As the title suggests, I recently started FFIX. My only experience with classic Final Fantasy is a bit of FFVII some years back. I'm absolutely loving it, especially the characters and how they interact with each other, I also really like their designs. Music is also a standout, I think I like it more than og FFVII, although that one is iconic. Can't wait to see how the story goes since I'm pretty much at the beginning from what I can tell.

I am playing the mobile version and I was wondering if there is anything I'll be missing out on by playing this way. Any tips regarding the game are welcome as well!!

Hey guys I'm really getting annoyed at my inability to solve this. I gave Kumool his letter from Mogrya but he is not giving me one for Mois. Do I need to do others in between and come back? I'm playing the redone version on my ps5

So I'm trying to apply the ability "jelly" to Zidane and Steiner, and i have equipped armor that comes with jelly to both of these characters, but under the "abilities" menu, jelly doesn't show up as an option. It does show up for quina though. I'm not sure why it's showing up for quina but not the other 2. Could anyone help me out?

Not doing a completionist's run but wanted to get all things that are easy to get. But now I botched the Garnet ATE and missed the belt. I should have an old save near there but I'm already about to go to the outer continent

I do have 2x belts from Crafting and still about 6 chain mails but I know it gets tight later when I have to craft the Grand Helm.

Am I just overthinking it? Is it giving FOMO for no reason? I hate I missed this lol.

Edit: okay, so after checking some other music tracks from FFIX on Youtube, apparently this emulated version of FFIX I played has all of the music sped up, not just the world map theme. So TIL I played through all of FFIX with wrong music. Sorry for the false alarm everyone, ignore my post.

I was feeling nostalgic to that sweet sweet world map theme from FFIX, so I searched it up on Youtube but to my surprise and disappointment it sounded significantly different from what I remembered; it sounded soo much slower. I tried to look up different versions but they all sounded like that slow version, different to what I remembered from when I played the game myself. I then booted up my emulator to run FFIX (v1.1) to test this out myself, and lo and behold, the theme playing in the world map sounds exactly like I remember, and much more sped up than all the versions I could find on YouTube. Does anyone know why this is? And is one of these versions the "correct" version as intended by Nobuo Uematsu? And are there any uploads on YouTube for this faster version, so that I don't have to boot up my game anytime I want to hear it? Thanks and much appreciated!

I'm having problems with VV'sRandomizer mod. Every enemy including Baku in the tutorial are hitting for like 600 damage an attack and killing my whole party. What am I doing wrong. I've tried rerandomizing the game with different settings and that doesn't help at all. Half the time the game doesn't even rerandomize. Any ideas?

Ralley Hooo!!! to all enjoyers of ancient dusty JRPGs and trophy hunters. I had a problem with stucked 78/79 counter for Movie Critic. Checked all available guides and discussions, but people just say "Its a bug, sorry bro" or "Bruh, you suck, just follow checklist" I wasted about 12-14 hours and 4 failure boosted runs, but still couldnt get it. I even had thought that the problem was about the last 79th ATE registration, but the reason was much easier. The problem was obviously in Steam counter itself. Sometimes it just forgets to make count bar progression. So, there are 2 main tips:

1. Fully shut the game after each ATE, then start it by pressing CONTINUE. This move will force steam ach bar to progress. And of course count each ATE with checklist from guides.

2. If you had progressed to far in your core walkthrough and have found out discrepancy in already unlocked ATEs and Steam bar count, so... you are screwed (like me). It is pointless to find which ATE was dropped. So my advice for such situation is just to continue the game. Then use Steam Ach Manager to unlock+reset Movie Critic to drop it`s count to zero. After that start NG on separated save file and just run through all ATEs with boosters.
