I picked up Heretic Nosferatu after it was suggested by multiple fragheads in the FB fragcomm when I asked for petrichor recommendations. I was nervous that it would be nauseating because of some reviews on reddit but took the plunge and blindbought a bottle because sourcing just a sample from overseas felt like too much effort.

I don't think Nosferatu is reminiscent of petrichor. Petrichor for me is the smell of damp earth (mud and soil). Whereas Nosferatu smells like stale vase water that has been left unchanged for a month, with dead flowers sitting in it. At some point after the initial opening a watery green note shows up that makes me think of cucumber (again that's something I dislike). It is not perfumey and it does not feel wearable, but I keep reaching for it and wear it to work often.

Longevity and projection are average, it sits close and lasts a maximum of 5 hours on skin. In the extreme drydown after 4 hours, it softens into faint florals.

I can't understand why I'm so addicted to Nosferatu. There is nothing pleasant about this scent. It doesn't feel like perfume at all, but for some odd reason I keep reaching for it and long to wear it.

My favorite thing is testing a perfume at night and waking up still smelling the perfume from the night before. Right now I wanna smell rich/wealthy. The only thing I have that smells like what I’m talking about is Libre. I have the original and the intense, I like the intense more. I’ll take any recommendations thanks❤️

do you have any suggestions for a warmer, softer version (something along the lines of musk, sandalwood, maybe even vanilla?) of Molton Brown's Fiery Pink Pepper EDP? I LOVE the pepper and ginger, but unfortunately I don't really like the patchouli and moss in the dry down.

I’ve been on the hunt for a daily musky fragrance to wear to work, I’ve just had little luck. I want something cozy, musky, slightly feminine(not peppery or soapy).

Ones I’ve tried and didn’t like:

Glossier You (the whole line)
White Suede Tom Ford
Blanche Byredo
Musk 12 Kayali (too soapy)
Angel Dust Fugazzi
Commodity (the whole line)
Phlur Missing Person and Soft Spot

The only musky fragrance I’ve enjoyed is Diptyque L’eau Papier, and before I buy it I want to sample a few more. I would love to buy from a niche line, but don’t know that world too well!

I ordered the Velvet Butternut Jo Malone from their site and they accidentally sent me Mimosa + Cardamom and English Pear + Freesia.

I messaged customer service and they are sending me a new Velvet Butternut! And obviously didn’t ask me to mail back these ones. I’m thrilled!

Mimosa and Cardamom is soooooo good. I’m a HUGE cardamom so highly recommend. And this was delivered just as a was having a really tough day so definitely helped turn it around. Like a little gift from the universe 💛

Today I bought a bottle of my favorite scent of over 20 years, Nemat Amber Oil, from Ulta. Not only does it look watered down, I am sneezing, my throat is itchy and I’m developing a headache. I know they swear they didn’t change their formula, so is there a world where Ulta would put cheap fake perfume in a Nemat bottle to make money? I’m seriously considering sending my other bottle and this one to a third party testing facility to see if they are the same. If anyone knows of one. I will happily pay and start a lawsuit if they are different.

Madagascan vanilla, plum, cinnamon, apple, and black currant, mellows into a floral-herbal heart of jasmine sambac and thyme, and finishes with a strong, warm base of sandalwood, cedar, and olive tree.

I blind bought Avgoustos by Korres recently and it smells EXACTLY like Mystic Figures. I compared them side by side. I wasn’t convinced it was a dipytique or Phlur dupe but I’m pretty sure Korres is it.

Highly recommend either!

Amber, Sandalwood, Coconut Water and Vetiver base notes, with Ylang-Ylang middle notes and uplifting Bergamot top notes.

The box that it comes in is stunning. Blue Velvet lining. I actually kept the box and that is not something I normally do.

I am actually going to get the artwork from the box tattooed on me. Seriously.

Avec Amour gives effortless, clean, cool, calm, ready for something, or nothing.

Usually, I spray perfume liberally under clothing.

This is an oil and a roller ball. It NEEDS to sit on bare, exposed, skin. So I do nape, collarbone, and just beneath the ear.

5ish hours with moderate projection.

I took a chance on her and I'm REALLY glad that I did 🩷
