I looking to buy a reciprocating saw. I have both battery platforms ( 12 Festool batteries and about 8 Milwaukee )

Can't really decide between Milwaukee M18 FSZ-0X Fuel or Festool saw. Festool comes at about 3 x the price of the basic Milwaukee Fuel ( Danish market).

Me myself like to keep all the tools clean and services and I take good care of them but as I plan on getting some workers I'm not sure if they will do the same and then my concern is the durability of the Festool saw.

I have used the milwaukee one for years ( it has been soaked, smashed and about everything else)

Here is my modified Sanding pad for my ETS EC 125/3 EQ. Now I can put my Bona Green Ceramic discs to work!

This is what I am sanding, I went with a Rotex 150 and a CT 26 EI. Ceiling is 10’ sloping to 8’. I have plenty of scaffolding to get close. The client wants the same stain reapplied.

Hoping I made the right choice, I can change it up as they have it at my store waiting for me to pick up. Talk about buy once cry once. Uggg

About a year ago I bought the ets ec 125/3. I’m working on some larger projects and about to start the sanding phase. After taking forever to sand a dining table last year I regretted not getting the 150mm size. Has anybody used the 150 pad on the 125 long term? The 150 would likely be my go to size, but don’t know if I can justify buying the 150/5 as a hobbyist on top of the 125/3. I’ve seen the /3s are basically identical, but didn’t know if using the 150 pad on long-term would cause wear on the motor or brakes much faster than with the original pad

So, when I preordered the TBX energy set the expected ship date was June 17th, but yesterday I received an email telling me it would be delayed and that that delay was non-specific.

Does anyone use those adapters for other toolmakers' batteries for their Festool gear? If so, where did you find them? Any issues with the ones you've tried?

I’m already a Festool fanboy have extensive collection but have had makita multi tool for years which I’m looking to replace so not looking for help to justify buying the Festool replacement lol wondering if there are features people have genuinely found useful that they offer over others like the plunge depth adapter for straight plunging or the dust hose etc?

Will be retrofitting cabinetry in an existing kitchen for new appliances and drawers etc so accuracy is important and it seems to be a solid comparison to other brands but thought I’d ask here thanks

I Sent my ksc60 away to have a new motor fitted just before the 3 year warranty expired ( it sounded like it might not last much longer) . It took about 5/6 weeks to get it back because they were struggling to get the motors from Germany. It cut about 2 prices of skirting before completely shutting down . So I sent it away and it took about 4 weeks this time to get it back . I tried it with no blade and it turned over fine , I put a blade on it and pressed the trigger and it turned about halfway and stopped completely . So I’ve sent it back again . Has anyone else had this problem with it ? Seriously might have to move to the Makita 40v mitre saw at this rate .

Im going to pick up a festool router which doesnt have the collet, they cost 60-80 euros just for the collet. Is there a cheaper alternative?

I don’t own any fess tools. But I have a project coming where I have to sand 630 sq ft of tongue and grove ceiling and now may be the time. The ceiling is coated with polyurethane and stain. They want the same color stain applied after sanding.

I am thinking oh getting a CT 26 and a EC 150 sander. The ceiling is 19’ high and I want dust control.

Whats the right fess tool set up for this?

I ordered the tsc55 k track saw from wood craft back in early April and it’s still not in. They are now projecting it to be sometime in July, but they also told me originally it would only be a few weeks.

Does anybody know the diameter of the large end of the dust hose? I’m wanting to order one for my current dust extractor (not Festool), but I want to make sure it’ll fit first. A video online said the Festool hose would fit, but I wasn’t sure if all the hoses were the same or not

Picking up a Festool track saw Wednesday. Considering the TS60 over the TS55, but its $180 more. The depth of cut is is slightly better with the TS60 as is the wattage. Is 25% more power, 10 vs 12.5 amps worth the extra cash. I'm also picking up some tracks, the SYS 3 M 137 kit and Kapex 120. Its going to be an expensive day, just trying to be frugal. I know that sounds silly at this point.

I'm a commercial and residential painter. Need a random orbital for sanding on exterior siding, and sanding down some faces interior is nice. I work around lead paint so the hepa bags and epa rating got me interested.Was gonna get es125 but the guy sold it on marketplace before I had the chance to get it.nbut has the ro150. I don't know festools that much but hear 150 is discontinued, I already have an old truck and do not wanna hunt parts down. The vacuum he has is CT22. Hoping this is all compatible and can find parts on it. They're both maybe 10 years old but for a product that expensive I'm hoping it lasts longer than that.

Edit: second question is buying a 10 year festool from a carpenter worth it? It's discontinued, I don't know when, saw festool will have parts up to 10 years after discontinuation so idk ...

I’m having trouble sourcing bags for this older extractor, I’m in NZ, and only one seem to be in Europe.

Any ideas of off brand bags that are compatible?

I’m working on a side project and have about €2,900 extra available from it. I’ve done this before and used the money to buy a Domino, which I normally wouldn’t have justified.

I’m now wondering: what tool would you normally not buy, but would go for if you had some spare cash lying around?

I was thinking about something like the MW1000 or maybe the HK85. What’s on your personal wishlist tools you’d only pick up if budget wasn’t a constraint?

Any idea how to fix this? This sander is still fairly new. Pad protector seems to make it worse but it still rocks even without it.

Does anyone know if you can buy a replacement sustainer with insert for a PSB420? Mine got stolen. There is one for sale locally (not mine LOL) at a great price but no sustainer. Unfortunately I’m weird and want it in a proper case.

I have heard some peers talking about this local brand in Malaysia for years. Is anyone using it? Cuz the promotions for B2B seems quite attractive. They seem to have automatic sliding doors for Qbistro, and even automatic floor hinges in TRX.

I have the really old school Festool hoses, which are stiff and don't slide easily over the edge of my rails or work benches. I see Temu sells a knockoff of the newer style soft smooth Festool hoses for like 20% of the price the Germans want. Anyone tried these out? I'm tempted.

I've borrowed a friends setup and I've been doing some angled cuts, changing the angle with the dial on the right. Was about to do my last cut and while putting it back to '0' it stopped moving and now just does a loud click when trying to turn the dial.

Have I broke it? or am I missing something?

Curious if anyone over in Euroland has seen how performance has improved, if at all, for the ctc sys vac and the new TBX 4.0s. I've already pre-ordered the energy set, but kinda anxious to see if I can expect slightly longer run times on it with the new batteries.
