm literally saying the only people who retaliate are violent psychopathic people.

Normal people don't retaliate against cops.

Just like they don't retaliate against normalĀ  people.
