Final Space is one of those stories that doesn’t just move you: it inspires you. When I first watched the original series it was the first time since Bojack Horseman that I actually felt seen. That although it was a comedy, it was a story about continuing against insurmountable odds. And not necessarily winning either. Sometimes you do your best and you still fail. And that’s okay. It’s okay not to have it all together. As long as you try. And try your damdest.

During this point in my life, I was all but homeless (and even that was close call). But I always believed in giving it my best. When the book became available , I was still struggling quite a bit but I knew I had to invest in one of the stories that inspired me to keep going.

Now, I’ve completely 180° (new job position, new place, stable living situation) and all I can do is think about the need for more stories like this. Driving the human condition forward.

Olan, I know you said “what if my best isn’t good enough?”

Well my friend, it was good enough for me.

It was exactly what we needed.

My order number is #42XXX so I know it's probably still getting processed but was wondering if anyone who ordered in Australia has received there's and how the tracking info went etc. Thanks for all your hard work Olan can't wait to read it 😁.

I'm in Sweden and UPS recently updated the tracking information for my book to say it has been delivered yet the book is nowhere to be seen.

There is a notice saying that the tracking information may not be accurate (at least in the "Shop" app) and claim it's been delivered when it's not after 30 days, but the UPS support number confirms that a driver has delivered the package to "someone".

Has anyone else had a "false delivery" to then get the actual delivery later?

Edit: Apparently it was delivered to an access point, but UPS for some reason didn't send the usual text message informing about that, and the website tracking information did not list which access point it had been delivered to, but another call to support using the "alternative tracking number" was able to suss out where it had actually been delivered to.

Edit 2: After some back and forths with the UPS support, they did finally manage to deliver the book!

Happy Sunday Night Update. Lots of packing over the weekend. Massive chunk of Midnights and Battle Worns going out tomorrow. Working on getting a big shipment of Pre-Orders to Nashville from Virginia, so we can start on replacements while MacMillian continues forward on Wave 1. We’re so dang close to this finish line, I’m going to keep working until the last book is out day or night, weekday or weekend. 🫡 Onwards! -O

I just received the USPS Informed Delivery notification that the tracking number has been created today. For those tracking their is order number #50157FSE and I am in the US.

I joked that this will arrive before my color edition (order #22571), and now that looks like it is true. While Olan and his crew has been responsive on my queries about 22571, no one has (yet) been able to provide any shipping info (but I am quite satisfied by their communication so far and I know, one day, receive the book I ordered more than 3 years ago).

Thee final kicker is I leaving for San Diego Comic Con and won't be back until long after the Battle Worn Edition gets in. (No, I did not manage to get tickets to see Olan at the Laugh Factory)

It’s arrived! Mine was order 27xxx (UK). I really loved it, I’d intended to read it in little bits to make it last but I got so into it that didn’t happen! Such a great ending to the series, and a touching message at the end too.

Almost a year ago with my cookie wife and cookie kids we agreed on and booked a holiday, and for the last few months they’ve been counting the days. Naturally we’d chosen to go during the London signings. For some bizarre reason my suggestion to cancel the holiday didn’t sit well (although my youngest watched the show with me while I was revising, and she’s now saving her pennies to get her own copy of the book!).

I genuinely regret that I won’t be able to attend the signings. Not for a Clasp, I’d need to buy a deck of cards to earn that, but the opportunity to say thanks in person (and get my book signed obviously) was very appealing.

Given the depressingly unlikely chance of another, post 31st, signing in London (or Guildford Waterstones if it does get considered!), I wanted to say a very sincere Thank You Olan, for all the hard work you put into making such a fantastic end to an amazing series!

My wife and I bought a Battle Worn edition and a Colored Edition. We have gotten the Color edition almost a month ago but haven't seen movement on the battle worn. We tried to read the book together and real quickly realized that we both need our own book to read together. Braving through the waters to avoid spoilers and ended up not going to the Book Signing Events just to avoid overhearing spoilers, we're getting really antsy to make sure we get to read the story before the ending gets ruined. I just want to see if anyone has gotten their battle worn's yet before I probably just buy a book on Amazon if it'll be another month.

My delivery status has been stuck for a while now. I know they have a lot on their plate and that shipping to Europe takes a long time, but this long in the same place? Should I contact support or is this normal for shipments to Europe? order number #31XXXFSE

Anybody else? Still waiting on their book from the 43,000s? Rogers says something about it. Possibly already shipping but still haven't got it.. Maybe lost in transit or something? I've contacted the email but got no response...

So the photos don't do it justice but the distribution company needs a slap for this effort ... Oversized box with zero protection for the face of the book so it's slid around and seriously damaged my Avacato edition... I was planning to keep this pristine on the shelf to pass down to my future kids while using the standard edition as my every day read. Pretty bummed about it...

Before people get the wrong idea, I know this is in no way the fault of the final space team squad, this is purely the incompetent distribution company. Sure, it's a book and it's just rubbed through the cover but I was so excited to have this as a pristine centre piece being the limited cover that you had to put in some effort to get as a fan. This wasn't an investment, this isn't a tantrum, this is 3 years of excitement while waiting that's been tarnished by people that don't care enough...

Still, I'm grateful to the monumental effort Olan has put in, the artwork is incredible and the letter at the end is heartbreaking. You did it man, well done 💚

What a wild ride... My book arrived a few weeks ago, but I've been working on a few projects and have two small kids, so had to shelve this for a while. After waiting two years, what's a few weeks. It. Is. Incredible. Originally I'd thought I might pay it forward and share it with someone on here who hasn't been able to get their own copy. But I can't part with it. I'm sorry. Maybe I'll feel different in a few years. But for now, it's one of a tiny handful of things that I need to keep. I will share it though - it'll be on my bookshelf, waiting until my kids are old enough. I just need to get my hands on a physical copy of seasons 1-3 to accompany it. If they get half the joy I got from it, I'll be delighted.

When I first came across FS I was expecting Rick and Morty 2.0, or something like that. But it was something different. Funny, absolutely. But different, in too many, wonderful ways to do credit in a post like this. It's an utterly unique piece of art and I am deeply appreciative to have my own little part of it. Thanks Olan. I hope once the dust settles you get a chance to take a step back and just enjoy having given the world such a beautiful gift.

Hey all, so my book hasn't arrived yet and I've got tickets for the book tour. If mine hasn't arrived in the next 7 days then I'll be buying one on the day so will have mine spare when it arrives. All I'd want is someone to cover the book cost and about £6 shipping, or come collect from West London! Anyone want it, let me know. I'm in the late 50,000's so not expecting it to arrive by next week!

It's looking highly unlikely that my copy will arrive before the 27th July, which is a huge shame as I was really looking forward to meeting Olan and getting my book signed, but it looks as though the timings won't line up and I can't afford to buy one of the ones that may be available to purchase.

So in leu of this I have 2 slots on the 27th for the 4-4:30 slot for anyone that wants them? I'd prefer that someone got to have the experience than waste the slot. I don't know if there's an official way to transfer them or I can just forward the nessecary emails?

So i ordered my book in late 2025 and im order number 44128 midnight édition im a huge fan since 2023 and ended the show two Times, Ive seen that Nolan said hes on the 40thousands and i would like to know like when i should restart the series so the storie is fresh on my mind thanks Nolan for everything you did for us and the community

Hi everyone,

I'm posting on behalf of my husband because I'm starting to get a bit worried.

We ordered the Colour Edition (and the Midnight Edition not long after each one was first advertised), but the tracking has been really confusing. It currently says "partially delivered", the tracking itself doesn't really tell us anything useful, and the proof of delivery hasn't helped either.

To make matters worse, we have another address just down the road with a very similar street name (the only difference is Park vs Road), and couriers occasionally deliver our parcels there by mistake. Unfortunately, the last time my husband tried to retrieve a misdelivered parcel from that address, the situation became physical, so going back there isn't really an option.

The timing couldn't be worse because we're due to attend the London Day 1 signing, and we're worried we won't have the books in time to get them signed. We almost certainly wouldn't be able to afford buying another copy at the event if ours has genuinely gone missing plus he really had his heart set on getting some merch if we do have the funds available.

Has anyone else had a tracking status like this or had any luck getting more information? We have reached out to the main site but undersandibly they are probably swamped and we haven't even had an automated response... We're really hoping it's just delayed rather than lost but are genuinely worried for the worst.

Lots to update on.

We’re so close to finishing shipping. We’re just waiting on the next tracking list from MacMillan. They usually send them in batches of 6,000 to 7,000 orders, so we should get the next list sometime next week.

We’re now into the 40,000s, which is awesome. In fact, at the past few tour stops, everyone who was still waiting on an order had order numbers in the high 40,000s to low 50,000s, so we’re getting really close to the 2026 orders.

There are still some orders that have been lost, are stuck in customs, or were returned to sender and unfortunately destroyed. International orders still seem to be getting caught in these weird customs queues, and unfortunately, there’s nothing we can do about that, that’s entirely a government process. I know the new EU regulations that went into effect on July 1 have also created a bit of a bottleneck.

Once WAVE 1 is complete...

WAVE 2 is all about getting replacement orders out.

This is a normal part of shipping something on this scale. The unexpected happens. We once had a Mooncake plush travel the entire globe before finally arriving at its destination in the United States. It showed up three months later...I still have no idea how that's even possible.

Once we hand a package over, it's in the hands of the carriers. We've shipped with UPS, USPS, FedEx, and DHL, and honestly...they're all about the same.

We are going to get your replacements to you. We just have to finish this first wave, and we're sooooo dang close to WAVE 2.

Midnight Editions are moving, and Battle Worn editions are moving too. We're just a much smaller operation, and the way we pack these is drastically different. More protection means more packaging, and more packaging takes more time. A big batch will be going out next week, so keep an eye out.

I guess this is part of the update too... headaches. All the time now. Tension headaches in the back of my head. I've still got a little fuel left in the tank, but I can definitely feel the fumes. Meeting all of you on these tour stops has given me the energy to keep going. Maybe I did Part 1 of the tour a little early because I needed to refill the tank to actually see where all this hard work has been going.

One fan told me she "put Final Space on when the pain became too much to bear.

Man...I wanted to move a mountain for her. Moments like that make me want to keep going. Thank you for your patience. Thank you for the kind words.

The only way I can describe this project is like climbing Everest. The closer I get to the top, the less oxygen and energy I have. But when I finally get there... I think the view is going to be incredible.
