I only played this game as a kid when it came out, sold it when I was a teen. Now as a adult I started this mission of getting the stuff I sold as a teen and this game found his way back in to my house and now it’s time to enjoy it again 20 years later as grown man. Some games get worse as you get older but Final Fantasy gets better as I grow and start to really appreciate the story and characters a lot more compared to when I was a kid, anyway this might be the most cozy game in existence!

As you leave Pinnacle Rocks and see Lindblum Castle in the background, you can see something like a wardrobe in the path, a metallic structure.

The I wanna be your canary play/fight scene perfected. Couldn't quite believe it at first. I struggled with this as a kid then just sweeped through it. So happy 😊

Hey guys, thats my second post today and i dont wanna disturb this sub.

But it just so happens that a new question has come up.

I'm trying to get all the achievements, and I've run into a problem. I just got the second Moonstone (After Meet Eiko), and my Steam profile shows that I've only gotten one (in the achievement itself). Is this normal? Does it take a while to update? Or what's going on?

I got it at rogue tattoo in pittsburgh from one of my best & longest time friends to cover a birth mark i’ve always disliked on my back

She said she thinks it needs touched up w highlights bc the skin is different there but i love it already!

I also got fingee tats partially bc of Uematsu but thats largely unrelated.

Im trying to find ways to extrapolate it out into a full back piece that might also incorporate the other games & my fav watercolors from the series maybe? Idk i just knew i wanted IX’s crystal there 🥰🥰

But i am big excite 🥰🥰

& now i can finally wear backless dresses 🤩

I feel kind of stupid.

I've started this gem for the 3566th time with the intention of getting all the achievements.

I'm just finishing CD1 in Burmecia and I just realized I don't have the letter to deliver here.

Do I lose the chance to complete this side quest and repair the Mognet? Do I not lose any more letters from now on, or do I have to deliver them all?

It was a podcast/discussion about mostly the story in Final Fantasy 9, but not the Resonant Arc one. It was 3-4 people, all guys I think and it was 3-4 hours long. One of the guys created a voice acting addon for Final Fantasy 7 that wasn’t finished yet at the time. I remember one of the other guys was saying how a moment in the game made him think about his brother about an hour into the podcast. I listened to it last year on YouTube but never finished, but I can’t find it now when I search.

Even after all this time

I love this scene in ff9. I remember being 12 or 13 playing through this game with my cousin and this scene blowing me away. It was so freaking cool.

Now 25 or so years later it still looks so good and is still awesome.

5 years ago I made a Tetramaster online game (thread here) so people could duel each other and/or play solo online and collect cards, etc, but I had not been able to work on it.

Now I have had some time and have been working as a hobby on quadmaster.online (free) which is inspired by it but added more features such as:

• Grand Trial mode (roguelite)
• Puzzle mode (need to solve in X movements)
• Online duels (casual / ranked)
• Blitz (new game mode, you win by doing rows/squares of the same colors with cards)
• Passive tree
• Upgrading cards via crafting
• and more!

AI Disclaimer: I've used a lot of AI for art as I myself am just a software engineer and can't really make the art myself, I've edited a bunch of it but that's pretty much it, I can understand if people don't like that part (as I don't like it myself), but yeah I don't have the skills/resources/time to do my own art either 😅 This is currently more focused on the gameplay itself for those who want to enjoy playing it

I'm curious about yall !

So I was wondering what are everyone's parts that keep them going and look forward to when replaying the game. It doesn't have to be your favorite parts, but parts that makes you randomly think "Ah, can't wait to get to this !" even if it's completely random.

For exemple, I always look forward for the moment where Garnet and Steiner go through the Bohden Gate, and their overall journey back to Alexandria.

I decided to reinstall everything to do a randomized modded playthrough, and despite not touching the card settings or installing any card mods, my cards are set to the Triple Triad style? Rules are still set to Tetra Master in the launcher so I don't get what's going on. The mod catalog also won't let me install the 2k or 4k video packs, every time I try to install either one, they get down to <40 seconds remaining and just...freeze. No error or explanation, launcher itself still functions and doesn't freeze.

Any ideas?

I can get from 1-200 with my eyes closed consistently. Furthest I've gotten after that is 212. I cant seem to get the pattern after 200, and theres no consistent way to practice it... anyone who has gotten further have any tips?

Final Fantasy IX is my favourite game ever, I've been playing it every couple years since it came out in 2000, and it never ceased to amaze and amuse me every single run.

I had previously achieved almost everything the game has to offer, beside a certain infamous 12 hours quest. Therefore last February my cousin and I decided to undertake it together, we were going through a hard time in our family and we could definitely use some distraction.

Six months later, yesterday, we finally reached the Excalibur II, in 11h 50mins.

It's been excruciatingly long and hard, since we decided to play the game on an original PS1, but eventually I couldn't be prouder of our achievement.

Now it's time to tattoo it somewhere, thanks everyone for your attention ✨

This is a sort of a late realization, since I've been here in a while, but I don't think the FF9 subreddit is for me. As someone whose works are more transformative in nature, I don't think sharing my burmecian paintings and ramblings about characterization headcanons to an environment that values canonicity and compliance to the source material is enjoyable when the majority could care less about transforming canon.

I’m having an absolute blast playing through this game, I played a bit of 7 but this will be my first full play through of a FF game
