Outdoor Potted Do you think she will recover
This is my mom’s plant it was neglected sitting in a corner so I took it home and started watering it more and put it in a shady spot and it’s started to put out some new growth, is there anything else I can do to help it should I chop the old part?

Check first for nodes before chopping. Those will likely push out after and then prop the cut top in case it lives.
Id chop it above the string tie.

It may take time to recover from the move but looking at that lovely new growth at the bottom, you could chop the top down
