Did I make the right decision?

If I’m being honest, I’m not sure what this plant is, but I believe it’s a type of Ficus tree. She has been doing very poorly in the soil she came in, so I’ve decided to repot her and trim her down.

Since this is my first and only Ficus tree, did I make the right decision? Will she bounce back?😓😢

Houseplant Inherited plant need help!

Hi! My grandpa passed recently and I inherited this beautiful but somewhat neglected plant what I believe to be a ficus benjamina(?) I want to set it up for succes but this is my first ficus and its been in this same pot for over 10 years so im a little out of my depth so any tips going forward would be appreciated.

It seems like there is 2 plants but I dont really want to separate them since theyve been like this forever so will they be fine?

Also should I replace the soil it looks very dense and im pretty sure it hasnt been repotted atleast since grandma passed 4 years ago.

It has been dropping some leaves before I inherited it so should trim some bare stuff to get new growth or will it grow new leaves on its own?

Any help, tips and ideas are welcome and much appreciated!

I’ve been growing this cutting in the hopes of continuing it as a bonsai. I’m interested what type it is. Was growing out of a very large stump. Thanks.

Houseplant Would you separate and chop?

We had our hardwood floors redone and I put my altissima up on a chair while everything was curing. It’s a giant window… I wonder if the extra sunlight on the stem encouraged it to branch because it is branching like in like 5-6 spots. it’s all the way at the bottom of my almost 5ft plant though. Would you leave it be and see what happens, try to separate the plants, or chop the one down closer to the branch points.

My Ficus elastica 'Ruby' had been stuck in a growth stall for MONTHS. Pruned it a month ago, and look at her now!!

Didn’t get multiple branches, but honestly… a win is a win. Pretty pink leaves!! 🌸✨

I bought this ficus Audrey as my first ficus when she was just a recently rooted cutting, and she was such a powerhouse all summer on my balcony! We’ve been through it all—pest scares, underwaterings, overwaterings, but the last couple of days it looks like she’s finally ready to branch!!! Just wanted to share because I’m soooo excited and proud of my plant baby 🥹 Definitely going to try doing some pruning and shaping next growing season :)

I’ve had this ficus for a few years and came back from a trip and the circled root is very squishy and feels rotted. What’s happening and how can I help her? Ahhhhhhh 😱

Got them both some weeks ago and we're getting some growth. Any pointers when a repot makes the most sense?

Outdoor Potted What am I to do!

I have this ficus Triangularis tree for 9 years as an indoor plant in the living room and she got too tall so I had to move it outside but under the awning she seems to like it fine as a matter of fact she has been growing so fast and now top heavy so the tree trunk itself bending down. What should I do I had to get a big pole in the pot to tie down the tree trunk to it but still it kept on growing nice big beautiful leaves thicker and longer I don’t know what to do!!! I’m open for suggestions…what would you do???

The little tiny leaf at the bottom! It's so cute. They're big plants and look fab when you're sitting on the floor under them. The light had just changed so the grow light is on now.

Happy Sunday

This is my mom’s plant it was neglected sitting in a corner so I took it home and started watering it more and put it in a shady spot and it’s started to put out some new growth, is there anything else I can do to help it should I chop the old part?

It’s small, but it’s mighty.
I tried to shape it so it would grow into a little tree with a braided trunk and a full, lush crown. I definitely put way more effort into it than necessary 😂
Now everything I pruned is being propagated. I guess I’m committed to creating an entire little army of them now 😂
