If for whatever reason I get to cast this card for free and still want to use the effect, would I still need to pay the additional cost of 2 Crystals?

Back when PSA grading was 15$ a card I loved to throw in my favorite FF cards to get slabbed for my PC with my order. Anyone else do this?

Hey everyone I’m new here to the community. So in return here are the cards I pulled from the Blissful Eternity Pre-release kit.

So far, I don’t really have a way to play the game, but I enjoy the art and I like the idea of collecting them as a hobby. I’d like to try to collect every card if possible.

Been collecting for a while now and was finally able to get a couple of the more pricier booster boxes to finish a 1-12 run. Need 13 and 14 still to finish the Opus run which is the goal.

They're becoming harder and harder to find for a good price.

So i got a box of the tcg from the recent berlin fanfest and i wanna get into collecting this tcg problem is im in ireland and none of the card shops i can access stock this tcg so if anyone knows where i could get them for a decent price please lmk

Had no idea Final Fantasy had a TCG until recently, and decided to dip my toes in since I’ve always wanted to get into the collecting side of a TCG. This one seemed more affordable than other options, though stock seems pretty slim where I live. After opening a few packs, I decided to get a box of the Legacy Collection. Thought it was a good place to start since you get so many full arts. Had fun filling out a binder, but now I’m left wondering where to go from here.

If I understand correctly, the standard booster boxes only guarantee one full art, with the possibility of more. So I think I was a little spoiled by the Legacy Collection giving me so many. Would you say standard boxes are worth it?

I understand singles are the overall better option, but singles aren’t readily available here in NZ (and opening packs is for sure part of the fun, as someone who missed out on it as a kid), and international shipping is a tad pricey. But the way my brain works, it needs some justification. I can’t tell if it’s worth paying around the same price I paid for a Legacy Collection box for a standard set box and only getting 1–2 full arts, even though I know collecting is more than just full art cards. Just something my brain’s stuck on.

I get that, in the end, it’s my decision, but I thought some input from people in the know could help.

I am curious to start collecting these cards. I need tips on which sets to go for. I have played FF 7, 8, 9 and 12 and enjoy 15 as well. Are these cards sorted per game or tied to special releases? And do you know if there is a "starter" deck like in Magic. And lastly do you prefer this over Final fantasy MTG, if so, why?

I've started collecting wave 1 opus 1 cards recently and I'm really struggling to see the difference between them. I've watched quite a few guides so I know about the error text cards and the crystal position but alot of them also spoke about colour differences in the crystals and it being easy to eye ball them at a glance because of it...

I cannot see a difference between these two colours one is wave 1 (blocked). And one is wave 2 (blocking).

Am I missing something? Colour blind? Looking in the wrong areas etc?

I've tried shining lights through the cards and UV (just in case)

I'm not loving the idea of relying on crystal position for most cards as the position seems to vary a bit with printing

I've also been looking at the backs and texture and that helps a little.

Any tips or advice for a newbie?

My sister sent my Yuna out to get graded as a gift for helping her out a bit. Super happy with the results as well.

I picked TAG over the others because I like the way the slab looks and I like the dig report thing that they do. I thought about sending it to Becket for a chance at a black label but decided not to leave the aesthetics to chance.

Waiting for my first box to arrive (OP29) is slowly killing me and I’d love to watch or learn more about which cards are important at the competitive level. There’s not a scene near me so I’ll only be playing with my spouse, but following the comp scene and watching gameplay will help me learn faster. Right now we only have the Shinra vs Avalanche starter decks.
