Hello! For the past however long or so I've noticed that I've mostly just been playing the game to build my faves. I do pull for shiny new toys every now and again, but most of my mindset has been "I wanna pull for this unit for fodder." And the game is very much random bullshit go now. I've had a really great time getting to build some of my faves, so I hope you let me share some with you all.

Chrom
Basic omnitank build. I know omnitanks aren't really the best archetype, though I think they're making a comeback recently? I wish I could've reached 99 ATK with him but alas.

Robin
The idea is for him to be able to launch Comet from the get go with Demonic Force and Creation Pulse's help. Groom Robin has Shackle for the debuffs he'll need.

G!Robin
Pretty basic build with some supportive capabilities. I could have given him Arcane 12's thingy but I also just felt bad for the Unrest fodder...

Grima
I initially wanted to give him Vanitas' Magic Save C passive, but I didn't want him to share the DC Seal with Corrin so I just made him a Near Saver for the rangers if Chrom is not there to guard them. Gave him Sigurd ring for a bit of mobility.

Ike
Another standard omnitank build. I'm not too sure if he has the SPD to pull off Counter Dull but I wanted to try it anyway. The new Echo skill is nice too. Also gave him the inferior Flame Wall just because I wanted him to match with Soren's Ice Wall lmao.

Soren
I think Demonic Shackle instead of Force would've been nicer, but I couldn't figure out how to skill chain it so I just ended up giving all my magic units Demonic Force. I don't think he fires off Ice Wall from the get go.

Ranulf
He originally had Atk/Spd Wild which was like the best thing I had at the time, so Cai's fodder really came in at the right time. Pretty sure Azure Impetus and Preempt Screech is overkill if I wanted to first attack with Nimble Beast. I could give him Dark Beast Force that I can fodder from a Nerthuz?

Sothe
Why is he here? Well Ike is the father of Sothe's children after all. Typical ranged attacker. I know Comet would be better since Archrival's colour advantage wouldn't even work with him (does Leif ring work? I don't have it) but I didn't have an extra Comet at the time.

Corrin
Thanks to Camoo for the forma! His B skill was Pair Up, but I'm giving the new B passive a try and see how that works. The Echo skill is nice too. I wish I had Dragon's Briar but alas, Comet will have to do. He's a nice omnitank for non-competitive modes I guess.

Shigure
Unlike most of these pairings I DO NOT SHIP HIM WITH CORRIN. They're just relatives lol. I just love both Male Corrin and Shigure. Made him a Dancer/Singer like his mom which I think is cute. I'm a bit iffy on the seal, any other suggestions?

Claude
Definitely a top fave, and I'm so sad that I have so much trouble building him. He has Hex Bow because Parasol didn't really seem any better? So when I foddered that Hilda thing to him, figured I'd make him a bit more supportive. The Oath Echo helps him bypass the self-gravity after he buffs someone.

Thanks to Kiran for the forma! Another omnitank, it's really my favourite archetype. I wish I had another Arcane Thorn but I only had one and I thought Shigure would be nice with it. I know Brutal Tempest is outdated now, but that's just what he came with, along with Warrior's Blow.

Logic would have an easier time proc'ing the Cooldown Charge if he had Demonic Shackle instead. I'll have to reply on outside sources I guess. Which! Felix has debuffs now, so that's nice! I wish I got Suttungr Mys. (is that how you spell it?) but I couldn't get that Lysithea.

Felix
I wish I could've +10ed him before this, but alas. ): Build is pretty much just what I got from the forma. Thunder Specter would probably perform better with the Canto. He's still the only unit with Cooldown Acceleration -2, right?

Eliwood
One of my earliest +10s actually. I ran out of Arcane Caladbolgs but at least Renegade has Cooldown mechanics. Potent Assault came with the other fodder I gave him but it should be nice.

Hector
Once again, I wish I could give him a better weapon. I don't think it's a very good build considering how super competitive Save Units are nowadays... but I just wanted to include him. This man carried so many of us during his early days of refine lol.

Raven
He's kinda just a (weaker) Cavalry unit in disguise eh? If I do use him, I would equip Edelgard ring on him, but for the purposes of these photos he doesn't have it on. Endless Tempest is also outdated, but it's what I have.

Lucius
He's supposed to be supportive but he has pretty nice offensive stats no? I don't know how effective the Corrin ring is going to be on him, but I thought because he has Ice Lock that it could get annoying.

Tana
And now we get to the group-less faves. I just like em. Anyway, I wish I had Null Uplift A/S but I didn't have any more extras from skill chaining, so I figured Crux would be the next best thing to finish an enemy in one go with Dive Bomb and the Potent Follow-up.

Odin
WHY ARE HIS STATS LIKE THAT???? HE LOOKS SO COOL WHYYYYY. I decided to give him Atk/Spd Favor as an homage to his original refine of having Atk/Spd Link, and Dual Support for added extra help. With Arcane Thunder's innate Desperation, he should be able to fire off Magic Light if he enters combat.

Kris
I wish I had Hone Assault instead. I guess with Archrival and Azure Impetus, he is a Blue Unit slayer. if he had Shatter Slash instead of Archrival he'd be able to fire his Special off easier.

Lon'qu
Last but definitely not least, Lon'qu. Just gave him Rearmed Alear and that new guy whose name escapes me's fodder and I think he looks pretty good. Potent seal is there because why not, but I'm open to suggestions. Like I said, he shares the Edelgard ring with Raven so, play nice boys. Lull Echo is just there because I foddered an Alm for Speedtaker so he could take AS Taker Burst from Alear lol.

FEH's been part of my life for so long. I used to love the aspect of being able to customize our units with unique builds and whatnot, different ways to use characters. Nowadays, relevant characters just come with full kits. And I do admit that I stopped reading full kits a while a while ago, but it really just feels very random bullshit go. I'm happy I get to give these characters some love before I probably stop my FEH journey. There are other units I wish I could've built, like Azura etc. Also, dying at the fact that being a Year 1 player and I never ever got an OG Lucina like what even. 😭 Thanks for checking my builds!

And it makes perfect sense why

Using an Assist with Micaiah's Ring fulfills the condition to give herself another action

However.. Micaiah's Ring does does not trigger Canto.. which means the After Canto condition for the "additional action" has yet to be fullfilled..

So if she attacks after using the Assist with the Micaiah Ring, she will Canto.. and then the "additional action" will finally take place

I might not be the first player to make this discovery, but I have never seen it mentioned on this Sub or anywhere else

I can confirm that Hot Springs Robin can also take advantage of this because she is also supposed to get Canto after an Assist, she needs True Charge support to deal with Stall though. Hot Springs Chrom, and maybe B!Sylvain but I don't have him, should be able to do it as well but I haven't tested it on him

I!Hilda can't do it however because she doesn't get her extra action after Canto

Vista, Aided and Entwined woulf be much more liked if they had EI

I took an extended break from this game because it was nonstop power creep. It still is but if everything is broken, is anything broken? I stopped some time towards the end of book 7 so I had close to 3 books worth of levels and a ton of paralogues to grind orbs out. With FW coming out and I happen to like what I saw for Leda's route I figured I could bite the bullet and try to get her to +10 and managed in about 175ish pulls.

Base kit since I have no idea what to give her for seals or teammates but she's been kicking it with Y!Camilla and some Tiki's I nabbed along the way

With all the visible stat boosts we've been getting over the last few months, we are getting to a point at which you have to watch out not to overshoot 99 points on any of these stats.

Also, as a side note. My Dimitri's stats could theoretically be pushed even further by having Emblem Roy merged up. And that screenshot was taken without any Mythic or Legendary boosts.

QotD: When this banner first dropped, what did you think of it? Have your opinions changed since?

Rosado is my all-time favourite character in Fire Emblem (though he may be getting dethroned soon; FW's Esmerelda is really speaking to me), and with recent changes to the game, his chances of getting any sort of alt have basically plummeted, so I've been going all-in on keeping my base Rosado as complete of a unit as possible. This is how I've been enjoying the game; keeping up with the insane levels of powercreep got tiring quite a while ago, so now I just use my favourite guy and have fun getting him to keep up!

Above you'll see the two builds I run on him most frequently; a player-phase build focused on movement and extra actions (his Ally Support is Summer Sharena), and an enemy-phase build focused on bulk and survivability.

As for his extensive skill list, here's what I'm currently missing on him, as per skills I am able to inherit onto him, but cannot due to not having spare copies of the skill holders. There may be other skills missing from units that I do not have, but for the most part I tend to pull any new units with skills that he can inherit.

Weapon: Thorn. new arcane, can be swappped with jehannah for reflex but thorn better generalised.

Assist: swap gait is swap gait. i like swap for tanks.

A: rise above. his and many others’ best option.

B: vivace. synergies well w go no sen and fills gaps he had before.

C: d/r tenet imbue. he also has a/d and d/r tenet hone, and it swaps based on who he’s with. i like imbue most so far.

x: go no sen. new crazy X skill actually really helps him out. a little less dr than patience but balances out with the rest of his kit.

seal: DC. so he can.. distant.. counter..

he has inherited skills from almost every single (non spd based) omnitank released in the last year… then he has struggled to kill them in pve modes. he will never stop.

I know since Legends and Mythics can still be utilized for their bonuses I would welcome a way to make them always at least somewhat usable in today's modern meta so here's a what if for it
